After reading this book I am looking for Sweet Tempest. All
she wrote and worth reading!!!

This is one of my favorite novels by Johnstone. The premise is that a species of killer bats starts attacking an entire town. It is a suspense-filled story, as the heroes are afraid to go outside for fear the bats will get them. Nothing seems to affect the bats, and all hope seems lost. But in the end, one of the townspeople comes up with a plan that makes it all work out in the end.

If you can find it, buy it; I believe it is now out of print. I love stories with pirates. This one is one of the best. Lucian, the pirate finds that his arch enemy's fiance Sarina is aboard a ship he raids. As he wants revenge on the guy, he intends to steal her virtue. The enemy, a conniving jerk, only wants her money so she is better off without him. The book captures you right from the beginning. The ending was everything I wanted it to be. I understand this was the first historical romance by this author. The second is Beloved Intruder which I found and am now reading (so far very good). I will not stop until I find all of Ms. Van Nuys' books. She has an incredible gift of story telling. As I said, I'm current reading my second Joan Van Nuys book and have another unread yet in my book shelf. They seem to all have completely different story lines, therefore, I don't think they need to be read in any specific order. If you find them, get them, you won't regret it.

What a wonderful read!. Couldn't put it down. Bravo! Anne and Bay are truely unforgetable characters.

This was one of my first historical romance novels and I read it. The heroinne actually is betrothed and gets in a ship wreck. Some pirates rescue her, and she ends up being kidnapped and forced into marriage. But then she grows to love her "pirate". It has action such as a ship wreck and a few sword fights. Someone attempts to kill her (an ex-lover, very jealous). Including other things. Its been a long time since I read the book, but I think it was very realistic, real character and loved the plot. it will probably remail one of my favorites forever.

All I can say is WOW! This has got to be one of the best books I have read in a long time. It truly brings a new meaning to being best friends. You want to feel sorry for Karen, but at the same time, she makes it so hard for everyone. This book is truly a pageturner and I had the whole thing read in just one day! I couldn't get enough and almost wanted to cry when I got to the last page. Thanks for such a wonderful book.

A mother and son get caught up with a woman serial killer and abag of stolen money, a hint of comedy and a lot of thrills on the way, I really enjoyed the book, Sonja Massie grabs you from the beginning and never lets up, more please!

Janis Laden is a magnificent writer. Every one of her books is a superb example of the Regency genre. Sadly, this extraordinary writer has all but disappeared. Thank goodness for Amazon.com where Janis Laden's work still lives! Some of her other books include, Saphire Temptation, A Whisper of Scandal, A Noble Mistress, & Scottish Rose.

I love witch stories and these are a rare delight that you don't often get in the traditional regency, especially Lynn Collum's The Bewitched Baron. I laughed out loud. Each story has a little different take on the world of magic, but that doesn't lessen the magic a bit.
