Starting with one of the best opening lines, this is one cool trip through America's most interesting cities. New Orleans IS American's eternal city and this spook visit is well worth the read.

Find this book and read it. Keep it and read it again. Mr. Ames knows his stuff and works hard to deliver.

John Edward Ames is an expert at using the New Orleans environment and the local Louisiana weather to add suspense to an already tense story. The "Asylum" takes off like a bullet out of the barrel of a saturday night special. And the character of Reno Sloan, a lawyer turned detective, fits the scenery like it was molded for him. The "Asylum" is a fine gumbo of hardboiled horror. I recommend it as a fast read.

Marilyn I will never forget the night you scared all the neighborhood kids to death telling your ghost tales. We all screamed as you told one in particular. You couldn't have been more than 17 then. I should have known you would write such a great horror book as Baby Doll. I remember well how you use to talk to your cats and play touch football with us on the front lawn. Just in case you don't know who I am since I am not using my maiden name.... Thank God for Tucker Town, Zayes Road and the lake. I miss those good ole days. Thank you for coaching me to make cheerleader but just as I was to do my tryout a boy I was madly in love with at the time walked across the gym floor. I nearly fainted. My knees went weak and so did the spotlight as to me making cheerleader. I am very proud of you and what you have accomplished in life. Keep up the good work and keep writing. Wanda

I know no one looking on this review will believe it, but I know the author personally. She is a smart, beautiful woman, and she writes exceptionally well. Her name to me is simply the "Ravishing Marilyn." Her daughter is my BEST friend in the world. This is a book that should be on EVERYONE'S book shelves; they will make your others shine. She's extremely talented and a VERY wonderful person. I hope she writes another book, I'll surely strive to own them all.

This review is posted at ROMANCEJUNKIES.com in its entirety.

Felix Valasay is the youngest brother in a prominent family of magical Croyant sorcerers. He is also the most notorious ladies man in the Croyant society. Handsome, charismatic and a true lover of women, Felix has always been the "love `em and leave `em" type, until he realizes that his future may be held firmly in Sayblee Safipour's hands. For years, Sayblee has watched Felix work his way through the female population, both magical Croyant and non-magical Moyenne. She refuses to allow herself to think of him in any way other than as the lothario she knows him to be.

The Croyant Council has learned that Quain, one of the most powerful Croyant sorcerers in history, is gathering his followers in Paris in preparation for his newest attempt at world domination. Quain believes that he should be in charge of the world, with him in control of all Croyant and with the Moyenne being nothing more than slaves. The Council disagrees and orders Sayblee and Felix to live in Paris among the Moyenne without the benefit of their magical abilities in an effort to thwart Quain's plan. Both Felix and Sayblee have personal reasons for wanting to find Quain and to stop him from accomplishing his bid to rule the world. What horrible things did Quain do to cause Felix and Sayblee to be so determined to thwart his evil plan of conquest?

BELIEVE IN ME is a splendid romantic fantasy with characters impossible to resist. Although Felix may at first seem like the "pig" that Sayblee thinks him to be, he reveals such depth of character as to redeem himself and prove that he is true hero material. The characters created by Jessica Inclán are realistic enough for you to imagine them as your next-door neighbors. Their magical abilities just add to their mystique. The whole idea of this secret society living hidden within our own is intriguing and is an engaging background for the budding romance. I found myself laughing along with Sayblee when Felix said or did something funny and crying when things looked bleak. This romance touched my heart with the simple fact that underneath all the intrigue it still remained a true love story.

Jessica Inclán created the imaginative and amazing world of the Croyant de Trois in the first book of this trilogy, WHEN YOU BELIEVE. Inclán continued the magical odyssey in REASON TO BELIEVE, and concludes the tale with BELIEVE IN ME. I would encourage the reader to start with the first book in the series titled WHEN YOU BELIEVE. The vivid history and detailed character development in the first book serve to enrich, add insight and understanding to this already remarkable story.

I love the last book in the Croyant de Trois trilogy, BELIEVE IN ME. I was extremely sorry to reach the final page. Jessica Inclán has created a treasure with the magical Croyant world. I just hope that there will be more Croyant stories in the future. This wonderful book has earned a place on my keeper shelf along side the first two in the series. Do not miss this enchanting tale!

They live among us and look like ordinary people but the Croyant are powerful sorcerers who can walk through matter (teleport) and they are strong telepaths. They are able to weave spells and use their powers as weapons although they don't because the leadership's dearest wish is to come out of the closet to the Moyenne (non magical people) who have killed them throughout the ages. The leadership thinks the time is right to work with the Moyenne however Quain, the most powerful sorcerer of them all doesn't agree with the plan.

He sees a world where he is the leader, the Croyant are in control or enchanted into obeying him and the Moyenne their extendible slaves Sayblee Safipour and Felix Valasay go to France where Quain is gathering new members in his power in another attempt to take control of the Croyant leadership. Sayblee and Felix believe they have found him and walk into a trap. They both get separated for a while. Sayblee is under Quain's control and Felix will do whatever it takes to get her back but he doesn't know where she is or how to find her.

This is the third and final tale in Jessica Inclan's superb romantic fantasy. Felix was a lothario until he saw Sayblee with a lover's eye and knows that his roaming days are over. Sayblee fears she is just another notch in his belt when they realize that they love each other. They both are powerful sorcerers and have the power to do what must be done in the leadership's overall plan. The author has created great characters and a world so much like ours except that it has magic. An excellent worldbuilder, Ms Inclan has created a believable society hidden within a larger society.

This is one author who bothered to get her facts straight. The historical detail about life among the Comanches is correct. The hero and heroine act as you would expect of the times and their cultures. The gradual growth of their love is believable and you finish it satisfied that this could have really happened.

This is a great book even though Lauren has expressed a lot of dialouges but the difference in her dialouge than from most people are the fact that she explains more about the situation. I fell in love with this book and you would to. I guess that's why it's out of stock. But if you ever find this book you should read it.

A fiery-spirited beauty, Cat Douglas is sworn to support her ancient Scottish homeland against its savage enemies.

A once-illustrius knight, Rene Faurer is now despised as a traitor to the sacred cause of Robert the Bruce.

They meet in the great hall of a castle keep and surrender to a fated, forbidden passion...before Rene is forced to flee to France in exile - and into the arms of another woman.

...But Love Bound their Very Souls

From the heather-strewn hills of the Highlands and the glittering debauchery of the Parisian court, Cat and Rene find themselves pawns in a battle for a throne, two lovers divided by warring loyalties and a conspiracy of lies. But they can never forget the proise they have made, nor the desire that unites them. On the battlefield of the heart, Cat and Rene will fight for their future with love their blazon and their banner - tonight, tomorrow and forever!

Beloved honor, is one of my most favorite books. I know I have read it five times. Catriona Douglass is fiery, and passionate, and stubborn as hell. Rene Faurer is angry, and just as stubborn, grim and beautiful. He needs to be saved, and Cat, thinks she can do it. This book is full of Grand Passions, danger, and lies. Most of all its a love of innocents and you will love it. Plus you will want to read it over and over again.

Not her best book, by far, but an engaging read, this book rather harks back to one of her first books, Crimson Obsession. In Crimson Obsession, the hero was a self educated scoundrel who was bored with his career as a pornographer and gaming house keeper and wants to write Real Stories (like Charles Dickens). Yes, I know it is ridiculous but it's also quite fun. In this book the self educated, lower class hero mainly wants to stay out of jail. So he allows himself to be blackmailed into following the heroine as she seaches for her sister.

The heroine, who is living in genteel poverty, is pretty solidly middle class. Due to a misunderstanding about her father's income, she is not a virgin and not married. Her sister, who is younger and prettier, is missing under suspicous circumstances from her ownjob doing something genteel for a noble family. No one else is looking for her, mainly because they figure she has entered a brothel-- either voluntarily or involuntarily-- and, well, that pretty much is that. Being a prostitute, even an ex-prostitute does not look well on the social resume.

Anyway these two hook up with the hero using his low connections and the heroine using her high connections to look for her sister. There are some amusing nontraditional romance moments such as when it occurs to the reader that the hero could possibly be about 19. Then the heroine starts fretting about whether she has seduced an innocent-- Oh, no, oh, no. But there are also some hackneyed moments such as the heroine dressing up like a prostitute to search for the hero and wowing them at the local gin mill. The baroque family connections among the aristocracy also make for some over the top drama-- boy, is that villain villainous. Snidely whiplash move over.

This is a fun one if you don't take it too seriously.

Beloved Rogue is James' best offering. This is my idea of a great romance novel. It takes place in the underbelly of London and the plot parallels historical events. The atypical heroine, Maria, is aided by her love interest, Jocko, a young, former thief whose unlawful acts are not entirely in the past and not forgotten by the local constable. This constable blackmails Jocko into helping Maria. Maria's little sister has been kidnapped and is installed in a "house of ill-repute" frequented and owned by aristocrats. Sound typical? It's not. Throw in some spicy, three-dimensional characters from various levels of society, Maria's and Jocko's unique personalities and appearances and the facts within this story regarding white slavery in centuries ago London, which the author tells you more about...and you've got a highly entertaining romantic suspense novel unique among all others.

I came to this book through a garage sale. What a gem it is!!! I have read it many times, lost count, and I never tire of reading it! It's such a beautiful story, U can't help but fall in love with the hero and heroine. It is the first book about natives that I have read that doesn't have the same old storyline about the indian taking a white woman captive. In fact, Tonnewa rescues poor Susannah and wants to return her to her own people. But certain circumstances don't permit him and to save the white woman Susannah from death, he must take her as a wife. At first it is an union not of their choice but slowly, gradually they come to care for each other. I love this book, I only wish the author had kept on writing novells. Can't find any other books of her.

This book is so good

Three delightful stories. Patricia Bray's Charlotte's Kitten is wonderful. I laughed and cried. It's a 3 hanky that redeems you at the end with a warm feeling of love. Ghost is the great "secret" hero of the story. Charlotte is cherished the way everyone would want to be. This talented author pulled it all together to make a wonderful read! Halloween is over, but Charlotte's Kitten is timeless.

Wonderful.

The first story is titled SANCTUARY and is about a lady set on protecting the forest creatures within her property. When the new owner of the surrounding land comes with his friends for hunting, the protectress uses magic to call all the animals onto her land so the hunters have no game. The second tale is titled CHARLOTTE'S KITTEN. A lady becomes a widow when her husband falls from his mount while away with friends. A small gray kitten appears to care for widow and the mount. The last tale is LORD TREVOR'S TOMCAT and is about an ugly, black tomcat, adopted by Lord Trevor, who ends up leading a young lady to ruin.

***** Three Regency tales by authors Janice Bennett, Patricia Bray, and Cathleen Clare. Of course, since the novel came out in an October magic is involved in these romances. Wonderful! *****

This calendar is great for my mother, my husbands mother and father especially, because of their failing eyesight. They have macular degeneration and can see some if the pages are plain and the font is large and black.
they like this calendar very much. So I give them one every year.
they have enough space to write appointments with the large pen also.
Glad I found these.Big Letters Big Numbers
