Sheep Books

This book contains three short stories. Each story is fast-moving, exciting and holds a unique morale about friendship. The two Main Characters, a Lion and a Lamb, meet in the first story and become Friends, "Now and forever". This unlikely friendship leads to exciting adventures. Finally, the full-color illustrations are outstanding. This is definitely an excellent book to be enjoyed over and over again by young children.

Father John Powers came to our church St Ambrose in Deerfield Beach Florida and my mother got this book for my daughter who is 6 y/o and it is amazing. Father John Powers who is a Catholic Priest is an excellent story teller not just for children but for adults and is soooo powerful. I am thankful for Father John Powers adult tapes on Grace and Creativity wow just amazing to help me thru my own issues but the Maze of parenting to teach our children and in Father John's word A Maze ing

This book gave me some interesting facts about listening to God. It's made me more of a believer of God and better at praying.

This is the bed that helps her to go to bed at night. She loves to "read" by herself and even lets me read it to her too. She always asks for "Baa". The drawings are lovely, the story is sweet. My daughter is fascinated by the fact that little Baa nurses with his mommy too.

This charming little bedside companion will look cute on a nightstand as decoration. It may even help the occasional insomniac go to sleep. Keeping with the spirit of Running Press Miniature Editions, it is constructed with high quality. Like alot of their small books, it has colorful and kitchy illustrations that capture the subject matter well. It also has a sheep-in-a-circle charm attached to a fabric book marker. Unlike any other Miniature Edition I've seen, there are no words or story. It shows a progression of otherwise blank pages being filled, one-by-one, with sheep doing various activities. These cartoon sheep get repetitive after awhile, but maybe that's the point! This book rates high on cuteness, but don't expect it to do much else than have you count sheep. Will make a nice gift, also.

As with Flying Kites and the Magic Hat, this edition of the Teletubbies teaches a simple concept, in this case the emotions happy and sad. My toddler son Alex loves it and gives it two thumbs up! Maybe its the sound effects or maybe its the love and empathy that the teletubbies show to each other. I'll never know. What I do know is that it is one of the few books that he will actually sit and listen to being read and that deserves 5 stars in my book!

My pre-school sunday school class absolutely loves this book and NEVER tires of hearing the story. The pictures are colorful and fun, with plenty of action to engage even a shy child. The story is the familiar story of the shepherd who faithfully searches for a lost sheep. The kids love to fold out the book and point to different things described in the text.

I had to buy a second copy of this book - our first copy has seen a lot of use and enjoyment. A very charming children's version of a familiar parable. The pictures are absolutely adorable!

This is a very cute little book~ my daughter loved from 6 months on~ there is also a companion book "Little Kangaroo~I love you" that is adorable, too!

This book is a great way to teach your little one about the everlasting love that Jesus has for us... that He will always pursue us when we wander away from Him. He loves us so much and this book explains it in such a simple way... The GOOD Shepard. We are special to Him and He is always with us! Love it!
