I bought this for my daughter (age 2) because she loves the Lisa McCue bunny stories. This is such a beautiful and classic story. Lisa's illustrations are so real and details - you want to pick up the bunnies from the book and just hug them (as my daughter pretends to do). And since it is a board book - even better! Highly Recommended!

A wonderful treat for your toddler!

Any book with Lisa McCue's name as author or especially illustrator will be a winner with your little one. The bunnies are so winsome and adorable that this will become a favorite! The story is a classic and an easy to understand version for the younger child coupled with the wonderful illustrations, it will easily become a must read for you and your child!

Cool Little Book!

This is a great book for any Wallace and Gromit fan who has seen the "Were-rabbit" movie. The way this book was put together would make it a great reader for children in grades 3 or 4. One half of the book is Gromit's point of view of what happened through the movie. The other half of the book is Philip's side of the story. Book includes some black and white pictures throughout which would keep a child interested in the story. All in all well worth the money and a fun little addition to any Wallace and Gromit fan's collection. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Adorable, funny and well written

I love the Wallace and Gromit shorts and movie, and this book really made a fun read for me, an adult. The author uses scenes from the movie, "Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Wererabbit" to write the diaries, and I was laughing through the whole book. Gromit is contemplative and witty while Phillip is focused more on the physical, thinking about which person to bite next. The book reads fast, as it is a paperback with only 80 pages.

My K students enjoy this book and they always ask for an encore reading. There is a little mischief in the story, along with some suspense and good-heartedness. Also, there are lots of very cute illustrations. I highly recommend this book.

Beautiful illustrations and a short, simple story line . . .

A novel of two opposites struggling to get along

Welsh Rabbit is a novel of two opposites struggling to get along. A grizzled veteran cop stripped of his sergeant stripes for unauthorized pursuit, struggling to last two more years so he can collect his pension and retire, must train an unusual rookie - a middle-aged, married woman and former psychologist seeking the meaning of life through a career shift. The harsh pressures and sometimes deadly requirements of their mutual job to serve and protect place a strain on their partnership, but when lives hang in they balance there is little leeway or forgiveness for mutual abrasions. A compelling novel of learning polar opposites who must learn to surpass their personal differences.

Excellent . . . a winner

Excellent: Douglas Carstens formerly of Milwaukee has a winner in "Welsh Rabbit" (Carstens Press, $12.95). When longtime Milwaukee police officer John "Mad Dog" Maddocks finds himself saddled with a middle-age rookie partner-Betty "Boop" Moreland-the two soon find the answers to the question: can polar opposites learn to get along and even become friends?

A standoff with a suspect spirals into deadly force and the traumatic outcome leaves both officers' lives utterly changed. It's a story of an unlikely friendship coping with adversity.

It's rich with Milwaukee history and scenery. The characters are so real you'll want to reach out and touch them. It'll also make you appreciate the friends you have. For more information, see www.dougcarstens.com.

I have been searching all over for this book!! We had this book as kids, but my mother got rid of it during one of our many moves. I was sooo excited to find it that I got 3 copies (one for me and one for each of my sisters) I love the fact that this baby bunny wants to grow up to be a daddy. There aren't too many books these days that give kids good role models. Buy this book!! The artwork alone is worth it!

Richard is not the only notable Scarry!

This little golden book is a golden classic! The artwork was eyecandy to me as a child and I can't wait to introduce it to my 20 month old son! All through the book, bunny's family speculates as to what he will be when he grows up - will he be a fireman? a circus clown? a lion tamer? Only baby bunny knows and his choice is a heartwarmer. This is a particularly good one for daddy's and their little boys as bunny's true wish is to be a good daddy when he grows up. It's fun to give each family member a voice and it's hard not to get choked up at the end. I highly recommend this book for little ones from one to five!

Helping children develop self esteem
Helpful Votes: 3 out of 3 total.
Review Date: 2007-11-24
This is one of the feelings series of books by Tracey Maroney. They describe to small children what various feelings feel like and give examples of some things that might induce that feeling. Finally the book gives some ideas for what to do with the feelings. All feelings are dealt with as natural normal things that are OK and that everyone experiences. In the case of Anger, the text explains that feeling angry is OK, but letting our angry feelings hurt other people is not OK and some ways to handle the feelings constructively. At the conclusion of the book is a page of information for parents on how to help your child develop a healthy self esteem.
It might be tempting to acquire the titles relevant to an issue a child you know is experiencing, however I would urge people to buy the whole set, as all children need to understand the range of feelings covered for balance. This is a really excellent series giving an opportunity for discussion in a neutral context, rather than arising from an instance of inappropriate behaviour. Highly recommended - I bought for my nephews, but I'll also be buying these for my granny shelf.

A Very Valuable Resource for Anyone with a Special Needs Bunny

As a past owner of a special needs rabbit (my bun recently passed away), I know a lot of "wheel reinventing" happens to owners of disabled rabbits. This book covers important care topics to give your disabled or sick rabbit the best care possible early at the onset of the disability or illness.
I hope many will buy this book for themselves or other rabbit owners or vets. God Bless

This book was chosen by a six year old boy for our 12 month old son. Our little guy loves this book to the point that my husband, my father and I all got tired of reading and rereading it to him. The pages came undone from the constant use, so we had to tape them back into the book.

This book is a hit with our 22 month old daughter. She loves the simplicity of the story and can now, after having it read to her many times, repeat the words, or I should say word, on each page. We are purchasing more of this series.

Terror Trip to Wonderland
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2006-05-12
Charles ( A K A Lewis Carroll) needs a young Alice to be brought to him so that he can have peace. Alice's Uncle Roberto, who is obsessed with time, much like the white rabbit in alicein wonderland, takes young Alice on a trip to England, in order to deliver her to Charles.

This novel is quiet horror, and is eerie and atmospheric, rather than gory. The characters are well fleshed out. This author obviously did some research on the life of Lewis Carroll. This is a good blend of horror, romance, mystery, and a strong dose of characters who behave much like those in wonderland. Many people Alice sees on her trip talk in strange riddles, like those in alice in wonderland. This novel is a unique, hidden treasure, and was an enjoyable read. It was unique, as I have never read anything like it before.
