This book is a depressing but truthful way of telling what it is like for animals to live in captivety. So if your are ready for the truth I rcomend this book.

It's one of those "kid's" books...

That will change the way you look at everything forever.

I first noticed this book in kindergarten (mid-1990 to mid-991) when I was obsessed with ocelots. They were such a majestic animal to me back then when we were learning about the wild life around us. So when I saw this in the library at school, of course I checked it out. But you know what happened after that? My name filled up the check out card time and time again. I loved this book. The story and drawings meant a lot to me. It's the tale of an ocelot named Lancelot (...as you can see by the title) who was happy in the wilderness living his life as all other animals would. But then one day poachers came and took him away from everything. They put him in a small cage on a boat, which lead to very depressing illustrations. While it isn't anything graphic or disturbing...seeing what was once a happy creature have a frown on his face, trapped inside a tiny cage wasn't something you should see at such an early age. But in the end, Lancelot made it, and was happy once again. For a kid, this will make them see the truth about everything. That all animals aren't treated as nicely as those you have as pets. While your cat may be comfortable at home, there's another out there, getting abused or misguided in their life. Sure, I could be putting more meaning into "just" a kid's book, but it's there if you look at it and see the drawings for what they are.

Sadly, this book is out of print, and only for sale on auction sites, used book stores, and online ones like right here on Amazon's Used & New. And luckily, it isn't too expensive. The book had a beautiful hardcover- white on the top and bottom with Lancelot in the forest in the middle, staring at you with those eyes of intelligence and wonder. It's not a very long book, but I'm sure your children will enjoy it if they like animals at all. Get it when you have the chance. You won't regret it.

Art History and where it all is can be a full time study plus; when you add what Germany did during the War years it is even more daunting. He takes this and spins it very nicely!

You get caught up in the plot, and the added pieces of Art history that the Nazi leaders had confiscated. The ending is not what you expect will be the end for the Ocelot! Fun, interesting read!

Really intense political action thriller, and truly well written. Not the mess so many 'top sellers' seem to be with grammatical and language errors. Fun read; interesting take on things, and a great ending!

When I first saw this book I was very disappointed I thought it was going to be like a regular size book.Lucky for me I didn't spent that much money on this book.A Guide to Mexican Witchcraft is a small book that tells a short version of how Witchcraft originated in Mexico. It talks about Native Mexicans Converting from Paganism to Christianity and how they use Satan to influnce this.Besides that there was struggle among them to tell the difference between a curandero(healer)and a witch, that got alot of people punished for it.There are other topics in this book like Spiritist and Spiritualism,Sorcery and Magic Spells. I Let you decide if think this book is worth your time and money I have talked too much already.
