The Cheetah Girls Livin' Large: Book 1-4 [ Spoliers!!]Review Date: 2006-10-26
I'm a Cheetah Girls fan. This book is special. Because it tells different stories from each girl.
Wishing On A Star: You mostly get to know Galleria in this book. So yeah, this is mostly about Galleria with The Cheetah's, Chanel, and the weird guy, Derek with this sidekick, Macarol. Spelling this right??? But anyway, this book is funny and fun!
Shop In The Name Of Love: Chanel uses her mothers credit card and she visits her stepmothers salon. Her mother gets angry. But later lends Chanel the credit card for one thing. Chanel buys more like 20 different things. Then, she gets in big trouble and has to work at Toto in New York....Fun in Diva Sizes. [ Galleria's mothers shop.]This book is hip and hot!
Who's Bout To Bounce: This one's magical. It's amazing how Dorinda has so many brothers and sisters. She really loves them. Miss Bosco [ Her Foster Mom.] Has an adoption party. But, the twist is, for " reasons" she can't adopt her. It's a good book.
Hey, Ho Hollywood!: This is a great book. Angie and Aqua's dad's girlfriend Aballa Shalla whatever. But they [ Cheetah Girls] perform at the Apollo theater and they lose. But this book is sweet.
This is one sassy book! Buy this lovely book!
It's Awesome!
Thank you for taking your time to read my review!

One of a kind, wonderful bookReview Date: 2008-07-18
It's told from the point of view of an intelligent cheetah, born with a black pelt, and takes place in an alternate earth which, it seems, was ruled by an Egyptian culture. Kichebo's black fur makes it difficult for her to hunt and ambush, and draws the hostile attention of strange flying craft. An outcast among her own kind, Kichebo struggles to find a place for herself in her harsh world.
This is a very unique book that will stick in your memory, if you can manage to find a copy. If you like cheetahs or Egypt (or both) you will adore this novel. (I treasure my copy, even though it has very damaged covers - I found it at a used book store, lucky for me!)
Spellbinding!Review Date: 2008-04-10
I fuond this rare gem of a book when I was much younger and not too long ago I remembred this book and also the fact that I hadn't finished it.(It was a library book). That is what led me to buy it again and re-read it. Although I enjoyed finishing this book finally, as an adult I wouldn't reccomend this book for older audiences. Certain parts of the plot would leave older readers wanting if a past relationship wasn't already developed with this book. That being said. Young readers... Enjoy! This is a rarity.

Kichebo, a cheetah who's lucky to have survived past year one, is not like the rest of her kin. She is unique in the sense that she is black with gold tear lines, gold ear tips, and a gold tail tip, and that she is mentally different from her brethren. Shunned because of her differences, Kichebo is destined to find out that she is different in a way that she could never have fathomed. Through the guidance of Asu-Kheknemt, a long dead cheetah who protected and befriended Tutankhamen, a wise, grayed cheetah named Gray Cape, and the affectionate human child, Menk, Kichebo will soon discover what her place in the world is, and find herself.
I would highly reccomend this book to anyone who wants a fresh original fantasy read, you will not be dissapointed!!

Cats and Time Travel Just Seem to Go Together!Review Date: 2004-01-17
Clare Bell has a real love of the big cats, and provides an insightful look into the lives of these large hunters. Her depiction of the cheetah society does not try to over-anthropomorphize the cats into human beings. Although they communicate in a sentient manner and are provided with personality and purpose, their behaviors and lifestyles remain those of powerful semi-solitary predators. It makes for an interesting glimpse into how an intelligent society of cats might develop. Beyond this, Kichebo's story is one coming of age and discovery of self. The questions Kichebo most seeks an answer to are: "Why am I so different?" and "What is the meaning of my life?" Questions that are universal and easy to understand, if not easy to answer. Kichebo is destined to take her people in a new direction, one she never imagined. The time travel aspect of this book gives us a fascinating look into what might have been in the days of King Tutankhamen, and the reasons behind the young King's early death.
This book is written with young readers in mind, much of Kichebo's search for self and struggle to become who she is will echo with adolescents who are going through the same struggle. I read this book in my teens and have reread it several times since. I think adult readers will find the story lacks the kind of mature sophistication they might be used to in adult science fiction, but it fits the intended readership well. For those who enjoy this book, see if you can find Ratha's Creature, also by Clare Bell.
Happy Reading! Shanshad ^_^

Fresh approach to project negotiationsReview Date: 2007-01-19
Spock Would Love ThisReview Date: 2006-01-04
Spock, Sarek, Tapal and Tuvok would all agree, as would all Trekkies everywhere, that this book is the essence of logic. Its message is simple and clear and it is presented in a manner which is equally simple and clear. Although authors LaBrosse and Lanksy don't anywhere specifically say it in these words, after reading their little (169 pages) book, one is certainly left with the impression that there is little that is magic or hidden in the fine art of successful negotiations.
This book presents a comprehensive look at negotiating and is equally useful, whether you are entering negotiations on a multi-million dollar development contract, a pay raise with your boss, a difficult divorce, or your child's latest gift request list. How can it do that? By keeping things simple. The authors break negotiating down into four basic elements and then carefully walk you through each one of them, explaining it, showing you how to do it, providing tools, techniques and templates for you to use, giving you exercises to practice practical application, and throwing in some tips, hints and examples to guide you.
They begin at the beginning, a very good place to start. The first element is knowing who you are and knowing with whom you are negotiating. The authors present a very welcome and much overdue simplified explanation of the Myers-Briggs personality types. Finally, not only is Myers-Briggs understandable, but you can see its practical and useful application. Know your own personality type, know the other guy's or gal's personality type, and you will then have a pretty good idea about how your personalities will interact. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand that knowing in advance how the other side is likely to react gives you a bit of an edge. Add in some techniques for speed-reading the personality types with whom you're dealing and, therefore, how to best present certain issues to them so you can manage their reactions, and you begin to appreciate that this book presents some pretty powerful and useful techniques.
Next they turn to the heart of the matter: what do you want, what do the other guys/gals want, and how to get prepared for the actual negotiations. Naturally, it is not enough to simply know what you want, you must know what it is you absolutely cannot surrender. What is your GUAL (Get Up And Leave) point? What is your BATNA (Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement)? What is the ZOPA (Zone of Possible Agreement)? What is the impact of the importance of your relationship with the other party? All these are explored and explained. In addition, they also take you through preparing for negotiations, the importance of physical exercise, stretching and breathing, techniques for stress relief, roles to play during negotiations and when (e.g., good cop, bad cop), and even the physical aspects of the negotiating/meeting room environment.
The third element focuses on the actual negotiations themselves. The authors take you through and explain the five "scenes" that are common to every negotiation: planning, introduction, bargaining, agreement and closure. Project Management Professionals (PMPs) will easily and intuitively recognize and identify with these. This section of the book is probably the most tip-filled area, covering such techniques as when and how to use, and the impact of, permission-based questions, building commitment, consistency, reciprocation, social proof, authority, likeability, scarcity as well as handling and countermeasures for a whole array of other negotiation tactics (e.g., threats, insults, bluffing, intimidation, emotional appeals, lying, extreme demands, etc.). This is a very useful section all by itself.
The final element is putting it all together. It is here that money issues, and strategies for dealing with them, are addressed. Also covered is the importance of papering and codifying the agreement, including what must be included in the agreement as a minimum to make it binding and enforceable (sort of Introduction to Contracts 101). It closes with taking you through an entire negotiation process from start to finish, using all of the tools and techniques and templates that have been introduced in the book, and then does it again by allowing you to follow a sample or case study negotiation process applying all of the book's tools, techniques and templates.
It is rather amazing that the authors have been able to cram such a comprehensive overview of the negotiating process, as well as insights, tips, hints and templates, tools and techniques, into what is a relatively short book. The logic of the approach and presentation is impressive. All project management staff, whether negotiating contracts with suppliers, staff availability with functional authorities, scope and budget changes with sponsors, etc., would benefit from reading and applying the lessons learned from this book. Buy it and keep it handy in your library.

I was not disappointed. The photos in this Leopard book are entirely unique and often include extremely rare images.
The writers/film makers have experienced some amazing things over their years of filming but most of it isn't covered in the TV series. This book goes into a lot more detail of the lives of certain Leopards and you really become attached to them by name (can be sad when you discover one has died).
Spectacular photos and highly engaging stories make this a winner.

Neural Networks Made Easy . . .Review Date: 2004-04-18
Natalie Brecher's book is one of those "gems" that you find from time to time that is a quick read, but chock full of wisdom and insight. She has captured and made accessible the concept of synergy in a real Mastermind Team, and given us a step by step instruction manual to building our own team.
In clear language and forthright thought, Ms. Brecher gives us the 8 steps, the advantages for each step, and the pitfalls that await us if we are unaware. She eloquently makes the case for why we should even consider a Mastermind Team, then goes about helping us to know that we too can form such a team.
My Mastermind Team was formed in much the same way Ms. Brecher describes in her book. It has been an invaluable asset in my business. And in the spirit of full disclosure I must confess that Natalie is part of that Mastermind Team. What she has given to the readers of this excellent book is real, based in fact, and founded on experience. I highly recommend that you create a Mastermind Team and that your team read and understand what Natalie freely shares with you!

It's Raining Benjamins: It's Pucci's 9th birthday. Chanel's mother isn't sure if she wants Pucci to have his own pet. But anyway, she buys one. On Pucci's b-day, Chanel's mother is angry because Chanel did not have permission to get a pet. And, Pucci gets upset because his father bought him a math book. It's a cool story.

When Dorinda meets Tiffany, she finds out she is white. Dorinda also has a meltdown. But, at the end of the meet Tiffany says: " Can i have your phone number?" then " Can i have a hug?" then " I'm so glad i met you!" Dorinda tells her crew about her sis. They are cool with it. It's a neat story.
