One of the best book of free radicals andantioxidants in biological systems, last years.

I found the book an excelent resource for transport phenomenom, but found confusion in understanding some of the parts. However, the explanations were far better and more detailed than others I have seen

Dear colleague readers,
For more than a year now (since March 20, 2007) I have noticed that Amazon is sistematically refusing to ship books to Brazil, where some interesting developments have been happening in Sugarcane to Ethanol processes.
I do not know how to qualify this attitude, but something tells me that Amazon is engaged in some type of "non disclosure agreement" in order not to sell books to this country. I find this very anti-democratic.
I have obtained better prices and fast delivery from other sources.

This a great book that covers the growing area of biomineralization. The concepts and the processes of biomineralization are well explained. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about biomineralization.

The book presents the fundamentals of biophysical chemistry/physical biochemistry in a succinct manner. It is highly recommended for anyone starting out in the field, as well as those wishing to refresh on certain aspects of it.

This book is pure perfection, period. It is quite easy to understand for the novice analytical chemist. Dr. Wang simplifies very technical, difficult information -- into something easily comprehended by a person of average intelligence. I look forward to his next publication.

The book is so lucidly organized and illustrated that a low technology mind like mine easily handled it yet it's a far richer and more sophisticated look at ethanol production options, methods, feedstock economics, output economics, etc. than I've found anywhere. Anyone who wants to do something with ethanol should be forced to buy and devour this book before proceeding further (it'll save them years and millions of dollars in actually getting one done.)

Gross has a knack for finding unusual stories in biology, chemistry, and other scientific and technological subjects and writing about them in a funny, accessible manner. Living in an age of extraordinary change in the emerging fields of nanotechnology and biotechnology, it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the rapid developments in these areas, let alone relate them to our own lives. Gross manages to do just that--to take these topics and distill their deep connections with human experiences. I would highly recommend this book for a light-hearted, personal and highly informative journey to the frontiers of science.
