This is a really cute item. My daughter loves it and uses it to carry any book that she is reading. It's not meant to haul lots of items, but a couple of books with a notepad (Nancy Drew, of course) and a pen works really well.

For starters....the set includes the first two books of this classic and well loved series which makes it a perfect gift for any young reader ranging from ages 8 to 13 or so. They nest inside this super cute Nancy Drew book purse. I gave it as a gift this past holiday season to an 8-year-old relative and she went absolutely crazy over it, carrying it over her shoulder all evening. I also included a Nancy Drew journal and Nancy Drew Mad Libs which I purchased on here. This product is highly recomended to anyone looking for the perfect gift for the young, avid reader or lover of mystery series.

Something a little different for young Nancy Drew fans.

I purchased the Pocketbook Mysteries for my duaghter's birthday. She loved it. Not only did it include two Nancy Drew mysteries, but it also came in a very cute book style purse/carrier! A great present and value!
Lastly, we have not seen this item in our local bookstores...so it is definitely a unique item for your Nancy fan!

Ohhhhhhhhhh! It's so gorgeous!!

This is an ideal gift for the hardcore fan of Nancy Drew mystery stories. There are two of the old stand-by stories, The Hidden Staircase and The Secret of the Old Clock, featuring the wonderful pen and ink illustrations from Nancy's early days.

But, the piece de resistance is the wonderful tote-bag the books are packed in. Needless to say, they will make you the envy of any fashion-conscious reader of mysteries wherever you go.

This would be a good value for the bag, alone!

I always knew that Bess was going to have problems at some point with her weight but I really didn't know when. It was thoroughly suprising what she did in this book. Nancy tries out for a tv station and Micheal Giannelli also gets the job. You can tell that they wll have a rough time in the beginning and eventually fall in love. This brings real life issues of college life along with a thrilling mystery. I liked it alot.

Want Romance? Want Mystery? It's all here in the 23rd edition of Nancy Drew on Campus, Otherwise Engaged! It was a really good book because it was not only focused on romance but also mystery. Passions are running so high, that Nadia and Jake decide to get married just so Nadia can stay in the U.S. But Jake finds out that looks can be decieving. Meanwhile Nancy's quit her job at Wilder Times to work at TV station WWST. But she's found out that it's not all glamour and glitz especially with her co-host Michael Gianneli. And Stephanie has got a crazy plan to cement her bond with Jonathan.

Nadia is such a brat! Pretending to love Jake, when she was only tempted by him, and really had a husband back in Russia. What a fruit loop! Jake is left broken-hearted, and in pain. And Nancy feels bad for him, but you can tell it's not going to be a couple thing.

A real mystery!

Nadia is hiding something and Nancy knows it. But Nancy has better things to deal with. Like her co anchor person at the tv station. Cute, he's bossy and he has a ego the size of Lake Michian. Stephine is finding out the married life is all of what is made up to be. When Nancy heard that Jake is Nadia she isn't about to stand around. So she goes out on an investation and learns more about Nadia then anyone ever expected. But you will have to read the book to find out.

Very highly recommended!!

OTHERWISE ENGAGED, the January selection of The Personal Touch! miniseries is not to be missed. Cara Summers presents the story of Tyler Sheridan, who discovers through the personal ads that her groom will miss the wedding. When she seeks out a Private Detective to find her fiancé, Tyler meets just the wrong guy at just the right time. When these direct opposites meet, the chemical reaction is extraordinary!

Thy have nothing in common except passion. Tyler's a Boston socialite and president of her company. She hires Nick Romano to find her erstwhile fiancé. From the first glimpse of the sexy, hunky Nick, Tyler's hooked. In the six months she'd known Richard, she'd never known him to stir anything close to the reactions Nick produces instantly. Sheridans don't hit people and they never loose their temper. They certainly don't fall for PIs. But in Nick's company, Tyler finds herself behaving in strange and different ways.

From the moment Tyler shows him her grandmother's recommendation, Nick finds Tyler getting to him. He'd already had the electric and phone disconnected, his boxes are packed, and Nick is ready to pull up stakes, leaving the world of PIs behind for becoming a lawyer. Then Tyler sashays into his office, convincing him to accept the case. His instant attraction is only cooled by the need to find out what Richard is up to. When Nick realizes that the missing in a fake, a liar and a kidnapper, he becomes determined to find the truth about the missing fiancé. And while they are otherwise engaged, Nick and Tyler may find that their hearts have a mind of their own.

If not for the personal touch, these dynamic characters would never have met. Even the twist of the title provides a nice giggle with its play on words. Indeed, Cara Summers creates a humorous, highly entertaining contemporary romance with her delectable writing style. Very highly recommended.

My granddaughter is a real fan of Nancy Drew as was her mother when she was young. These older books are very well done and should not be confused with the ragged mess of political correctness currently being published as Nancy Drew. Stick to the older books.

Eighteen-year-old amateur detective, Nancy Drew, is thrilled to have the opportunity to put her own spin on a true century-old mystery involving a pair of lace cuffs, a Belgium man, and a priceless treasure that all disappeared without a trace. She instantly begins working hard on her entry, in an attempt to win the prize money that the magazine is offering. After all, while Nancy may not need the prize money, she is determined to win it to donate to a good cause that she has been following. However, after Nancy completes her short story, she discovers that her contest entry has disappeared. Nancy instantly knows that it hasn't simply been misplaced. She believes that it was stolen, and is set on finding the culprit. Before she can even begin searching for the person who stole her tale of mystery and intrigue, however, she learns that another contestant has entered a story identical to hers. Now Nancy knows that there is a real mystery here, that needs to be solved instantly. Enlisting the help of her best friends, and fellow detectives, Bess and George, the three girls head to Belgium, in search of the truth involving not only the century-old mystery that Nancy was writing about, but how it ties in with her short story. Now, as the three detectives begin entering dark tunnels, hidden rooms, and ghostly canals, they realize that there is something much more sinister going on. Someone is trying to keep something hidden, while others are attempting to steal priceless jewels, and items that have become beautiful heirlooms. But what intrigues the three sleuths even more than all that is the romantic mystery that is slowly becoming uncovered. One that illustrates how important love is, and how far people will go to be together - even when their families forbid it.

I have read very few NANCY DREW books, preferring to stick to the TRIXIE BELDEN series. However, when I stumbled upon Carolyn Keene's THE SECRET IN THE OLD LACE, I found that it looked too good to pass up. As a fan of international travel, magazine writing, and mystery, I found that this particular Nancy Drew installment was right up my alley. It contained all of the aspects that I am interested in, and combined them in a delightful way that truly brought the story to life, and made the reader feel as if they were right there, alongside Bess, Nancy, and George, as they visited museums, saw the sights of Belgium, and work to solve a mystery that was absolutely thrilling. Nancy is such an appealing character, whose bravery and determination is admirable; while her ability to overcome and challenge anything from ghosts to thieves is exciting. Her two best friends each bring a dash of pizzazz into the story, and make it even more intriguing. Keene has penned a novel that certainly stands the test of time, and really brings a bit of wholesomeness to a dying genre. A thrilling tale of suspense and international travel that keeps you reading long into the night!

I thought this book was cool. Nancy, Bess, and George go to Belgium to help a friend of Bess's mother. A lot of creepy, awful things happen. Nancy enters a mystery contest, but her manuscript gets stolen, someone tries to break in their house, and in Belgium lots of things happen, too. There are many suspicious people there, Ms. Marvin's friend's diamond pendant is stolen, there are lots of creepy trapdoors and passageways, even a ghost! I guarantee that you'll love this book if you read it.

I wish they would release more of the series like this. I would highly recomend the expierence to anyone who enjoys Nancy Drew.

What's more fun than a three day week-end at a ski-lodge? Nancy and her best pals Bess and George are there with Carson Drew for lessons and special winter fun. George even brought a gorgeous lucky charm that she wears around her neck on a ribbon for luck on the slopes!

Everyone is having a blast, but when things start going wrong, there are lots of suspects and clues for America's favorite girl detective to itemize in her trusty blue notebook! There are lots of pranks and dirty tricks, and George's beautiful necklace has gone missing!

Could it be the pesky identical twins who are trouble from the very start? Or could it be someone you won't suspect 'till Nancy solves the case of The Ski Slope at the very end of the trail?

Young readers looking for a thrilling story with an exciting setting will love this wonderful Carolyn Keene story. It's no mystery why her books are always at the top of the charts with her young fans!

Young readers will have fun at a sleepover party complete with pajama fashion show! What makes it more fun for the guests, is the addition of their oh-so-poopular dolls at the bash. The mystery begins when Hollywood disappears, and must be found before the next day to appear at a tea scheduled by the hostess' father.

Our Nancy is only eight years old, and her fans will enjoy seeing how she takes charge and works with others to unravel the mysteryof the missing doll.

They are funny, well written and perfect for her reading level (she reads at her grade level) I love that fact that she is getting an introduction to the Nancy Drew characters, as I loved this series when I was a girl and in a couple of years she can read all my old Nancy Drew books herself. I highly recommend this series.

When my English teacher told us that the class had to read a book and present an oral summary in class, I was a little apprehensive because I only read when I have to. So, for the literary-challenged she brought in some of her favorite books, one of which was Disappearing Acts. I started reading the book in class, and I couldn't put it down!! That afternoon I went straight to the bookstore and bought it and finished it that night. McMillian really has a talent of grasping the true characters, reaching into their souls, and telling the reader Franklin and Zora's story of dating, love, careers, and sex!! McMillian definately has the power of empathization down to a skill!! A must-buy-tear-jerker!!!

I love Nancy Drew books, and have read many of them. If you want to read a book that is exciting and will keep you interested, this is the one to get. It discusses some modern trends and is very easy to relate to. Just Beware: once you start reading you won't be able to put the book down! Happy Reading!
