Bad Times, Big Crimes is not only a Nancy Drew mystery, but a "time-travel" one at that!

Nancy falls asleep during a lecture with friend, Ned. She wakes up to find they're in the 1030's, and there's not only a mystery, but the Great Depression to deal with.

This book will be a surprise for regular Nancy Drew readers. As usual, there is a little something to learn. This time, about history.

Interesting Premise but needed more work

Not as good as some of the other Carolyn Keene books, but a nice read. Gives some great background on the Depression. Too much emphasis on Nancy's lack of remembering where (or should I say when) she is though and not enough on the mystery at hand until shortly before the end.

Fabulous

This book i thought was not going to be that good, but was i wrong. Nancy falls asleep during a lecture. When she wakes up she is suddenly in the Great Deppresion. I think that spending the money is totally worth it. I won't spoil the fun but, once the mystery is over, there will be a unsolved mystery that you'll never forget!

This is a very good book, and I did like it a lot. Nancy and Ned is going on a holiday trying to make their relationship work again. But they have to fight with not only their own problems but mysterious pirates who steals yachts. Those pirates are leaving the people on the boats in the lifeboats with a good supply of food and water. Very wierd! The mystery doesn't come to it's end until the last pages. Read it! The problems between Nancy and Ned are also coming to a solution.

Filled with suspense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was about Nancy and Ned in the carribeans. There is a pirate gang around that steals people's ships and wierdly they pierce people's ears. The whole process is very efficiently done. The gang is very polite, they leave food and water for the victims. While this is happening, there is also a lot of tension between Nancy and Ned. Wanna know the rest? Sorry, I can't tell you! Read the book and find out!

NANCY VISITS A TROPICAL PARADISE AND FINDS HIGH CRIME ON THE HIGH SEAS
Nancy's in Belize, on the Caribbean coast of Central America, to visit Ned on holiday - a perfect opportunity for romance. But perhaps not with each other! While tensions rise between Nancy and Ned, a different and more pressing kind of threat approaches from offshore - a gang of pirates hijacking millon-dolar yachts.
Nancy's never heard of a more bizarre band of buccaneers. Setting the yacht owners adrift in fully stocked lifeboats, they also pierce the right ears of the men aboard and insert a gold earring. The pirates may not be as polite as they seem, though, as Nancy soon discovers. For not only is her relationship with Ned at risk - so is her life!

I have to say, I grew up reading the previous set of Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Supermystery books, and I loved those...I picked up this new set hoping that it would carry that same intrigue and slight romance that they used to. I was rather disappointed with the first book in this series, but I feel that this one was a hit. I am too old to be reading these books, but it was great to read something that took me back. I would recommend this to young girls who love a good mystery.

Totally AWESOME!!!!!!

I really liked this second book in the Super Mystery series, it had an awesome setting and a great mystery. I thought it was just as exciting and fun as the first book. In this one I also like First Person views and the great descriptions of all the characters. I also think all of these newer series of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys are great!

i'll say it again, by now you know me, but i can't stand that name, because the mitch i know almost exactly like that, blonde hair,(probably streaked)glasses,(about to be contacts), and of course dreamy eyes, not to mention 5'10" height, yes girls he plays football, and basketball, oh by the way, he has a girlfriend,he says. anyway i really glad the mitch in the story got his comeupance in the end. oh i borrowed this whole series at the same time, all 30ish books, and read them in about 7 days, yes it's me the amazingly fast reader, check out a review for harry potter 5 and you'll know what i mean, so in conclusion, this series is perfict for those of you who:like just enough romance, a little bit of mystery, and of course are nancy drew fans through and through! now i have to blow, but i'll be back, peace out and god bless! p.s. i'm really, positively, thirteen, but i still don't have an email address, trust me when i do, you'll know, lol.

This book follows the lives of four different girls and their boyfriend. And there is at least one girl that you can relate with. Wheter it's Anne, the beautiful and seemingly perfect one who has to deal with giving her baby up for adoption, or Kip who has to change herself in order to be with the guy she loves, or Emily who's parents are splitting up and has to face the reality of not having anywhere to live, or Beth Rose who wants her boyfriend to want her all the tim, not just some of the time. This book is a very nice young adult romance and I reccomend you read it

Nancy Drew, Ned, and Bess are off on a tropical adventure to Sugar Moon Plantation on St Anne island. Sugar Moon Plantation is an old house from the 1800s, that Nancy and the gang have come to help turn into a stylish hotel. But when they get there, they relise that this mysterious house holds much more than run down furniture; It holds a mystery from the past.
The sun is above them, the sea is below them, and mystery is dead ahead. Old love notes, an emerald necklace, and shady charecters, all rolled up into one fantastic mystery! Read The Legend of the Emerald Lady for a tropical thrill.
I enjoyed this book very much. I love reading and writing. Please check out my other reviews!

A mystery filled with intrigue . . . feathers found at the scene of a crime that could belong to two different suspects . . . snorkelers surrounded by barracuda . . Nancy receiving salads laced with poisonous fruit . . . and two "antsy" disasters! This book will keep you excited and on the edge of your seat.
