I started reading the Nancy Drew Series when I was 5. The book Ringmasters Secret was one of my faves because I liked how Nancy's aunt bought Nancy a replica of the horse charm bracelet, that belonged to Lola (, Lolita's mother,) and was supposed to be handed down to Lolita; but Kroon took away the original 100% gold bracelet, and sold it to a jewelry store.

This book is a very interesting story. It is a combination of realty and fantasy. Some people can really relate to this book.
I enjoyed this book very much because it was so different from all the other books I have read. I also read this book because it was a real eye catching mystery.
My favoriate character was Nancy Drew because she was the main detective. She had solved many mysteries and was kind and extremly modest.
The best part of the book was when Nancy joined the circus. The reason why it was my the best part was because she had only been stunt riding for a little time and she was doing a wonderful job in the circus.
The ending was ironic because you would never thought that the two characters would ever meet again.

One of the better ones in the series

This book is a definite standout when I think of the Nancy Drew books as a whole. It has an intricate, delicately handled plot and the indispensable element of suspense.

It tells the story of a girl, searching for her relations against the will of an evil man, who is also the ringmaster of a circus. It is very, very good among its more ordinary siblings . . . as I said before, a definite standout.

This review concerns the original 1953 edition as well as the revised 1974 edition. Both books tell a similar story. Nancy is given a horse charm bracelet as a gift; however, one of the charms is missing. There is also a story connected with the bracelet that says that it was presented to a circus performer by a queen who loved horses. The circus performer later had to reluctantly sell the bracelet, but refused to give her true identity and she is in desperate need of help. Later, Nancy goes to the circus and meets a young girl, Lolita, who has a horse charm similar to the ones on Nancy's bracelet. The girl's parents were trapeze artists, but died many years before and she is now being raised by the cruel ringmaster of the circus and his wife. Many people in the circus believe that Lolita's mother may actually still be alive. Nancy is determined to find the truth and hopefully free Lolita from her cruel guardians. Most of this book is pretty good, the mystery is rather interesting and there is quite a bit of action. However, the ending of the book is not good. Everything happens much to quickly, there is little action and it takes all of one sentence for the criminals to be captured. For the most part this is a good book, it just has a bad ending.

Kidnapping, burgalars, injuries and puzzels. If you like mystery stories, you'll love Nancy Drew The Ringmaster's Secret. It's about three friends trying to help out a trappez girl named Lolita. Lolita was kidnapped and raised by a grumpy man named Kroon. When she found out she was kidnapped, Kroon would not let her escape. Everyone was afraid of him because of his violence. Finally Nancy and her freinds agreed to help her. She did not know at the time that she was not only putting her self in danger, but her friends too. One incident was when Nancy and George were tied up and put on a train headed toward Canada. Another one was when Nancy was stanggeled with a black rope. Kroon knew they were on to him. So he kept planning plots to get them off his track. No matter how bad it was. But Nancy drew out smarted him by contacting Lolita's real parents. Her father was dead, but her mother was still alive. Her name was Lola Flanders. Nancy also contacted the police and told them to meet her there the same time Lola Flanders would. When everyone arrived, Kroon made a run for it. Into the woods he went. Nancy ran after him on a horse named star. She would do trick riding bare back on him. That's when one of Kroon's friends threw a rock, hit her in the head and Knocked her unconscious. Anyways, as Nancy dashed through the forest, the police made a road block on the other side. To find out what happens, read the book The Ringmaster's Secret. Trust me, the ending is really well fitted. I really liked the book because mystery stories are my thing. Also, I love it when I am kept on the egde of my seat. You never know whats going to happen next. And when you get to a really suspensful part, you can't stop reading. I think the Author did a great job of writting the book. She must have really been into mystery stories too, or she wouldn't of written it. If I were to grow up and be a writer, these would be the exact kind of books I would write. Mystery stories. I don't like those other books. lLike the mushy love stuff. Or an every day life. I could'nt handle it.

If you're a fan of Mad Libs, the hilarious word game that produces the craziest stories in the world, and you're also a fan of Nancy Drew, this new game will be your dream come true!

Just fill in the blanks as the reader calls out -- nouns, verbs, name of a person in the room, etc. A great feature of this game is that there is also a way for you to play it by yourself. So, Nancy Drew Mad Libs is a wonderful game to have at home on a rainy day.

Great to play in the car, at sleepovers or just with the family, participants will find that they have produced a story about Nancy and her regular crew of friends -- saying and doing things in a way that would really surprise Carolyn Keene!

There is not really anything else to say except it is a Mad Libs. The ones we loved as kids with a twist...they are focused on the characters of the Nancy Drew mystery series. My daughter loves it. She really likes how they are centered around Nancy, Ned, etc...

If you (or a loved one) are into Nancy Drew..this is a great little gift.

I really enjoyed this book! Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys are both in Paris (of course, by chance). Nancy is there to help a rock star solve a mystery, while Frank and Joe are there to go to an art convention. The parties meet at the airport. The plot was great, though one thing has always really annoyed me about the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books. The author portrays the characters Nancy, Frank, Joe, and their parents as perfect, which is ridiculous and immpossible. Luckily, this book proved me a bit wrong, because Frank and Joe trust someone, an old foe, when they shouldn't...

The Paris Connection was a fabulous story. It was definitely one of the best Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mysteries. It was probably one of the more difficult books in figuring out who the bad guy was. I liked how this time there was two separate mysteries instead of one intertwined one. Sometimes they try too hard to make the mysteries intertwined and it does not work out as well and in this case having two separate mysteries worked out perfectly. They both had to deal with the Rock Star's tour but they had two different culprits. I think that the bad guy was also pretty hard to figure out and I had no idea who it was until the very end. It is always nice to have a surprise at the end of a good book! I recommend this if you like Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys!

I'm a collector of Nancy Drew mysteries and this is one of my favorites. The idea of the grieving royal family burying their dead child's favorite toys in a lake is a sad and intriguing plot and the circumstances under which Nancy solves the case make for a great read. I love the original ND series, but even I think that some of them are better than others, and this is one of the better ones.

Nancy, Bess and George are invited by Aunt Eloise to stay at a cabin on Mirror Bay near Cooperstown, N.Y. where there have been recent sightings of a woman gliding on the water of the bay. Nancy sets out to investigate the mysterious woman, but soon is faced with numerous other mysteries, including a vacation scam perpetrated by a woman who bears a resemblance to Nancy; the search for an old carriage, sealed in a box and sunk in the bay many years ago; and a strange green-glowing wizard that lives on a nearby mountain. This wasn't a bad book and it is easily one of the better books from #35 up (most of which are garbage). Nancy has many mysteries to solve and they are fairly interesting. The book has a not bad amount of action and it isn't as poorly written as some of the other books put out at that time. One thing that I didn't care for with this book, was that Nancy resembled the woman involved in the vacation scam. This is a tired plot device that has been featured more than once in this series. Generally, I did enjoy this book; it wasn't one of the most exciting books I've ever read, but I would recommend reading it.

Nancy goes to look into 1 thing and finds another.

It is the book that began my intrest in the series. I highly recommend it to anyone and I hope they enjoy it as much as I have.

This is definitely the best book in the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys series... :) Don't listen to anybody if they say it stunk, becuz it is really good! It has alot of Nancy/Frank stuff, and has TONS of action... I don't think you could get any more action in a book. I have read this book 4 times, and I still don't get tired of reading it! :) The thing that makes it really good is the close calls... and this book has ALOT of them! If you like a very suspenseful book, this is the one for you.

Betrayed By Love

This book is about an attempted murder. Nancy Drew, a detective, is going to her friend's, Angela's, wedding.Angela is a fashion designer and a very rich girl, although she is only eighteen. When she turns twenty-one, she will inherit a huge fortune. Her father died and after that, her mother remarried to his business partner, Howard. Nancy soon discovers that someone is trying to harm Angela. Rafe, Angela's husband-to-be, has an old girlfriend who still loves him. Suddenly, rumors and hints of scandal are heard among everyone. Angela becomes upset and decides to call off the wedding, believing that Rafe still loves Shanon. But this mystery deepens when Shanon's body is found laying on the pier! Someone has attempted in murdering her! Nancy soon discovers that Angela not Shanon, war who the culprit really wanted to murder! But who would do such a terrible deed and why? Well you're going to have to read this book to find out!

I thought this book was great because it has a fabulous plot and the ending was terrific. The author used descriptive words so that each scene was playing along in my mind.

This is one of my favorite quotes: At the sight of her, Howard staggered backward and sank into the nearest chair. "Angela," he whispered tensely. This quote is on page 93. This is another one of my favorite quotes from this book: "On a moonless night, it would be impossible to tell them apart. What if that's what happened? What if whoever attacked her made a mistake, and it was Angela, not Shanon, who was supposed to be the victim?" This quote is on page 104. I like these quotes because they are a very important clue to the story.

My favorite part of this book was when Nancy realized that the victim to attempted murder wasn't Shanon, but Angela. I liked this part because it gave me a whole new perspective to the story. The author made it sound like Shanon was the culprit in trying to harm Angela, but now that she was the victim to the murder attempt, she couldn't have been the culprit.

A great book with a lot of SUSPENSE!!

The book Betrayed by Love is an excellent thriller with an unexpeted twist. You have no idea who is the culprit with a heart of ice. At first you have good reason to believe that Rapheal's, Angela's fiance, ex, Shanon, is behind the harrassment and atempted murder due to jelousy. But when confronted, she genuonly has no idea what her bloved last boyfriend, Angela Chamberman, Ned Nickerson, Nancy's boyfriend, and Nancy Drew are referring to. Next possible culprit? it appears as if Shanon's new boyfriend wanted her to love him more than Rafe. Glenn Mcinnes is treated like human-garbage by Shannon and still adores her! Mr. McInnes seems like a pretty innocent guy. Or is he? At the denoumont, the most suspensful time of the novel, a peculiar twist occurs and you are at the edge of your seat. You say,"Yeah, right!"? How about when she knocks the bad guy/girl unconcious and when he/she awakens they drive the automobile off of the cliff? Pretty thrilling isn't it? Yeah, overall I'd call this a page-turner, like all the Nancy Drew mysteries. Keene is such a splendid author.

This book is a series of ghost stories. The stories are all about some animal/human that dies and haunts whoever killed him or her. My personal favorite was The Ghost of Whispering Oaks. This story is about dogs that had a good life. Then everything went bad when the owners died over time. Later the dogs died over not having enough water or of hunger. Now they haunt anyone that comes near the barn even the new owners.

I thought that this book was good and bad. It was good because it always kept me on the edge of my seat. That always makes me want to keep reading .Another reason I like that story is because it gave me goose bumps. One bad thing was that I didn't like was that the stories ended abruptly. I really like endings that have meaning. I think that you will like this book is you like ghost stories.

I think this is a great book and should be read by every mystery fan. When the rock star was found missing before the concert, Roger told Nancy that he wouldn't leave before this concert because he been waiting for it for a long time. Nancy went right on the case and the next thing she knew she was being knocked out! My favorite part was near the end when Nancy figured out where Bess, and Bart?, were being held. Of course if you want to find out where YOU'RE going to have to read the book.

It will make you think twice about the music industry.

This Nancy Drew case was a trip to New York to see a rock group,Bent Fender, live in concert. On this trip Nancy takes along George, Bess and Alan (Alan is Bess boyfriend) all four are BIG fans. Some of them are more than others. Just before the gang gets to see Bent Fender perform the groups lead guitarist Barton disappears. The strangest thing is the whole reason the group is performing is because of the fundraiser Barton put together. Why would he disappear just before a charity he put together? Was it a set up? Theres only one way to find out, read this book. You will learn so many new things about the music business that you never knew before. I learned that stardom will make anyone go crazy and it will change them. I also now know that pirating is a major crime that any recording artist can commit (and eventually get caught). On the other hand I also picked up that musicians have just as hard a life as any ordinary person. It's tough being famous. At times I think they have more problems then the people I know do. It is a good book about musicians and friendships.

When Nancy gets backstage tickets for her and her friends to meet Bent Fender, she's delighted. But minutes before the concert the lead guitarist, Barton Novak, goes missing. Now Nancy's trying to find him. She's still trying to patch things up with Ned after her last case, and her father may be involved with a suspect. Things get more serious when Bess disappears, and Nancy suspects Alan, Bess's boyfriend, of being involved with the kidnappers. Nancy's been warned to stay off the case, but she's going to find Bess and Barton, no matter what. Another classic Nancy Drew!

An interesting little book focusing on Nancy's jealousy when she suspects that Ned is in love with a cheerleader from his Basketball Team. The cheerleader goes missing, and Nancy has to track her down, all the while wondering if this will bring them back together... It kept me hanging on to every word :)

Nancy's in Chicago to cheer the Emerson College basketball team and Ned, her longtime boyfriend. But she can't believe her eyes. Has Ned saved his slickest moves for after the game? Is he really making a pass at a cheerleader named Denise Mason? I won't tell ya.
But the mystery takes an even more serious twist when Denise is kidnapped and Nancy is afraid if she solves the case she will bring them back together and lose Ned altogether. Does she? You'll just have to read the book to find out.

EXCITING!
