Things are looking pretty strange in River Heights. Even Nancy Drew's chocolate lab seems to be involved in the case.
Somebody wants people to think that the park is haunted! Or might it really be haunted? Nancy sure doesn't think so, but the evidence seems to be piling up. And, without a good list of suspects to put in her trusty blue notebook, it seems like The Secret in the Spooky Woods might never be solved.
There's a classmate who likes to scare girls. There's a ranger who might not really like kids around. And there seems to be no answer in sight for Amrica's favorite girl detective.
No matter how spooky it looks, Nancy will be able to figure it all out before the last page is turned.
The Secret in the Spooky Woods is a great read for fans of Carolyn Keene's mysteries, and highly recommended.

...The Secret Lost at Sea, by Carolyn Keene, is about an eighteen year old girl, named Nancy. Nancy goes to Bridgehaven Seaport
to investigate a mystery. During her stay there, scary and dangerous things happen to her. Once, she even fell off a whaling
ship and almost got killed! Who is guilty? How did she fall off? I recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, suspense,
and adventure. I liked this book because it has a breathtaking theme, and once you start reading it, you can't put it down
until you are finished. I think the author's message was to never give up, no matter how difficult what you are doing is.
Sink into this book, you'll enjoy it. To unearth what happens to Nancy, you have to read the book!

Nice overview of the Syndicate's mystery series

"The Secret of the Stratemeyer Syndicate" starts with a good, if brief, overview of the Stratemeyer Syndicate and its founder,
Edward Stratemeyer.
It then moves on to examine in detail four mystery series created by the Syndicate: Ruth Fielding, the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and the Happy Hollisters.
Of the four, the Ruth Fielding chapter is the most detailed but all contain valuable information on their respective series.
There are a few minor factual errors, such as the author's claim that Edward wrote the early Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books, among other minor gaffs.
Despite this, this book remains a valuable resource to researchers of the Syndicate and is a good read for fans of the series mentioned.

All though i haven't read the whole book, i read enough to tell me that this is one of the best files of nancy drew! there's
suicide, Murder, action, and a whole lot of strong bonding between nancy and her father. it really shows how much they are
close to each other.
NAncy almost gets killed a couple of times. Unfortunelty my copy got lost before i could finish reading it! so i can't help at the ending!
