This is a very readable and helpful book for the real world. I have read many books concerning this topic and this is by far the best of the lot. Many real life examples. Thank you Dr. Zgourides for writing this book.

Shows examples of just about every possible scenario with just about any type of person one may encounter some type of conflict (employer, neighbor, co-worker, relatives, salepersons etc.). Also has degrees of conflict; from minor annoyances to stand offs with options for each one and examples of likely outcomes based on approach used. Be prepared for these type of situations and you will have more confidence and be more respected by those around you! Bring it on baby, I'm ready to counterpunch with timed and precise strikes at any opponent!!!

This book is as good as anything by Wayne Dyer or Albert Ellis.
The fact that the author is a Christian (but not a wimp) makes it all the more appealing.

I loved this book, and highly recommend it. Easy short stories to read. They say there a million ways to the top, this book will help you decide on what WILL work for you in sharing the way to brilliant compensation.

Hello the book DREAM ACHIEVERS is good for anyone no matter whether they are in network marketing or just trying to make their singing career take off.This is a very inspirational book and I suggest that anyone buy and read this book for their own personal inspiration. Dream Achievers is for the veteran Network Marketer that wants to be able to enlighten the most uniformed skeptic as well as challenge the brand new representative. After reading the 50 short stories two or three times, I began taking the book with me on appointments. I have highlighted key sentences in most of the stories that I wanted to have prospects read. Then I put tabs on those pages with words such as: "Teens"; $200K - 1st Year; or $100K per month on the labels. This book helps eliminate the first half of the objection - Network Marketing Doesn't Work because you have 50 stories to prove otherwise, the other half of the objection, I don't have confidence in myself to do this is between you and the prospect to overcome. If you purchase this book to only set on your coffee table and read a key story when you might be feeling sorry for yourself, it is worth every penny. But it is better shared than stored. Every serious marketer needs this book!

This book is beautifully written and very concisely done. It is easy enough to read in one session with exercises in the back of the book. If there is something you wish to change in your life in order to become more happy, pick up this book and get busy.

I have read A Dream Is a Wish The Heart Makes. It is well written and I was unable to put it down. This book is a great source for winning, being, having YOUR life as well as enhancing the lives of others. I so far have bought 9 copies and have given them to my friends and family. If you have a ceiling to break through to get what you want out of life, this book will show you how in a very quick and simple way. I highly recommend this book for everyone to read and re-read. It will truly enhance your life!!!

This book is very well written and in spite of the constant heart breaks and gypsy-like life style of the parents, who cast their children into a world of constant uncertainty and slight borderline running from the law, the children are a delight! They are smart and just full of life. They love their parents! They admire their parents. This is definitely a story that needed to be told. I was not thrilled with my childhood. After reading this, I realize that my childhood could have been worse. The good thing is, children do not realize how irresponsible their parents can be when they are drunks, or selfish beyond comprehension. However, any adult in his or her right mind cannot help but notice that this book is an unbelievable story of how selfish, incompetent, pathetic and pitiful parents can be when they are EXTREMELY irresponsible toward their children. These children were loved; they were not cared for properly, but very haphazardly! The writing is superb! The story is poignant and the book is hard to put down. In some way, I think every child can relate to parents hoodwinking them in certain aspects, even if they do not realize that until they are adults. But these parents hoodwinked these kids for a long time. In the end, all things are what they are (I won't discuss the end). Our bodies and minds can live through all kinds of things, we are far more resilient than we can ever believe we are. This book is a triumph for each of the sibling in the book, although it was written through the voice of one particular sibling. A really good read!

EXCELLENT BOOK Our book club chose this one. It's a real page turner, a true story about a disfunctional family. This one's a keeper!

"Jen's upset about something." my co-worker said about our receptionist. I looked up from my paperwork and replied "How can you tell that just by how she walks down the hallway? " "I don't know. I just can. Can't everyone?

Actually, no. Only one in twenty of us are empaths - those of us who "identify with and understand another's situation, feelings, and motives" (American Heritage dictionary). If you are someone with those gifts, this audiobook is well worth the time invested in listening to it.

Rose Rosetree, teacher, author and yes, empath has written and recorded a very unique guide for those of us with these wonderful skills in "Empowered by Empathy". Not only does she explain the various forms of empathic knowing (emotional oneness, intellectual shapeshifting, etc.) but she goes on to offer a variety of techniques specifically designed to assist in working with these gifts rather than being hindered by them.

My co-worker, mentioned above, is exquisitely attuned to what others are feeling. Yet, she's had to all but turn that ability off in order to stay afloat emotionally. Because of her centered and calm demeanor, others are drawn to her and she often finds herself drowning in their "stuff". If you've been there, as I have, you know it's not a fun place to be. Rose teaches skills that will show you how to turn down the empathy dial so you can still be present for others but take care of yourself at the same time. She also gives you real life examples to clarify her points and shares her answers to questions the reader might have (based on her years of working with empaths).

The six cd set runs a bit over seven hours and is great to listen to in the car. Rosetree's voice carries her clear and positive intent as a teacher of this wonderful work. I listened on my way to work and felt uplifted by the twinkly energy in her voice. I read the book a couple years ago but listening to it allowed me to catch things I missed by reading and also jogged my mind about techniques that were relevant to my own inner work. One of the things I like most about all of Rose's books is her ability to speak to different levels of the audience without losing anyone by being too technical nor boring anyone by being too basic.

A wonderful adjunct to the printed book, "Empowered by Empathy" audiobook is a good way to learn how to fine tune your empathic skills and have a little fun with it.

The content is so innovative and helpful, and I loved the voices. Rosetree's especially packed a punch for me. To have such a powerful empath read these words made them penetrate deeply into my consciousness. Dorothy Donham puts a heart, face, and family to an issue many women face in society. We stand afar and can only wonder at what they must be going through. Dorothy gives you her personal journal of her accounts that is sure to soar to new hieghts. A very wonderful write from a blessed woman.

The author bears her soul through a collection of journal entries to expose infertility on a personal basis. Have a full box of Kleenex on hand when you read this book, especially the final pages!

I have a copy of Ms. Donham's new book, Empty Arms..., and I found it to be quite refreshing. It was so nice to find a realistic perspective of the unexpected pain that infertility can cause. I appreciated the invitation to read Ms. Donham's journal and quietly follow her through the up's and down's of her journey. I laughed, cried, and celebrated her joy when she finally received her miracles! I would highly recommend this book to all who are dealing with infertility. I found a new hope by reading this book. I know that I can look at my own situation differently now and I look forward to the time when I too can celebrate my long-awaited child.

This is an excellent book for the military family. It is chalked full of practical advice and activities that a military family can engage in during the many stages of deployment. If you are or know a military family this book will undoubtedly offer them more nuts and bolts strategies for getting through a deployment. Serving my second tour as a chaplain I submit these activities can help the military family endure.

What a super book!! This was SO helpful to me and my family. It is very easy to read yet full of practical and important information that you might not ever think of. A lifesaver!

This book is a MUST BUY for any military family - especially those who have a family member deployed. Clearly the author has "been there, done that". Her honest, simple style and her willingness to use her own personal experiences make this book very readable and very credible. It's organized in a way you can read the book in one sitting OR you can go straight to the subject matter of personal interest to you. I'm buying it for every person I know with a family member in the military forces - what a perfect holiday gift.

Equal or Greater Force is a very good book regarding survival and self-sufficiency. I was not sure just what it would cover when I purchased it, but the subtitle A Delta Force Veteran Teaches You How to Survive Crime, Terrorism, Natural Disasters, and Other Calamities seemed to fit well with my studies and teachings. I was not disappointed in the least. I enjoyed the book and added to my knowledge on survival and self-defense.

Cessna's number-one rule for survival is that nobody has as much of a vested interest in keeping you alive as you do. Therefore, the party primarily responsible for your continued existence is you. I don't know how many times I have taught people this same message. I couldn't agree with Cessna more.

This book deals primarily with the attitude and mind-set necessary to survive a violent attack. When it comes down to it, a person's attitude and mind-set are much more important than the physical skills practiced. I'm glad Cessna added this book to the books on self-defense and survival, because I do not think anyone can be too prepared when it comes to mind-set and attitude. You must possess the drive to survive, and that is just what Cessna wrote about in this book.

The stories Cessna uses to illustrate his points are right on and his teachings on how to develop a stay-alive mind-set are invaluable. I also enjoy quotes, and Cessna peppers this book with many quotes that will help you remember important points. While the book is not a book of self-defense techniques, Cessna does include a chapter on weapons that are available. I agree with him that the best weapon to have when defending yourself from an attacker is your ability to think. He also briefly discusses weapons such as chemical sprays, bats, firearms and knives as well as martial arts in general.

This is an excellent book on the topic of mind-set for self-defense. Cessna ends by saying that no one can see the future, we can only try and be ready for it when it comes. I sincerely hope you never have to face any of the violent things Cessna wrote about. But if you do, having read this book, Cessna's advice may just be what enables you to survive.
