Mother's Day Books

This book was read to us at my 4 year olds preschool class for a mother's day tea. The illustrations are great and Ivy and Hacket are very real characters. After making a giant mess in the kitchen, they take breakfast in bed up to their mother. After the predictable accident takes place, mother saves the day by making a "Mother's Day Sandwich." The children and you will learn a lesson about what mother's really need. A sweet, cute, and lovely story.

So much of these little one and two page stories spoke to me on so many levels! I really reccomend them if you want a nice little something to put you in a good frame of mind right before sleep.

This is a good story about a thoughtful and clever girl. All mothers could use the unusual and creative gift Charity thinks of. Perhaps this book will give your own kids some ideas.

This book is great reading, especially for anyone who appreciates real life experiences mixed with poetry. Each poem is written with depth and purpose so that the reader can feel the words touching his/her soul.

This book is a wonderful collection of prayers you will want to read and look at day after day. I actually got it to give as a gift to my Mother for her birthday. I found myself going back to the store to buy myself a copy and some kleenex to give along with my Mom's book : ) Children will never know how much a Mother loves and what it all means until they themselves become a parent. My Mother and I were always close, and now that I have kids of my own...our bond is even stronger. This book looks into a Mother's heart and shows the love it is filled with for her children.

I really enjoyed this novel. If you like to read Christian fiction, then this is one you don't want to miss. I found it hard to put down. This is one of my favorites, and I'd give it more stars if I could!

This is great for anybody, whether they are LDS are not, but especially for mothers. It is a tribute to them much like the Chicken Soup Books, but with a more spiritual essence to it. It is a great idea for a mother's day present and will lighten anyone's day. This definately deserves not only 10 stars if I could, but 10 thumbs up!

This book is an excellent easy resource of what to expect and how to handle a child from birth through age 5!!

The two-page Don'ts and Dos for each age-group were a god-send! I reviewed these quick, easy-to-read reference guides frequently, especially on rotten, no-good, frustrating days.

This book is wonderful! I've read it twice and bought it for my sisters and mom. It's a practical solution for everyday stresses.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this gentle story. It is a unique gift for a young mother. Reading it to a child on your lap, it is as much a gift for the mother as it is for the young reader."The Teaching Well" seems to be written as an inspirational place where a mother can recharge to feel the affection she needs to go on caring freshly for her little ones. I like to give it as a gift for first-time mothers.
