This is wonderful music from a classical musical

This is one of the best sttories I havde ever read. It is about a Jewish community in rural Russia trying to keep their traditional way of life durring thee russian revolution. I think the characters are very realistic and I think this story is one of the most imaginative books in the world. I esspecially like the way Tevye makes up quotaations from the Bible in order to teach his children a lesson. I also find the way the entire town of Anatevka acts. In short, i hearttilly recomend this book to anyone who likes a good story that is funny and an exiting read.

This is a great book consisting of various essays on film music. The new price is high, but you can find it used for much cheaper. Fantastic analyses and theories on film music. In depth essays for those who want to read deeper into film scoring.

These cds are just amazing. At last, one can feel free of making all sounds possible. You just have to be present and let it all out. This is how music teaching should be like. Isn't music about expressing one's soul?

I have not listened to both tapes....as a matter of fact I've only gotten through the first side of the first tape because I am pressed for time, but I think this is an excellent double tape warm-up so far. I can't wait to get through the entire thing.

She really focuses on the importance of breath and she makes you really comfortable with experimenting. I have not found a vocal coach in the windy city that can help me with improvisation and I found this tape by accident...or maybe not.

It's worth every cent.

This is a fabulous show; a must have for any musical theater group!

This is the complete vocal score to Adam Guettel's "Floyd Collins." It contains all the vocal lines and underscoring from the show. Also present is a breakdown of the 8 orchestra books for the pit. A list of characters in included, but there is no discussion of their vocal ranges (not that it's all that hard to look through the score and find them for yourself).

Mr. Sperling's keyboard reductions of his own orchestrations are incredibly accurate, if highly un-pianistic. This isn't so much his fault, as it is the nature of the beast. Guitar music just doesn't translate to the piano all that well. Chord symbols would have been nice-and they are included in the guitar appendix (a nice addition to the score)-alas, they are not present in the piano reduction.

All in all a great volume.

This book is a comprehensive volume with songs in Scottish, Irish, and Manx Gaelic as well as Cornish, Welsh, and English.

I played a few tunes out of this book at my friends house and had to get it. There are so many beautiful folk songs that can be played on any instrument.

This vocal library collection features popular songs from the cycles, but doesn't include the rarely performed. It's a great collection to introduce Schubert--it has standard songs and a good mix without purchasing the entire Kagen series.

This is a beautiful edition and well worth buying even without the CD.

Some key points:

English translations for the German poetry are provided *before* each piece. English lyrics are *not* provided under the music.

Each song includes a brief description including original key, where/when/why the song was written/published/performed, and information on the poem.

Music engraving is clean and crisp. Two selections have parts for obligatto instruments. These are included below the vocal line *and* on a separate page.

Paper weight and binding appear to be quite good. This is a large book (1.5 inch spine), so it will be interesting to see how it lasts through the years.

this book told me everything that i wanted to know about george and ira. when i was done i felt that i knew them myself. i totally reccomend this book to anyone with the slightest intrest in either one (or both) of the gershwins.

Though small in size this is a great book.When you get tired of the left-wing dribble about this War,as well as previous ones;reach for this book and be reminded of what it means to love Country and Freedom.Lee is also small in size,but a giant when it comes to appreciation for the freedom and privilege he enjoys living in America.Dont be fooled into thinking that Lee was jumping on the bandwagon of 9/11. He wrote and recorded this in 1984.Every time I hear Lee sing this song ;I am reminded of a recording by Gordon Sinclair back in the 60's,I believe,titled "The Americans".There are a lot of people here in Canada could do well by listening to it!

Milton Okun's collection has long been the benchmark in Sixties music compilations. Nearly every important song and songwriter is featured. If you want one book that captures the songs of the 1960's, this is the book. The arrangements for piano are the best I've seen.

For a little pocket dictionary, it's got a lot in it. I like the way it is organized. It fits easily into my bag and on my nightstand. I am very happy with it. I still may shop around for a larger music dictionary but in the meantime this one is great and I will use it even when I get a bigger one.

Every student should have a suitable music dictionary at their disposal during ensemble rehearsals. This book fits the bill perfectly for junior high, middle school and high school students. A must have for any kid in band or orchestra.
