This is a book for someone interested in a system that actually works. The authors have used their considerable experience
to analyze the process of acquiring a target and hitting it, and the book contains both technical and figurative data about
the process. No more flailing about "like a paper bag in a tornado." Very practical. As a bonus, it is well written and
funny. My shooting improved dramatically.

The mere first page of Corbett Harp's "If Not For Desire" grabs you in the gut and doesn't let you go. Harp creates a truly
dark underworld of vengeance, violence, and transgression in a novel that surprisingly reads more like poetry than prose.
Stark and brutal, yet beautiful, "Desire" encompasses the best of both the crime and science fiction genres. Harp's ability
to enthrall the reader with vivid imagery is undeniable, and his work is nearly impossible to put down. A must-read!

Voices from the past, speaking to Olivia: very much in the present. A skeleton uncovered in the garden of Olivia's home leads
her into a journey of discovery. A discovery not only of the identity of the skeleton but also the identity of herself.
This beautifully-crafted novel is part mystery, part history and part love story. Weaving back and forth Stevie Davies holds
the reader from the first page until the last, creating vivid scenes from the Seventeenth Century and interlacing them with
scenes from the present. There is much humour in the novel, ranging from bawdy to sarcastic and some just plain 'daft' !
It is a novel which can be read and read again. Each time, the reader will find something new. By the end of the novel you
will be hooked on the Seventeenth Century and you will want to find out more. By good fortune, you need look no further than
Stevie Davies's non-fiction work of the same era, Unbridled Spirits: Women Of the English Revolution: 1640-1660. It was whilst
writing this book that Stevie Davies was inspired to write her novel, Impassioned Clay.

Although the book is written by a not very well known author it is astounding the amount of work that goes into it. The information
presented is in such a manner that you get some insight into the characters. Being a member of one of the families presented
and having visited the area numerous times it is very insightful and presents the persons in a very interesting light. Alan
Oppedal has done his Homework and definitely knows the subject. This is a must read for anyone ever from a small town or sharing
the names mentioned in the book. I may be biased but at least I am honest about it.

Mac Low was an influential poet and composer whose experimental approaches echo some of those of John Cage. 'Doings' presents
3 dozen-plus of Mac Low's experimental scores, arranged chronologically. They take an array of forms: Word drawings, typescripts,
letters and digits written on 3×5 cards, and columns and rows of words written on graphing paper.
This book and companion audio CD allow the reader to see and hear several of these compositions as they are realized. The performers skillfully navigate through the many options Mac Low's scores present to them. Like jazz and improv musicians, the speakers must create, on the spot, while listening to and responding to each other.
Mac Low created some verbal scores based on anagrams of the dedicatee's name. He threw dice, chose numbers chosen from the Rand Corporation's table A Million Random Digits, and even placed an IBM punch card on a piece of paper and rubbed a pencil over the holes.
Most of the recorded performances include Mac Low as a performer and a number include his longtime collaborator and companion Anne Tardos, who helped produce this book.

It's already been 10 years since 'Love Song for a Savior' - yikes! But it's still one of my favorites. This book has piano
parts/vocals/and guitar chords for 17 Jars of Clay songs, including 'Collide,' 'Like a Child,' 'Fade to Grey,' and 'Unforgetful
You.' The piano arrangements do a decent job of mirroring the full band.

I first heard the band known as Jars of Clay back in college, the style of how their cords were played facinated me. So I
decided to ask around and a number of people gave their own opinions on how it was done. Then I came across this book, a
sign that I will soon get my story straight. This is one piece of material that I would definetly recommend.

This is a wonderful book that shows the courage, perseverance and faith called for to fulfill Christ's great commission. Anyone
considering the mission field would be well served to read and take to heart what may be required of you and the glory of
seeing the Lord's wonderful faithfulness and provision.
