You're expected to know Latin and it is assumed that you do so. There are interpretations of the Latin at the end of each chapter but it is disruptive.
It's excellent. I highly recommend it. I also recommend the simplified Christian dialect that is the present fad and learning material from Memoria Press to start the Latin.

Step back in time to 1776 & witness the American Revolution.Review Date: 1997-09-02
With The Liberty Bell series the journey begins all over again. But this time we slow the pace and look even deeper into the soul of our nation at its beginnings.
You will meet historical figures such as George Washington, John and Samuel Adams, and others on this journey. But this is not the two dimensional portraits we see thoughout history. We touch the flesh and bone these people were. Rounding out the story with his own charatcer creations, Gilbert Morris gives his reader not just a look at our history, but the feel of it as it happened.
If you do not want to read every book in this series, then use this as a warning. Don't read the first chapter of the first book. I am currently reading my 26th book by Gilbert Morris. And I hope to read at least 26 more.
Gilbert Morris has become a close friend of mine. Sad to say, but we have never met. But through his writings we have become lifetime friends. I look forward to our quiet moments together as he not only tells me the history of my past, but he allows me to see it come to life.

All in all, one of the most accessible and entertaining pieces of history on the Kid.

I really wish we had used the book, I wish that I had read it earlier because some of the design principles raised by Bell have dramatically helped to improve my work. I haven't finished the book yet, but it has helped me greatly to understand my own designs to explain them to others, as well as to form a starting point with the idea that humans have certain native proportions, angles, shapes, colors, and patterns that are perceived as beautiful. These concepts are necessary when you are involved in landscape architecture, and I'm very glad I ended up using this book.
