I was fortunate to witness a healing done at distance, in Nice, France, after World War Two. One of our friends, a Chistian Science Practitioner had us meet her at her home one evening and with us was a lady, who had lost her sister to the nazi death camps- they were jewish. She had brought a plea from a sick friend who was going to have surgery the next day for a badly infected goiter. The practitioner accepted to treat for her at distance, we were on the other side of town, and sitting at a kitchen table she started orally to state the facts of being, and a few minutes later declared that it was done: God had healed the person- and we felt it too. The next day I saw the person who had made the request, she was still under shock, she said that the night before all of a sudden the swollen gland started to disappear, and she had called her doctor to stop everything. She was grateful and wanted to pay, anything. But our friend, the Christian Scientist said: "You owe man nothing, GOD did it. Just respect His Presence with you. That is all you have to do. This is Why Jesus Came".And I can say that all the years I knew her I never saw her take anything for the healings.She had been a teacher and was independent.For her Healing was a sacerdoce.

I looked at a number of books on mummy-making before settling on this one, and I made a very good choice! The pages are VERY colorful, the see-though sections neat, and the text clear, informative, and interesting.

I highly recommend it.

I purchased "See-Through Mummies" for my grandson, aged 8, hoping to stimulate an interest in Egyptology. The book is very readable and has many beautiful and colourful illustrations. The scene is set with the telling of the Osiris story, leading to a very interesting and accurate account of the process of mummification and subsequent burial. The religious beliefs of this fascinating people are also featured - as well as many little insights which bring this ancient culture to life. This may be a book for children but I think all ages will appreciate its story and its sheer beauty.

This book is easy to read and presents excellent information on the seven rays and how they impact our lives. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in studying the seven rays. Sanaya Roman - author Living with Joy

No one on this earth knows more about the seven rays than Dr. Baker. They are the true powers behind astrology and psychology. Baker has a way of taking a very difficult subject and making it understandable. Anyone with an interest in psychology or astrology must read this work.

Chip and Tim have taken the time to really look into the what God wants a relationship to be. Living in this day and age is so CONFUSING because of all the mixed messages we get about sex, relationships, and love. We are raised by movies depicting what 'true love' is, told by our parents to 'just wait' when we ask about sex, and WE HAVE NO IDEA WHY! Why doesn't any of this make sense, why can't I find true love, why are my relationships always so confusing. If you find yourself wondering these same things, read this book, it has brought about a huge change in perspective for me, keeps true to what God tells us about relationships and sex, and does a great job of tying that to the reality we live in.

We had a conference at our Church that was based partly on this book, I was very impressed with the conference and so was my 15-year old son. So much so, that the minute we got home I ordered the book, not only for my son but for my teenage niece and nephew.

My sister said that she couldn't get my niece and nephew to read anything, that I had just wasted my money. Boy, was she surprised! Not only did they read it, they couldn't put it down! Neither could my son.

Now, I have to admit that I have not read the book, I have just flipped through it. But, I know that the book has made a difference in the way the kids think about pre-marital sex and waiting. They more clearly see the positive things that come from waiting, and aren't so worried about peer pressure. I wish I had had this book when I was a teenager!

Every adolescent should read this book, it is very direct and talks about almost every aspect of sexuality that is out there, every day, in front of our children. They are surrounded by sex, it's in movies, music, television, radio, school and church, isn't it time they see it from a different perspective, not one swayed by ratings and childish notions.

This book surprised me as I first saw it as an endearing picture book talking about igloos. But when I read it, it became a real eye opener. With Tookoome's humble way of telling stories I feel that I got a very clear picture of what it was like for him to go from living the most real of lifestyles on the land, to a contrived one, being forced to live in a settlement. Tookoome tells a sad yet beautiful tale that will make you think about what white man (Kabloonaq) has done in the name of "progress", and how it has forever altered the course of how life was intended to be lived.

In The Shaman's Nephew: A Life In The Far North, Inuit shaman Simon Tookoome and author/storyteller Sheldon Oberman collaborate to provide a unique translation of both Inuktitut and oral traditions. Illustrated in full color throughout by self-taught Tookoome, The Shaman's Nephew offers distinct and animated art showcasing twenty-eight passages describing various and diverse aspects of Inuit life including the naming of children, child-rearing, hunting, drumming in Inuit culture, the mysteries of Shamanism, and Tookoome's own inspiration for his art. The Shaman's Nephew is highly recommended reading for students of Native American studies in general, and the Inuit culture in particular.

This product really helps in the correct pronounce of the words, showing each difference in sound. It's easy to follow and undestand. A "must-have" to anyone who's learning english.
