Below is a copy from the Table of Contents of this CD-ROM. If you were to buy all these books individually, it would cost maybe even a few hundred dollars. This is a great way to get all the Alice Bailey books and have the books even take up very little room. There is an index that allows you to research various subjects and you can also use all the search tools on a standard web browser (a browser is needed to access these files, since the html files).

Alice Bailey claims to have channeled information from a Tibetan Master and talks about the coming of the Maitreya Buddha back into the world. There are parallels between her writings and the Kalachakra teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, particularly since both teachings have an elaborate Astrology behind them. Much of the information is practical and relates to how to work with spiritual energy.

I have found the teachings valuable. They are not perfect teachings. You have to use discernment to pick out what is useful and important. But the teachings have a more advanced and more mature flavor than many spiritual writings. Perhaps this is why many people still find them useful when much written during the same time has gotten a little dated. Every book AB wrote has an encouragement to take only what makes sense to the reader and let go of the rest.

This CD-ROM used to be freely given a while ago, but is now out of print. Maybe it will be reissued again.

Easy read, highly recommended. Great 'real life' case examples which coincide with the BACB ethical guidelines and gives answers as to what to do if faced with the situations in the case studies. I've found it helpful in generalizing my own knowledge of the guidelines to real life scenerios as I prepare for the BCBA exam.

The field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has experienced explosive growth over the last decade and a half. The over-riding goal of any ABA effort must be to increase the autonomy of the individual, his/her ability to make choices for his or her own life and to live independently within society. Unfortunately, many individuals who are supposedly providing ABA services have not received the training needed to engage in this effort responsibly, effectively, and ethically. Such individuals cannot therefore carry out the mission of ABA stated above. This book addresses the all-important ethical responsibilities of a behavior analyst, discussing the responsibilities of behavior analysts as regards their clients, colleagues, and the greater field. It should be required reading for anyone who wants to be involved in ABA. Perhaps most importantly for consumers, a familiarity with this book will allow a determination of the qualifications and ethical stances of prospective behavior analysts. The numerous case studies make all the information highly concrete. This book should become a standard in graduate level ethics courses, as well as for anyone trying to prepare for the BCBA or BCABA exam.

I bought this book this weekend after hearing Drs. Bell Scott and Johnson-Bailey read from it on campus. I did not expect to be so moved, to experience the power of these stories. Once I did, though, I had to buy the book to read the rest of it. I was amazed by my own emotional reaction to stories so far removed from my life as a young, white, yankee girl.

BROKEN SILENCE

Telling the truth can be a painful exercise. Telling the truth can open unhealed wounds with poisonous pus erupting. Once told the silence is broken. Only then can truth be liberating and true healing can take place.

African-american women get the truth told about their lives in this diverse collection of essays, poetry, interviews and photography. Through these various mediums we engage Black women in discussing the difficulties in telling about their lives, healings which took place, relationships that have been broken and reclaimed and the challenges of resisting marginalization.

For years many gifted Black women have been relegated into the obscurity of silence by the culture at large and sadly by their own people. Travel with Alice Walker as she rescues Zora Neale Hurston from the pit of obscurity. Walker shares with us the adventure of one Black woman writer searching to honor another Black woman writer who was placed in obscurity. Zora was independent and shows what happens to a woman with a mind of her own.

Kate Rushin questions us about suicide. Are Black women crazy enough to consider it? We're too busy going through life changes to worry about it. Or do we? Consider Rushin's poetry. Overall this volume presents Black women as they are. They are not the superwomensapphiresbitchesmammies and other stereotypes that are placed upon them but are reflective, intelligent women whose lives have enriched their culture. A brief glimpse of their works enables us to appreciate them for whom and what they are. Through the telling of the truth then we can appreciate ourselves and those women in our communities who have given so much. By all means put this book in your own personal library. I have.

I have gone thru this cook book more than any other cook book. I think this is absolutely stunning in many ways. It gives you dishes with pretty much classic taste combinations but then adds flavours in different unusual places ex. crab risotto with avocado sorbet.

Althought this shows very clearly how dishes are put together I think a professional chef is the one who still gets most out of this book. He also has special section about food chemistry.

This book ROCKS BIG TIME.

Happily waiting for the next book to come out...

I've tried all the recipes in this book and...WOW what a food paradise the author creates in your home. Almost every recipe is great (I just had a neutral feeling about a few of them) and they often make use of unconventional methods of cooking or combining ingredients (e.g. onion ice cream). However, how strange that may sound, the combinations are actually really nice and innovative. The only thing you need to remember is that you'll have to spend much more time with these recipes than with the traditional "scrambled eggs recipes". But the sensation to your palate will be heavenly!

The collaborative effort of military historian Frank W. Bailey and French aviation history expert Christophe Cony, The French Air Service War Chronology 1914-1918 is not a narrative-style history, but rather an extensive reference listing all the claims and losses of the French fighter force on a day-to-day basis. Previously unpublished black-and-white photographs add a visual touch to the extensive and exhaustive tables that succinctly summarize the day-to-day lives and deaths of brave fighters and flyers. A meticulously researched and detailed resource, The French Air Service War Chronology 1914-1918 is an original, definitive, and very strongly recommended contribution to World War I Military Aviation History library reference collections.

Anyone that wants to do more then just scratch the surface on WW1 aviation should seriously consider this book. This book is very comprehensive, in that it takes each day and breaks down in chronological form the claims and losses of both fighter and two- seater units. Any known details are included, such as time, location, victim and unit details. A useful reference book that should be cross referenced with 'The Jasta War Chronology' to allow for a clearer picture of 'who got who' or the probability of such an encounter. Highly recommended.

Set in the slums of Bristol, England during the 1830's through the 1840's. Faith Coxe Bailey's story of George Mueller is about a man's trust in God to supply an orphanage with 300 orphans, and the essentials to live with.
George trusts God to guide him through the building of a home for unwanted children. He lives day to day, and sometimes hour to hour, praying for food and clothing for the children. Throughout the book, George wants people to believe that God answers prayers. That is why he will not ask for anything from anyone, because he relies on God to provide.
In this scene from the book, George had just purchased the house that was to be used as the orphanage. He prayed to God for all of the emenities needed and within an hour, George received a huge bundle of dishes from an unknown individual.
This book shows that God provides and takes care of His children. And the power of prayer can supply your needs, whatever they may be.

George Mueller

By Faith Coxe Bailey Reviewed by Lindsay Woods

This is a really cool book. I read it all in two sittings, which is not a regular occurrence for me. It's about a young man living in Germany, who struggles with authority and feels that everyone wants to dominate him - his father, the police, even a publican who had him arrested. On leaving School he attends the University of Halle, where he is a divinity student - (his fathers wish), he has no great interest in God. A chance reunion with an old acquaintance eventually leads to his acceptance of Jesus at a prayer meeting.

From here he has notions of mission work, meets with a missionary to the Jews, decides thats what he should be doing, learns Hebrew, prays very fervently, tells his dad, dad says it's dumb and cuts his finance, George says "go ahead and cut it, I'm not taking any money from you again". From here the story develops of George's total dependence on God and no one else. He needs money to get through his studies, and when he prays God miraculously provides for him.

He travels to London where he is starts a probationary period with a society that reaches Jews for Jesus. However George is frustrated by the emphasis on study, when people could be getting saved, so he leaves. From there he takes up a position as minister in a small church in Teignmouth, gets married to Mary, and the idea of financial reliance on God develops. The church paid George's salary by renting the best seats in the church to those with cash. George wanted God to finance him, and his conviction was that he would ask no-one else but God for money, the point being to prove that God answers prayer. God did support him, as he prayed.

He moves on to Bristol where he starts a chapel with good friend Henry Craik, and they minister to the slums, and endure disease outbreak, which actually takes George's son. On seeing a child caged into a children's home, he decides to start a school for the poor children. Lack of money is always the perceived issue by George's associates, but George proves that by praying and being patient God brings the money. He opens his school. But many students were so poor, they were shipped off to the home, where there are unable to leave to goto school. George believed God wanted him to start an orphanage for these children. He prayed very specifically, with an exact sum of money in mind, and for people to help with the work, and for clothes for the children, and so on. Then he read in the bible in the book of Psalms, and a verse struck him, that confirmed what he was doing was right. It was God's promise to him, and he remembered it when he prayed. God provided people to do the job, and brought finance from nowhere to his doorstep. He opened the orphanage, packed it out, prayed for more, and opened another 3 orphanages over a period of time. There was never an abundance of cash, but day by day, God provided, as George prayed. Eventually, George bought land, and built a huge orphanage out of town, then four more over the years until he provided for over two thousand orphans. As he asked God for more, God gave more, donations went from shillings to pounds, to hundreds of pounds to thousands of pounds at a time - and George only asked God for it.

This is a great book about the reality of God and his ability to work, and do more and more than we can imagine

It wasn't hard to figure out where Hilary came from -- you could tell that she was going somewhere else -- but you can never really know where she's going. But you have a sense that wherever she's going, we can't go, because you have to have wings because it's up in the sky. I liked the characters. I liked that Hilary could only read picture writing. And I liked that she took James and Amanda flying. (Anna, age 8)

Tozer's compact gem of a book focuses on God' willingness to communicate with those who sincerely seek Him.

Tozer covers several important points, including:

1. God is to be treated with reverence.
2. God is best known in silence.
3. The church is to contrast with the world.
4. Unity is not always desirable.
5. Christians have become too accomodating to the world.
6. Beware of pragmatism in the church.
7. A Christian should be a creative thinker.
8. Beware of religious artificiality and the fear of man.
9. Do not be afraid to speak up for the truth!
10. Faith and expectation go together.

All in all, I highly recommend the book for the person who seeks a deeper relationship with the Lord and who dares to be different from the world!

It is difficult to find a perfect compendium for your favourite TV series. Often the fault lies in the text which spends far too much time devoted to the actors and less on the actual episodes. Often these books are awash with glamorous pictures of the actors. Often the book describes too much of an episode and ends up like War and Peace or sometimes it describes too little and it looks like a flyer that was passed out to you on the street. Goodnight Seattle hits the right note in every aspect; it is the perfect compendium.

David Bailey has gone to great lengths to research the episodes of Frasier and he reviews them efficiently with a lot of wit. He disects the episodes into comfortable headings and then he breaks down the episode. We learn of guest stars; the celebrity callers and regular characters who don't even deserve a credit like the overworked waitresses. My favourite part of the compendium is the way the author continues minute sub-plots which an average viewer will forget after a viewing. He focuses on Granny Moon's antics, Maris' inappearances and the blossoming romance between Niles and Daphne.

A Must Have For Frasier Fans!!!!!!!
