If you're a leader and you want to live an extraordinary life then this book is for you. 95% of the people in United States believe in a higher power, whether or not they call it God or something else. Inviting that power into your life and making it part of your approach to leadership will pay benefits to both you and the people you lead. What you now consider as miracles will soon become the norm or natural.

There is power in softness. People are desperate to be led. People yearn to be loved. Stephen's book shows you how to do both. Read it, you'll appreciate the changes that will happen. The people you lead will applaud you for it as well.

I have read John Maxwell, Tony Robbins, and Stephen Covey. This book stands out because it is read as a conversation across the table from Stephen McGhee. He challenges you consistently to live a life of integrity and accountability - and to discover 'where' the leader in you comes from. Read it and be impacted.

How can it be that with so many seminars, trainings, programs, and inspirational material available, our planet seems to have so many vacancies for truly powerful--and empowering--leadership?

To my mind, Steve's book points the way to a leadership paradigm that can fill those vacancies. Practical, guided exercises, amazing personally revealing anecdotes, and an unapologetic call to action.

This book will create leaders that no longer chant, "Follow me!" It will birth leaders who have the courage to say, "I'll go first."

This is such an intriguing set of CD's. The things that Mike introduces and the way he guides you in teaching yourself focus is amazing. I gained so much from listening the first time around and was absolutely amazed that I was learning even more the second time around. It is such a crucial learning tool after watching the DVD "The Secret". After reading listening to these things I was amazed when I was actually able to see how I had already been using the information in my life. (maybe not the way I wanted to but I could see it) I was able to see how I had made certain circumstances take place, wow was that a discovery!!!

Life lesson # 120: Share your knowledge.

The first thing I thought when I finished this book was that I wish I had money like Oprah to buy a copy for every woman that I know and meet. It is ageless and colorless in it's message. I'm in my 30s and I felt like the book was written just for me at this exact moment in my life. I plan to start 2008 with a new perspective and this book is will be a constant reference. Thank you Ms Munson!

This had everything from poetry to insight and it was all spoken from real life experiences the author lived through. Like another reviewer said, all the topics was followed by a summary that showed a outline of the main points. This book was informative and inspirational and gives teenage girls the best advice they could ever have, to love themselves before they can love others.

Natasha Munson's book Life Lessons for My Sisters is a compilation of poetry, insight, and lessons based on the author's real life experiences. Munson describes in a unique, yet simplistic manner how to succeed in life and in love with an emphasis put on first knowing and loving one's self. I enjoyed that each point was often enhanced by a poem and after each topic, there was a summary to show the main points.

Life Lessons for My Sisters tackles all aspects of life in an informative and inspirational manner. Although the book seems to be geared toward a teenage/young adult audience, it contains information that women of all ages need to heed. I highly recommend this book for any girl or woman who needs guidance or positive affirmations in their lives.

I cannot say it any better than the many other reviewers who have indicated that this is the "bible" of camera collecting references! Exhaustive references, historic information, pictures, auction selling prices, the "whole nine yards!"

The only camera reference book better than this one is Jim McKeown's next edition!

Review Date: 2002-04-26
Jim McKeown's books are the most comprehensive sources of accurate information on cameras in the world. Period. Other books may give more information on specific cameras, but if you are to have but one source to refer to,choose McKeown. He will never disappoint you.
Another wonderful camera expert and writer (they don't always go together) is Ivor Matanle. His two books are treasures. But if you want facts, go with McKeown. You will return over and over to his book. Speaking face to face with him is most rewarding. You realize you are learning from one of the world authorities.
Wonderful pictures, camera values (prices) rarity, etc. This book contains cameras even experts haven't heard about. But McKeown is the expert of experts, and you will keep this large, heavy, over 900 page book near just for the fun of reading it. Am I enthused? Yes! I have bought his books since the 4th edition in 1983-84, and always been pleased.
A lengthy review? Yes, but this book deserves much praise!

Classic Guide to Antique Cameras

I have had the pleasure of owning (and still own) the 1976 Guide To Antique Cameras by Mckeown. It has been many years since then and the price for a guide has really risen. As an Antique dealer I found myself getting interested in collectible cameras once again. I knew I needed a guide and reviewed a 1996 copy a friend owned my McKeowen and was convinced this is the one to own. My library consists of at least 200 books on Antiques and 50 price guides on Art, Jewelry, clothing, Orientalia to name a few. I hesitated at the price for this guide, but after reasearching the options I knew this was the concise price guide for me. I own it and am happy I chose it and it makes me MONEY just owning it. I have 30 years of Amatuer collecting and selling under my belt and I really don't need a price guide just my wits, (that's what I told myself) but it just makes it soooo easy to reinforce my experience with a reference and value basis for my risks. Leica III,a,b,c,g, Mentor Reflex, Zeiss-Ikon Miroflex, Robot 35mm, Hasselblad, Kodak Field Cameras, Sept 35mm camera projector, TDC 3d projector & Nikon Cameras are a few of the cameras I have used this informational price guide in evaluating.

My McKeown's price guide has been an invaluable tool in selling old camera's at online auction sites. It not only gives you a solid idea of what a camera is worth, but it many cases it gives you some history and background as well.

There are pictures of almost every camera listed to help you identify your exact model, and it explains in detail the difference between similar models.

I can't think of anything that could be added to make this a more complete pricing guide.

Obsessions Is Easily Forgotten........
Helpful Votes: 13 out of 15 total.
Review Date: 2006-07-27
I like the size of this book filled with black and white photographs. One does not need 11 by 14 inch presentation books to present artistic photography. The title should have been bondage since the photographs are 90% this and not much more. So unless the world of bondage is your artistic pleasure, then look elsewhere for the fine artistic nudes. There are a few memorable photographs but the rest are forgotten quickly and thus obsession is the furthest thing from this reader's mind. Sure there have been worst collections but there are many more fantastic books on this subject which makes this one a nice view to expand one's knowledge of this black and white world which no one should ever be obsessed about.

An obsession is what you make of it.....

Review Date: 2006-07-29
An Obsession is an individual's compulsive preoccupation with an idea, or thing. Martin R. Class' obsession is portrayed exceptionally well through this material. I personally am not as well knowledged on photography as most others, but what I do know is, as someone that is not deeply involved in the industry, I can personally find interest in his work. This is true art. The settings, the amount of lighting and contrast, the finish production of each image, all exceptionally artistic.
In short, the material contained within this book is remarkable, and maintains focus on the style of art many people find to be an obsession.
... additionally, it is in this viewers personal opinion that individuals that cannot understand the meaning of the word obsession, or those that cannot accept personal preference should not be writing reviews on such topics.

To put it simply, I like this book. Some of the photos appeal to me more than others, but I think this photographer is definitely on to something. It's a smaller format book (like the others in the Mixofpix series), but that actually works in its favor. It makes me feel like I'm looking through a secret, dirty, little visual diary of the forbidden things he has witnessed and documented with his camera. Not every photography book has to be an oversized, overpriced behemoth that just sits on your table and gets coffee spilled all over it. "Obsession" is one that belongs under your pillow.

The overall feeling I got when I looked through the book was satisfaction. The photographs were tasteful and the women were portrayed very well. The models weren't exceptionally hot, which was actually a refreshing change of pace. A lot of average looking women in sensuous poses. The book retains a spot in my bathroom for patrons to view at there leisure. I do recommend this book, it makes a nice addition to the collection.

Elizabeth Tolley's "Oil Painter's Solution Book" was particularily helpful with information on the use of resin mediums and odorless mineral spirits. As an "old fashioned painter" using the traditional stand oil, damar varnish, and turpentine medium, this was an easy-to-understand and useful source.

The sprial bound book was so much better than the usual paper back or standard bound books. It opens flat for easier use when painting.

I would recommend this book for painters that are somewhat better than beginners or for "holiday painters" looking for information to help improve their work.

Seasoned painters may not find the book very useful, unless they are looking for specific information or the lovely images of Tolley's work.

Superb Portraits!

Review Date: 2001-03-14
This is one of the best books of portraits that it has been my pleasure to view.

Before going further, let me observe that the book contains much female nudity that would earn an "R" rating if this were a motion picture.

Glenn O'Brien in the book's introduction captures the essence of the book well, "The beauty standard is being raised once again."

Whether the subjects are beautiful (and many are) or not, the result is the same -- a deep look into the personality and character of the model done in large, vivid detail in wonderfully contrasting duotone. One of the best tests for this book is to compare the celebrity images you see here with others you have seen of these same people. These images are more warm, more revealing, and more fun to see. Mr. Demarchelier has a light touch that gets out the happiest version of a person. You'll find yourself laughing and smiling your way through this collection, for sure.

The portraits displayed here are uniformly of very high quality, and provide nice contrasts of subjects (nose rings, boulders, children, and elephants among the beautiful people).

Most sales books are a rehash of the same things that have been published for the last 30 years. This book is different - very different. If you'd like to get inside a person's head to really understand what they want, and have them tell you exactly how to sell to them, then this book is for you. If you've run into a road block with any client and can't figure out how to move forward, this book will give you the foundation to change all of that.

Dr. Stebbins is a true professional in every sense of the word. Plus he's been selling for over 30 years. I've taken trainings with him and have used him as a coach, long before his book came out. PeopleSavvy for Sales Professionals is icing on the cake.

Buy it, read it, you'll be glad you did.

I've read tons of sales books, and rarely rave about them - but this book is truly outstanding. Dr. Stebbins does a great job of teaching the psychology of the sales process in plain English. He covers how to build trust with your prospects, understand their real motivations, and present yourself in a way where they just naturally want to do business with you.

Highly recommended - you will learn more about what really makes a salesperson successful than you will from reading dozens of books of "sales tricks".

How many times have you met someone either in business or in your personal life where their reaction to you took you by surprise? Do you ever wish you could better understand where people were coming from?

"People Savvy" is one of the first books I've read that helps to break down human traits in a simple way that's truly useful in day-to-day interactions. Author Stebbins gives you smart and simple tools necessary to better grasp why people act as they do and he shows you natural non-invasive ways to negotiate those relationships.

In my business understanding people's motivations are key, "People Savvy" has not only helped me to understand where people are coming from but it gave me the ability to serve their needs while taking care of my own. PeopleSavvy for Sales Professionals

In his outstanding new book, PeopleSavvy for Sales Professionals, Dr Gregory Stebbins provides a winning formula for improving and mastering sales techniques and interpersonal relationships.

In the book, Stebbins, explains the psychology that drives buying and selling behaviors and shows us that by mastering this psychology we learn to positively influence the outcome of selling relationships.

This is one volume that brings together many approaches to what I call social selling styles. If my readers agree that we now must teach and train our own sales teams, then this is an excellant background, base skills book for that task. If you have already implemented question based selling approaches in learning how your customers buy, this book will give you more skills to blend in. Clearly written, with a logical style, this is a useful book, but his secrets have not been secret for a long time.

I have been an actor for 5 years now. I've studied in multiple disciplines with multiple coaches. And over time while that has improved me as an actor, it has confused me as well. I have so much information and styles running around in my head that at times I have found that I have forgotten the basics. In addition, I haven't been able to find a systematic approach to acting that brings everyting together. Until now.

I was given Ivanna's book 2 years ago and never took the time to read it. I was studying with someone else and thought I was doing what I needed. I decided to pick up the book a few months ago and I found Ivanna's technique was what I was missing in my acting, a structure to wrap all of my thoughts and training around.

This book appeals to me as a person who likes some structure when approaching a script. However, it still encourages me to make discoveries and remain in the moment. It has truly opened my eyes to the possibilities that Ivanna's technique allows in delving into a character's psyche.

Not only was the book richly rewarding for me, but it has led me to her acting studio to study under her guidance in hopes of further utilizing her knowledge and approach.

I can't recommend this book enough for the working actor, as well as the newcomer. All levels of actor can benefit from the technique and structure she provides. Not to mention Part 2 of the book is FANTASTIC in preparing for auditions by offering some insights to careers and hang ups people have.

The Actor as Overcomer

I cannot say enough about what a gift this book and technique are for the actor. Ivana's book is a fresh and practical approach for all, especially those who may feel "techniqued- out". It is the first technique book I have looked at in over two years and I have been really enjoying it, digesting it and "overcoming" my own training wounds in the process. The whole idea of overcoming obstacles within the text is so alive and active for any actor who considers themself an overcomer, and also for those who long to bring themselves fully to any script. Ivana has created a technique that will custom fit the actor and not the other way around. I wish I had found this book long before I started my training.

This book opened my eyes to another way of operating. I now use this technique even in my class scenes. Like AMEX, I don't go anywhere without it!

I wouldn't recommend this book for raw beginners, but someone who has a working knowledge of acting and stagecraft will find it immensely valuable. With its full exploration of the "why" of techniques mentioned in other texts, Ms. Chubbuck's technique refines Stanislavski to a practical and accessible recipe for creating believable and powerful characters. Highly recommended!
