Chilled Books

I have to say that this is the finest work I have read in this field; although two years old, it's still a fascinating guide to the horse meat industry, and anybody with a proclivity for horses and mules will find the enormous range of black-and-white photographs particularly entertaining. It's quite expensive, though, but if you need this kind of information you can probably get your company to pay for it. Myself, I'm a consumer, and I just have a thing for meat, so I saved up.

I wouldn't have thought that the topic of chilled and frozen desserts would make for an entire cookbook, but I was wrong. If you enjoy entertaining, making chilled and frozen desserts ahead of time is a real help on the day of the event. And typical of Mr. Food, all the recipes sound both good and easy to fairly easy.

This brief collection of Goodman's final writings offers an elegiac tour of Goodman's lifelong interests: anarchist pacifism, freudian psychology, poetry, literature, sexuality. It is a kind of summing up of his work, and is shot through with beautiful aphorisms.

Readers looking for more focused treatment of Goodman's concerns would do well to seek out "Drawing the Line", "Communitas", "Growing Up Absurd", and "Gestalt Therapy", his masterpieces.

Although not 100% professionally done, informative an rather good quality. If only I could understand why majority of excellent paintings are black & white coloured despite of 2003 dated print. Was it so difficult to find original coloured ones?
In general a valuable reference book but black & white paintings are by far away from being sources.

The majority of the illustrations in this book are in black and white, and those in color are consistently very muddy reproductions. Therefore, if you are tempted to buy this book because you are interested in the looking at Yeats's painting rather than in the extensive biographical and critical text, this book is quite likely to disappoint - and particularly at the price. If you are familar with the catalog that was part of the Centenary Exhibition of his paintings and drawings you will know that they can be reproduced with stunning effect.
