I normally, do not like the traditionally staid cookbooks that often appear impossible or way too rigid. This book is FUN FUN FUN. The recipes are really unique and you're almost guaranteed to be the first to present these at a holiday party. If you want to stand out and have fun doing it, this is your holiday party book! I have used it every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas and each time make a hit---best thing is that all the recipes I have tried have been simple and fun. The illustrations keep you in the mood to have fun. They are wonderful and remind the cook to keep the holiday spirit and not take anything too seriously.

I bought this book because my old one was falling apart from so much use. I have used these recipes for many years. They are simple to make and I have not found one I did not like. I was able to lose weight by cooking dinner from this cookbook every night. This is a book that was published long ago but the recipes are wonderful. Since it is not a new book it does not include the sugar content which people nowadays would like to know. This does not bother me because they are still low calorie recipes. People who care about how many grams of sugar a recipe has usually can tell which ones work for them. You can not go wrong with this book.

This book is a compendium of some of Tony's best recipes. I've had the gastronomic pleasure of eating some of Tony's many outstanding soups and sandwiches, as well as some of his incredible deep-fried halibut.
Immediately after my first meal at his restaurant I called the local newspaper food editor and suggested a stop-and-taste. He stopped, tasted and wrote. The biggest problem then became standing in line waiting to get to the counter for more!
With this book, Tony has compiled many of those wonderful flavors into words and made them available to us.
This is a cookbook you'll come back to again and again for the very best meals! I can savor the flavor while reading, then cooking, then dining on these exceptional treats.

This book is gorgeously, hilariously written and includes some of the most incisive and original literary/cultural/queer criticism being done. The Proust section alone is worth the price of the book--but then, so is each of the other sections. Litvak clearly loves the books he's writing about, but that never dampens his relish in scoring off of them, either--his mix of identification, delight, and aggression is contagious. (At least, I hope it is.) If you ever find yourself wondering why people do critical theory after all, this book will remind and revitalize you.

Delicious and Easy to prepare recipes,and great "WOW!" presentations! The book has lots of photos too.

Although this is a small book, it is chock full of great recipes. All of the ones I have tried are fairly easy to make and turn out with great results.

If you can get your hands on this book it is worth the money.
I have enjoyed having this book in my shelves and refer to it often. The recipes are different than you will find in many other books.
