I wanted to buy this book in last year but Amazon could not send it to me. After weeks they said 'they are not able to send it'. Anyway, last week I bought it. If I could see the recipes before, I would not wait for so long; all recipes are wonderful, easy to prepare. If you like fruits in your cakes, you should buy it immediately...

The recipes and serving suggestions in this book are delicious and gorgeous, and consequently sometimes very difficult to make. Some ingridients that are listed are either not available in the US or substitutes are not adequately displayed. The recipes can sometimes lack vital explanation for a beginner, and a recipe may reference a basic recipe (the appendix contains recipes for basic components of desserts), without listing the additional ingridients needed for the recipe. The difficulty ratings can be deceiving. Nonetheless, I give this book 5 stars because the end product after hours of trying, restarting and wasting lots of egg yolks, is always fantastic.

I borrowed this book frm a friend years ago and shamefully never returned it. I have used it so much its pages are falling out. There are some very good recipies in this book, and am odering another one to replace the original copy which I must have had for nearly 15 years! It is used frequently!

This will be a little workhorse in your culinary library. Favorite recipes from 10 different cuisines to spice up any menu and all ingredients can be found in any supermarkets...I call this cookbook the answer to a busy moms prayers, and I think older children can make many of the recipes , dad's too! With a little planning, great food can be on your table...Rachel Ray would say Kudo's to you! No Voodo here, with clear well thought out recipes and directions...And, so what that it is healthy eating and still very delicious!
I do agree it is more fun if you pick up a few skills by watching food network.It is just more fun if you can mince, saute, bake and broil with a skilled hand, though not essential for your success . Have fun!

Reading this book was like laying across a bed with girl friends at a slumber party! I loved it so much. I really felt I knew these characters and amidst the pain of their relationships were so many moments of laughter. Thanks Julie, I'm looking forward to the next book!

This book features popular and favorite recipes from leading restaurants nationally. The spectrum of recipes from beverages to desserts are delightful and easily prepared. I have had the book since 1982 and have used it so much it is thread bare. How many times have you been in a restaurant, enjoyed your meal and wonder how it was prepared? This would be a superb addition to your cooking library.

I love to cook and this cookbook is one of my favorites. I would highly recommend it.

If you like the magazine Bon Appetit, you'll love this compilation of the recipes that appeared there in 2000. The pictures are beautiful, but the focus is on the food. The recipes include very complex gourmet dishes and relatively simple recipes for daily cooking. Every one I have tried has been easy to follow and has yielded delicious results. There are interesting hints and factoids scattered throughout the book, and it is very well indexed.
