Golf Books

I have had this book since 1995. I still pick it up to admire all of the wonderful photos. I hope that Dee Darden releases and updated version of this book, because the LPGA tour has so many more new superstars since it was published in 1994. I would buy it again! Robin

This book is geared toward the tee and fairway shots. In referencing proper alignment ,swing plane and how a good swing actually feels one can build a concrete swing foundation.

I was not really a bad golfer but my driving shots were not always accurate and long; then I made a habit of listening to this tape.

What you need to do is listen to the tape using a 'trigger gesture' to remind you of a calm and confident state of mind. You can recall this feeling by doing the 'trigger gesture' on the tee box. It's easy and very effective. I enjoy my driving more than ever.

Though I've purchased a few similar self-hypnosis tapes/CDs (such as 'Golf: The Mind-Body Connection' by Tom Saunders, M.D. and 'Mental Management for Great Golf' by Dr. Bee Epstein-Shepherd) I think the 'Integrating Mind & Body for Better Golf' series are the best because of the 'trigger gesture' method.

NOTE: I usually put a glove on my left hand when I use my driver. So I put it on and hold my real driver when I listen.

This guide is essential for everyone planning to visit Ireland. It succinctly tells the historical background of many sites of interest. Also, the recommendations for lodging, dining, etc. are reliable and helpful. Overall, a very straight-forward, user-friendly guide to meet the needs of all travelers.

I don't need another book on the golf swing. I wanted another copy of this book for the "Thoughts" it has. This is clearly the best "non-swing" golf book ever written and the illustrations are terrific. If you have ever played or are considering playing in golf tournaments, you need this book.

This was a used copy, from Alibris, and it is in better condition than many new books I've bought, I would highly recommend Alibris and Amazon for any used book.

A spiritual approach to the mechanics of the golf swnig, "Jesus Would Have Been a Scratch Golfer" will enhance your knowledge of swing mechanics and challenges your relationship with the Lord in the same breath. This one of a kind book will change the way you look at golf and life for eternity!

Great book. This is what I was looking for. There is an excellent chapter that tells a lot about how to find "the Slot".

This is a really good golf book which has a number of useful tips (many from Harvey Penick who was her long time coach). However, even more valuable are her thoughts on managing your yourself, your game and the course. None of this nonsense of pretending you are simply having "fun", when competing. I have read a number of golf books on the psychology of golf and none were nearly as helpful as her common sense thoughts on managing your game. In my first round with two of my friends after reading her book I won all 18 skins!

As a recreational kayaker who has become more avide over the years, I genuinely like this book. Kayaking Tahoe should be the "Offical" guide in my opinion. The author has clearly spent years loving this beautiful lake. The information contained in the pages seemingly comes from a local who has grown up playing in and around Lake Tahoe. The book highlights campgrounds, weekend water get-aways, fun/unique spots to visit, and more. There is a comprehensive fishing guide, general tourist information, outdoor safety tips, recipies, and fantastic, intricate hand drawings from a bonefide artist.

Venturi's observations and direction on the golf swing are conceptually easy to digest and apply to one's own game. He is remarkably consistent in his teaching methodology. I have not only enjoyed most of Ken's publications, but have also been to one of his live schools and found that the interaction with Ken's instuctors brings much of the material he covers in this book and others to life.

I could not be happier with the book and results I have enjoyed in applying his way of playing golf.
