Heather was invited to Tiffney's birthday party but Keisha, Megan, and Allison weren't. They say the only reason Tiffney's inviting Heather is because Heather's Mom is a reporter. When Heather gets upset, she goes to her neighbor Ellie's house because she has a magic attic. Heather tries on a beautiful pink ball gown and is transported to England. There she meets Lisbeth, a servant at the taylor shop, and Heather invites her to go to the ball. When they get there, Lisbeth is accused of stealing a necklace. Will Heather stick up for her friend?

Lots of colorful characters of wild west history.

Reads like a lot of short stories grouped together to make the book. Parker is a unique person, trying to clean up the west. No Rooster Cogburn in here, but a lot of other people who are just as interesting. Good read and great for a history buff.

Learn all about Himeji Castle, which may be the best standing example of a Japanese castle. This book really gives a feel for what it would be like to visit the castle. If you get a chance, visit it in person! The illustrations and photographs are excellent. There is a timeline, glossary, index, and list of resources for further study. Enoch Fairweather is a collector of fine gems. He prides himself on knowing the value of everything in his world. When he sees something that catches his interest, he takes it. Cormac de Barrie is a thief with the skills to slip into any tight spot. He is able to alter his appearance and hide in plain sight in order to get what he wants.

Cormac catches Enoch's interest by bringing him a trio of exquisite emeralds, but it is Cormac himself that Enoch is most interested in. As Enoch and Cormac fall into a relationship they find that they can gain more together, both personally and professionally. But when they take one too many risks in an attempt to steal a valuable jewel, they will both have to make a choice between their work and their growing love for each other.

Although a short story, the length seemed perfectly suited for Honor Among Thieves. I felt drawn into the story and loved the bantering that the characters engaged in. At one point Cormac reflects that "one values higher what one must work for" and I thought this perfectly reflected their relationship. Cormac and Enoch must face a number of trials in order to be with each other. I enjoyed reading about Enoch and Cormac and the world that they live in. I look forward to reading more from BA Tortuga.

I was shocked at the directness of this book. I read a copy of this a few weeks ago - and as corny as it sounds - it changed my life. Every page had useful advice - and it was not at all watered-down, which I liked.

This book definately packs a punch. But I wanted to know if it really worked - so I took a copy of this book out and started walking right up to women on the street (with my book in my hand :-) and folowing right out of the book. I figured I would at least get a good laugh.

I got a few weird looks and a few phone numbers. Too hell with looks - I GOT THE PHONE NUMBERS! The dates over the past few weeks have been a strange experience. It takes a little time to get used to standing up and being the boss - and having women love it. If you can get your hands on a copy of this book - buy it - trust me. But beware. It will probably change your entire view on women. I am still kind of shocked at this new lifestyle - but the attention I am getting makes it pretty cool.

I guess you don't really know how much "balls" you can have until you get fed up with taking crap from women - and start being honest with yourself and them. All in all this was a quick read (I read it 4 times the first week I had it before I finally convinced myself to try the techniques), and it worked for me. Best twenty bucks I ever spent.

Good luck

This is an excellent book...How the analogy of baseball is intertwined with the storms of life is remarkable...This book gives Biblical solutions for seasons and reasons of life...I highly, highly reccommend this book...It is an easy read with clear wording....It helps the reader realize that when life throws you a curve you can still hit a home run with the Bible as your bat..
