Reference Software Books

This book is a pocket-size reference that allows you to quickly and easily find all commands, code, function or statements you may need without the cumbersome use of the IBM reference manuals. Seems to be very easy to use and I would highly recommend it if you need a reference guide.

I found this book a couple weeks ago and have been using it daily. I cant believe how much easier its made things for me! I've been playing guitar for about 6 months now so Im still learning, but am so glad I've come across this book and its software. The Quick Chord disc is basically a very in-depth dictionary of chords, but unlike websites (that are junk compared to this) that offer similar information, the sound is crisp, you can swith between different guitar styles (sounds) and there's a section on the disc to record various chords, play them back and / or save them so you can hear what different chords sound like together. I was totally surprised with the software that was on the disc inside -and how easy it is to use. Well worth the $$!!

If you're a new business owner as well as new to QuickBooks, then this is a GREAT book for you! In addition to the QuickBooks content, this book covers much more! You'll get an overview of accounting concepts, chores that need to be done, information on business plans and more! It is a great all in one resource for the a new business owner. It would also be helpful to others assisting and consulting small businesses.

Quicken is hard to use until you get the hang of it, and this book helped me "get it." Everything is explained clearly. When I had a problem or a question, I was able to look up the answer. Plus the writer is a CPA. He had some good advice about saving, investing, and lowering the tax bill.

I found this new self help personal accounting book to be extremely easy to follow and implement into my life. 2006 is going to be a great year for keeping my self on budget and financially organized!

When I've gone to lawyers to have paperwork done such as wills, I've had the idea that they have a standard form in their word processing system. First they talk to you (at $100+ per hour) and ask you a bunch of questions. I think your answers are used to fill in the blanks in their word processing system.

Now there are computer programs like this one that take a particular area of the law and produce the forms you need. This one is obviously oriented to wills (duh, look at the name), it includes legal wills, living trusts, health care directives (living wills) powers of attorney, final arrangements documents, and forms for executors. Because it is a commercial product, it has been produced to the highest possible standards (for fear of law suits).

Note: Do not use this product in Louisiana which bases its legal system on the Napoleanic code rather than English Common Law.

This is one of the finest pieces of software out there that allows you to quickly look up Bible references or to cross-ref.
with Commentaries and Strong's Concordance.

This software (QuickVerse 6.0 Deluxe) has got to be the best Christian resource tool I have ever purchased. This version includes 16 versions of the Bible (for cross-referencing translations) and 76 reference books. The reference books include the likes of Strong's Concorndance, Matthew Henry's commentary, Greek and Hebrew dictionaries, Ryrie's Study Bible notes, Scofield's Bible Study notes, Bible Dictionaries, Handbook of Apologetics, character studies, word studies, etc. The best thing is that the Bibles are directly linked to the other Bibles, commentaries, and concordances. So when you move in the bible window, the other open windows move too. Tons of search features, workbooks, sermon outlines, advanced note-taking features, bookmarks, fancy cut and paste options, custom schedule reading plans with progress bars, and more. A large monitor and fast procesor are helpful if you want numerous linked books open at one time. It will take about 1.3 gig to fit all of the books on your hard drive (preferred) or you will have to swap out various CDs as you open and search books. The universal search feature is also most convenient if you have all books on your hard drive. The Library Management feature allows you refernce the books from any number of hard drives of CD drives. Oh, did I mention the online links to many of the resources on the CDs, plus a subscription servicefor access to even more online books? I have essentially completed my library with this purchase.
