Haynes repair manual help me DIY my S-10 in FAR EAST-Taiwan

this book has helped me repair my S-10 on many a saturday.thanks guys.would like to see more on vacum lines need help there. i have three lines in back of model 220 tbi,cannot find one line .can you help.one to map ok.one to front of tbi.third ? 4.3,v-6 s-10 truck vin z. can you help?

i've used haynes almost exclusively starting with my dodge dakota, then subaru, honda accord, and i'll buy and use another for my dodge ramcharger. better for the home mechanic with no training - these books actually follow the service manuals for the vehicle. chiltons might do for the semi-trained mechanic, but i find hard to follow. no book will be perfect - this helps a half way smart home mechanic the best.

This is a must have manual for the do-it-yourself who needs assistance making repairs to your vehicle. I did find at least one error where the section number did not correctly list the page number for the problem.

I bought this manual for two reasons:
First, because the owners manual didn't describe in detail what should be greased as part of the regular maintenance.
Second, at some point I'll have mechanical problems with the truck and I wanted to have this manual on-hand when that happens.

I learned a lot from this manual relating to maintenace an inspection.
What I didn't expect was the tutorial on nut and bolt grades at the beginning of the book. It made for a good read ;)

If you are doing any driveline mods, lifting, or off-roading this is the book for you.

I have many automotive books and this is one of my best. It goes over almost every part of my chevy in great detail. The book covers 2 and 4 wheel drive in great accuracy. I would highly reccomend this book to a 1967-present GM truck owner.

everyone should read this book, if you ever plan to do the work on your own car. so the car dealers won,t rip you off!!

I fix my car often and have a few books about it, but none come close to the depth that Chiltons puts into their books. First I do have the Haynes repair guide, but it has very few pictures and does not explain in detail about how to remove some parts of your car. If you need to buy a repair manual for your car then buy Chiltons.

Long before the small block chevy hunted the streets, the GMC was the way to go. California Bill tells all. Fun to read, cool to browse, I'm always picking mine up. Turn up the way back machine Sherman and gaze at ancient speed parts offered by long forgotten manufacturers. It's an exact copy of the original and you don't have top worry about the binding falling apart. Very Cool.

Great manual as haynes always does. If you are a do it yourselfer or just want to learn all about your vehicle so you dont get hosed, this is the book. If you dont own alldata, this is the cheaper route and almost as good.

I've got a copy of this book and it is really helpful. The only thing is that you can go down to your local NAPA or parts house and get it alot quicker than from amazon, and probably cheaper too! I sure did. Amazon waited over a month to tell me this was not available through them after I ordered it. So my advice is to go through your local auto parts dealer or Barnes and Noble, definatelly NOT amazon.

I often find myself thumbing through the pages in an auto manual wondering where the pertinent information is, and why it's not where it should be, regarding the vehicle I'm working on. Back & forth, searching for that one informative paragraph. More often than not, it's not even there, or if it is, it's not where it should be. I occasionally borrow a Chiltons Manual on GM Pickups from a friend, & find it hard to return it. I rarely use any other if I have his. So I've decided to purchase my own. Now I know I'll have the information I need to get the job done. In 1969, I was given a Chiltons Manual in high school as a gift after completing an Auto Mechanics course. I still have it & use it often when working on the older cars so I know I will always have the info I need, right where it should be. I wouldn't use anything else, because I've tried them & there's absolutely no comparison. Chilton's is the only way to go.

This is the most delectable book you will ever read! It has 235 pages filled with beautiful photos of presidents and first ladies, furnishings, anecdotes, and best of all, mouth-watering recipes spanning from President Washington to Reagan. It tells charming stories about the president's lives, has photos of their homes, state china, copies of hand written letters, and beautifully set dinner tables. Each chapter has a lovely picture of the president and his first lady. It really is a delightful book filled with history -- and those recipes -- along with colored photos of the prepared food -- china and all! It is well worth purchasing. I recommend it highly (can't you tell!) Bon appetite!
