The book is an interesting look into the mini. It looks accurately into how it was formed and it's progress. But it mainly focuses on it's variations and different coach built models and vehicle brought out to replace it, none of which have manage to yet. Overall it is a brilliant book although it could have included more on Alec Isigonez.

This book is a compilation of auto enthusiast magazine articles from the past, and thus it offers an insight into what was expected from a car. AMC was always the small fish in a big pond, surviving only by filling market niches that the BIG THREE ie GM, Ford, and Chrysler ignored. Had it not been for the foreign import invasion from Europe and especially Japan, AMC would likely still be around today. But the small Kenosha, Wisconsin company barely managed to compete against it's Detroit cousins, and the import onslaught was the final nail in the coffin. Still, one has to wonder what a 2008 Ambassador, Matador, Hornet, Javelin, Rebel, and especially Pacer might have looked like !!

This book provides the reader with factory paint codes and descriptions for American cars built from 1945-95. It is particularly valuable for car restorers/collectors who are in the process of repainting their car and need to know the correct color. A restored car is always worth more if it is painted in the original factory color.

This book is a wonderful resource for any fan of the automobile. The late Leon Mandel was truly a man who loved his work.

A great buy for a great colorful book of all the 50s Classics. Chevy's, Ford's, Chrysler's, Buick's, Pontiac's, they're all in this book in gorgeous color photographs. Wonderful background stories on all the makes fact filled with interesting anecdotes. A must for any 50s Car enthusiast! Well presented and easy reading.

Brian did a really good job digging up old time stories and pictures to blend with the modern day. A nice read with those great old snap shots to go with it. Anyone that is into old tractors will love it. One other nice thing is that unlike most other books this one, published by Krause Publications, is printed here in the USA.
