The second edition has been produced and printed. It used the advancements in the printing process to provide the reader with better reproductions of orignal photographs of these truly classic cars.

I own this book and have referred to it twice in the past ten years while navigating the bowels of car dealerships to purchase cars and I have also loaned it out to (car-buying) friends who were thrilled to learn the ins and outs of wheeling and dealing cars. The author is witty and smart and the text is a quick, informative read! I recommend anyone in the market for a used, new or leased car to read this book!

This guy's got it all right: content, brevity, package, and delivery. In 94 pages, Hanley has managed to do what countless other car-buying books fail to do with three times the length. And in concise, humorous, plain language. This is an incredibly easy, fast and enjoyable read. One thing is certain: If you don't know how to buy a car - with or without trade-in, rebate, low financing, whatever - for the lowest cost possible by the time you've finished this book, you probably never will. A perfect 10.

This book is essential for anyone performing a restoration on or buying a DB4-6. The author is extremely knowledgable, having owned a number of Astons including some real clunkers. Not only does he know what to look for in terms of originality but his knowledge of what can go wrong makes this book a buyers guide in addition to an aid to restoration.

As usual in the "Original" serie, the author goes through every possible detail of the various cars, covering the models: DB4, GT, Zagato (including the Sanction II re-edition), DB5 and DB6, with the Convertible, Volante and Vantage variations, plus the Estate conversions and the Lagonda Rapide (? not sure about the name) which shared the same chassis with the DB serie.

The only proper definition for the book is ANAL... it is! every little aspect, down to the correct colors for the distribution wires, is covered. That's why is the DEFINITIVE guide if you intend to buy a DB and have it restored to the showroom conditions, or check if what you're about to buy is what's claimed to be.

now, if the author would kindly give me a DB4 Series I as a present for this excellent review, I'd be extremely grateful! :-)

If you can ever manage to find a copy of this book - it is well worth the time, trouble and headache of tracking it down.

It doubles as both a perfect coffee table piece and a good visual reference manual.

Though many Healey purists will argue the merits and authenticity of some of the entries, no one can deny the fact that this is one of the more essential written works about the Healey - that is a must have for owner and innocent bystander alike.

It's a great introduction in the world of the Austin-Healey.

Full of history, production details, and well done photographs, this is a book for Healey owners and Healey lovers. The author is arguably the authority on Austin Healeys. If you want just one book on Healeys, this should be it.

You should always start with the workshop manual, as a practical guide to all the technical stuff. But this is the next book if you are starting from a pile of bits. It will show you what the final result should look like. It contains many good tips, and its attention to detail is terrific. This book and the workshop manual, and a good parts catalogue (with the exploded drawings) are all you will ever need.

The perfect restorers guide. It's hard to find something about originality which isn't noted in this book. A ,must, for the purist ! With this book and a part catalogue, you are able to finish the perfect restoration.

As I bought the edition catering for 1964-1/2 to 1966 Mustangs I coudnt wait for this edition.It was worth the wait.This book was better than expected.

Beautiful colour hotographs throughout do this book justice and the text is detailed so its an informative and factual.

If you love Original Mustangs then this book will please most people.It maintains the standards that this book series are known for.

A must have for the collector of these great cars. It will be gone back to again and again.

I found this book to be an excellent source of information for any GTO enthusiast. It has a great combination of numerical facts and figures, little known facts and restoration information, and plenty of photos of GTO's from the common driven restored cars right up to the rarest nut and bolt restored examples. It does a good job of pointing out some of the differences in correct original restorations and driver quality restorations. I have a number of GTO books, and this one has the best balance of just about all of them, and it covers all years thoroughly. If you are doing a full restoration on a car, this book will not give you the extensive detail of the GTO Restoration Guide, but it does contain a lot of great information that you won't find in some of the other GTO books available, and it's presented in a very polished format.

This is a comprehensive, balanced history of an American legend in the world automoble industry. All aspects of the company are examined, from automobile to marine and aircraft engines. In addition the commercial divisions of Packard are examined. Anyone who wishes to discover an extraordinary review of a motorcar company whose own history reflects changing attitudes and methods of American marketing strategy successes and failures will have a wonderful read. This pictures are excellent and broadly representative of the wondrous products that this pioneering company presented to the world..

If you love Packards this is a must have book. Clearly the most complete book regarding all things Packard. Photos are representative of the different era of production up to the last model of this great automobile builder. A balanced mix of facts and story so that the true Packard nut can find technical facts to his(or her)heart's content and the casual reader will not be bored with them.

The guide is acurate and covers most every trail in the Banff, Jasper Yoho and Kooteny National Parks.

I grew up in Banff and bought this book a couple of years ago while visiting my parents. I lived there for 18 years and found things close to Banff that I didn't even know existed i.e. Silverton Falls. Every summer I visit my parents (still in Banff) and plan our family's "adventures" with this book. This is the one book I recommend to everyone who is planning to visit Banff!
