One heck of a book! It tells you everything you need to know. The "Concept Cars" book gives you tons of information on the classic, modern, and future concept cars. Each time you turn the page, its a different car. This book explains everything that you need to know, like how fast, or the car's history, it even tells you size, and seating positions, this book even tells you what the car's body is made up of. Like I said, there is everything there is to know about these cars in this book. I recomend this book because it gives alot of information, and also because I enjoy reading about cars. There is a total of 94 pages with many pictures and information. Read this book and you'll be one happy customer!

Concept Cars is an exceptional book! The cars are stunning. The book includes cars like a Dodge Copperhead, a Chrysler Atlantic, a Smart Car, and many other awesome vehicles. Concept Cars has interesting facts to offer and cars that you probably couldn't have dreamed of. If you want some information on some really radical cars, this is the book that you want to read! If you don't want to spend a lot for the real car, this is the next best thing!

My wife hates this book, but I absolutely love it. I grew up with the "Rat Fink" and reading this book was like reliving my younger days. Big Daddy tells his secrets about the Rat Fink cartoons and the hot rods that he made. I bought my copy from the Big Daddy himself and he autographed it for my son. My son did not even have a clue about a "Rat Fink" was but he wanted to buy one of the t-shirts. He thought they were "awesome". For you old timers like me, thats "groovy".

Big Daddy Roth was the maestro of hot rod car art who subverted the values of a whole generation of youngsters now just coming into power. The art and imagery in this book reflects a mindless rebelliouness that was inspiring to some and vulgar and threatening others. This book highlights his whole persona in brilliant fashion. Without doubt this book is the coolest with a capital K!

My grandson now has all of the books in this series and has had his mommy read them so many times that he has them memorized. Although he is only three, he sits and "reads" the books word for word. Amazing Machines is an amazing series with bright colors and lots of kid friendly information.
The rhyming phrases are easy for little ones to say and understand.

My boys love all of Tony Mitton's books... and this one is no exception. The illustrations are colorful and fun. The rhyming text is up-beat, as well as informative.

Wonderful history of these fascinating and beautiful autos. I'd always heard anecdotes of how the Cord was a lovely but mechanically troubled car and this history provides all the details you could ask for. The author must have spent years assembling notes and details to make this book such a comprehensive masterpiece. If you want to know the Cord 810 & 812 story look no further!

This book is highly recommended for a totally insightful view of the times and situation(s) that led to the creation of what was a futuristic all-out artistic object that occurred because of the right things being in the right place at the right time. The fact that the subject matter just happens to be an automobile is secondary to the author's placement of people and events which conspired to let these events occur in the first place, yielding a beautiful work of U.S. industrial art.

Corporate Power, American Democracy and the Automobile Industry is a must read for anyone who wants to go deeper than "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" into the automania that is America. My boyfriend eats, sleeps, and breathes everything Corvette. He goes to the shows. He's worked at a Vette shop. His dad drives a 78 PC. And he LIVES for Corvette trivia. He knows more little facts about Corvettes than most people know about anything. So this book really put me in his good graces! The book has a list of options associated with each year, some little facts (like '63 was the only year for the split window), and production numbers. It also has photographs for the technologically impaired, like me, so I can look at one and at least guess which generation it is. He's been through it cover to cover, keeps it within arm's reach, so he can flip through it and confirm facts or prove to me that some TV show or website is wrong. He LOVES this book, and he's pretty picky about all things Corvette.

Great book to get an overview of particular corvette models - and what should be on each car. Also points out potenetial liabilities with each model year. Appendix at end of book is very useful to determine originality of parts/car - as well as a list of available options. Does not have a pricing guide, but does include a price list for common replacement parts. I would recommend this along with a pricing guide to help search for the perfect vette!

This is hands-down the finest book ever written on this subject. Anyone who would buy a Corvette from that era without buying this book first is out of his mind.

I am finding this book very informative on the 3rd generation Corvette. It has excellent detailed information on what to be aware of when considering the purchase of a 1968-1982 Corvette or just to enhance your knowledge of the C3.

of the Grand Sport Corvette. This book has some fascinating ancedotes about the development and racing of these rare machines. It also has some of the most detailed photographs of this era of racing I've ever seen. If you need a reference for the Grand Sport, this book is well worth the money (and the wait - it took almost six weeks to arrive). It covers all five of the Grand Sports build by Chevrolet and follows them through their lifetime, even including some beautiful color pictures of the restored cars in modern times. I absolutely recommend this book for any fan of Corvettes, the Grand Sport, or just the racing of that period in history.

If this book even slightly interests you, don't think about it just buy it. The huge amount of historical photos and data is immense and immersive. You have to see it to believe it, just buy it!

If what you are searching for is a book which will give you a detailed understanding of the second generation "Stingray", this is an excellent choice of reading and research material. The book starts with a basic overview of the Corvette and a solid foundation for understanding how the "shark" bodied cars fit into the evolution of this uniquely American automobile. You begin a more indepth look at the 68-82 Corvette with some of the prototypes which lead to the production model. The book then walks you thru a living history and evolution of the "C3" type Corvette. But more than a brief overview, Mike Mueller provides a detailed study of the car presented in a coherent and logical fashion. The reader comes away with an intimate knowledge of the changes and developement of this car on a year to year basis. This is a quality printed book containing many excellent pictures from General Motors archives, illustrative diagrams and original beauty photographs displaying breath taking shots of exceptional examples of Corvettes. This is a comprehensive and complete body of material in one volume which would be an excellent addition to any Corvette library. It is an excellent book for both the hard core "Vette" owner wishing to have information about his or her car in their collection of Corvette literature or the casual auto buff looking for a bit of information to round out their knowledge of a very interesting and exciting period in the history of a true American automotive icon.
