These cards are useable as postcards (of course), but they also make great bookmarks for yourself, or enclosed with a book you are giving to a friend. Matte and frame them, and you'll have a gorgeous display that will thrill any nostalgia buff.
What a bargain!

If you want to know,Review Date: 2001-07-03
I met Bill Gibson before his book hit the shelves. I found him to be a reserved man, with an underlying sense of humor; only mentioning to me, he had a book coming out about his career as a professional photagrapher in the Navy. I asked him if he liked it on the Merrimac; oddly, he hardly speaks to me lately.
All jest aside, I'm not giving Bill's book five stars in order to be on speaking terms again, or for the rebate promised on my copy. Bill Gibson's "No Film In My Camera", will entertain all generations, and surely enlighten the younger; although parental guidance is suggested.
Bill brings us his personal perspective to major events and eminent icons of our history, with humor and dashing flair. Particularly dashing, when caught sunbathing on Enyu island.(One of the reasons for the PG rating.)
As I read, I couldn't help but envy his life, and imagine myself a member of his crew, partaking in the adventure.
Now that I've read the book, I find Bill to be a reserved man, with an underlying obsession for insane risk, and his humor a little less subtle, especially when I can talk him into a martini. BUY THIS BOOK, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Cantankerous hero will grow on youReview Date: 2000-05-03
Riley knows that her grandfather, a famous oceanographer, did not cause the fatal accident that destroyed his vessel. However, when a corpse turns up near his home, he is suspected of worse -- he is suspected of murder.
Somehow, Riley persuades the reclusive John Straker to help her clear her grandfather. Or maybe he's simply coming along to keep her out of trouble...
This book shows what can happen when you combine a mystery with strong secondary characters. You get a much better mystery that way.
The hero and heroine started out on the wrong foot, and it took them a while to catch up. Though there was lots of sexual tension, I missed the witty banter I was expecting from a Carla Neggers book.
I gave this book a B at All About Romance.
Good blend of romance and mysteryReview Date: 2000-06-16
I enjoyed most the setting of Boston north to the coast of Maine. Carla Neggers has it down pat. The oceanographic setting for the story was one I'd not read before and I found it very interesting.
The tape's reader was excellent in that she was able to assume so many different voices, which I think is essential in a multi-character story. If there was one drawback it was that she dropped her voice too much at the end of many sentences, making it difficult to understand unless the volume was cranked up high. That aside, I would definitely try another of Ms. Neggers books on tape.

I recommend this book to anyone getting back into playing on their own or an experienced musician.
A helpful resource on Flute MethodReview Date: 2006-11-25
I refer to the information in the tone section more than any other. The other 'books' in the omnibus were a bit sparse in terms of content. I am glad I spent under 30.00usd on the omnibus instead of buying each book individually.
For those musicians with a sense of humor, the writing style of the author is quite fun to read. His discussions are loaded with flute-specific musings, puns, and other subtle rhetoric. His writing style is ingenious...and a relief from the overly serious disctionary style we usually encouter in method publications.

I'm really glad I picked up The Principles of Love because its a wonderful book starting out the series. Love's life is interesting and relatable in many different aspects. I gave this book five stars for a reason and readers should definitely give it a read.
The Principles of LoveReview Date: 2008-07-10
Cute book! One massive complaint before moving on to details--the font. I hate being so nitpicky, but ugh, could there be a smaller, tougher-to-read font? Quite frankly, that's the only reason I'm docking a star, because sometimes, it just gets really hard to read, no matter how interesting the book is, when your head's throbbing from squinting at the pages.
Now on to specifics. I have a lot to talk about with the names. Obviously, the first name to discuss would be Love's. How amazing is that? I really want to name my kid Love or something like it now, that's got to be the prettiest name ever, and it suits her, too! Oh, the irony of it all, right? Another name: Robinson. Is it just me, or is the bad guy always named Robinson? And third, Jacob. Jacob, Jacob, Jacob. Anyone else seeing the horrible Jacob Black parallels here? He's the other guy, the friend. Kind of awesome.
Plot stuffs. Love's got the coolest Dad in the world, seriously. I would definitely love to see more about her mom, and seeing as we've now got a box of her letters, I think I'd bet we're about to learn more, and I'm excited. I totally saw the DrakeFan thing coming wayyyy early, it was pretty obvious that it was Jacob. I did not, however, see Love and Jacob together, although I thought they were adorable. You knew Robinson was the bad guy, the first guy, the 'lust' guy, he's always a bad guy, at least in the YAs.
The cultural references were stunning. Could it get any more Gilmore Girls than this? LOVE it.
I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought I'd like this book a lot less than I did, and envisioned, God forbid, something more like "Prep". Glad that was disproved. Highly looking forward to the rest of the series!
