EveryBody: Preventing HIV And Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases Among Young Teens is specifically designed to be a research-based HIV/STD education curriculum resource for parents, clinicians, educators, and counselors working with youth in urban, suburban, and rural settings. EveryBody offers 24 sequential student-centered activities with guiding questions, step-by-step directions, assessment measures and lesson extensions. There are six chapters with up-to-date information on HIV, STDs, and other related topics, as well as activities are correlated to national Science and Health Education Standards. EveryBody focuses on developmentally appropriate risk elimination (abstinence) and risk reduction strategies, while respecting the beliefs and concerns held by young teens, their families, and communities. EveryBody is a very highly recommended and effective addition to school, health clinic, and teen center based health counseling programs and initiatives.

I have been fortunate to watch Deborah teach the curriculum presented in this fine book. It is remarkably clear and has demonstrable effect on the students. The book will guide any teacher interested into active, hands-on learning about HIV and other STDs into successful learning experiences.
