With the easy guidelines presented in the book, the process of selecting a house with average feng shui compared to a house with good feng shui is simplified. Once again, Joey Yap has manage to relate the contents of the book to new home buyers or even just for anyone who intends to pick up feng shui, these two books (Interior and Exterior) is a good place to start.
Highly recommended! Kudos!

Perfect Gift for those that want to make a change in their relationships!Review Date: 2008-01-17
I have had the opportunity of working with her on a personal training level, and liked her outlook on life, it's challenges, and how you can take a "bad" situation and use that as a springboard to find your "CHE."
This book is a great gift for those around you that are in a "rut." I like the different chapters, all written by different authors. It gives a different perspective and anyone who picks up this book will relate to at least one, if not more, of the chapters in this quick and easy ready!
I keep it in the bag I carry with me. Anytime I need a break from the stress, or just need a "pick me up" I refer to one of the chapters. I like the different writing styles, the book is written from their experiences, while at the same time keeps it "real" without getting too "clinical."

As an alternative practitioner (I'm an ethnopharmacist, a clinical and natural pharmacist, president/founder of the Student Rainforest Fund and pharmacy specialist for World Health Mission), always trying to be more intuitive, you gave me useful tools and plenty of food for thought. I particularly like your sentence at the end of page 66, "in short our greatest cures will come from honesty, compassion and love." Great words. I find them working wonders in my practice and in my life as I've tried to adopt them more. The great sage RUMI says on page 70, "so necessitious one, increase your need." How profound! but someday if mankind can tryly follow the 'path' to enlightenment then the "need" of doing anything will vanish, there will be no 'doing,' and all that remains will be the 'being.' Thanks for the lesson.

MIDWEST BOOK REVIEWReview Date: 2003-05-31
Pastor
Hagin shares with the reader his actual death, leaving his body and coming to the gates of Hell. Talk about scary!
He
speaks of his early walk with the Lord and begins to share with the reader many visions and visitations he has had with Jesus
Himself. Sound fishy? Not on your life!
I can only tell you this. Through the years I have studies under teachings of Pastor Hagin and know of His knowledge of God's Word and his relationship with Jesus. The man would never disrespect the Lord by telling something that never occurred.
If you are interested in the supernatural, you need to turn to this book for a
healthy dose.
You will learn much about the Lord and His Word and how to apply it to your life. I loved this book! It
was great!
Caution: Reading this book could change your LIFE forever!Review Date: 1999-11-17
Good book recognizing visions; don't base theology on themReview Date: 2002-09-04
Hagin relates several visions that the Lord has given him that influenced his life and ministry. Some no doubt are valid. But what some have done is hold up the visions that one man has had to substantiate theology or certain teaching. This is dangerous.
For instance, for many years I held to a certain belief even though scripture seemed to teach the opposite; but because Hagin had the vision, I assumed that Hagin was right and who am I to argue with that? Thank God, since then I have changed.
Hagin no doubt has been influenced by these visions and has used them to authenticate some of what he teaches. There is no problem with this perse, but no matter if an angel from heaven appeared to him, the final teaching that Hagin puts out has to be judged by scripture NOT by the visions that Hagin had. (After all, we have a more sure word of prophecy and we did not have the visions. Hagin did.)
In summation, good book but be aware that these are one man's visions which must be judged by scripture.

New Approach with Practical ApplicationReview Date: 2004-08-08
Sapir introduces a paradigm for business solution development in which the knowledge worker is empowered to meet their core, day-to-day IT needs with a dramatic decrease in reliance upon the IT Department. Sapir demonstrates that the technology required to permit a non-technical knowledge worker to design complex business solutions without dependence upon IT currently exists. The missing key is the actual paradigm itself - the visualization and user-interface that actually provides the end-user with the ability to develop such solutions. In this book, Sapir offers a revolutionary, and yet easy-to-understand, solution to this problem, with what he refers to as Personal Service Builders or PSB's.
The impact of the application of PSB's to software development is tremendous, bringing solutions to end-users faster, at lower cost, with less intrusive business practice integration, higher business logic adaptability, lower cost of ongoing system maintenance and longer system lifespan.
The argument for the PSB metaphor is suscinct and convincing. The impact PSB's will have on the corporations that are advanced-thinking enough to adopt them is made clear. In the end, the reader is left anxious to see this new technology at work and try his own hand at building complex solutions to complex problems at a fraction of the cost and time to market.
Power to the people!Review Date: 2004-08-02
He makes a very compelling case for both the wisdom of taking this course and the possibility of it happening. Rather than viewing IT as a separate department, he sees IT as "everybody's business." He points to case after case of business inching this way since the dawn of the Information Age, all leading to the day in the not too distant future when all the pieces are in place and it's a done deal.
The book is an easy yet compelling read, loaded with references from business gurus and examples of the conditions that are leading us to this inevitible conclusion. Sapir has a gift for taking all the little pieces and pulling them together to show the big picture.
Another IT industry milestone is approaching...Review Date: 2004-06-17

Writing (and Living) Your Own ScriptReview Date: 2007-08-10
On the premise that we create our own destinies by changing our core beliefs about ourselves, beliefs based on what we absorbed from birth to age five, Brooke shows us how to write our own screenplay for our lives based on self motivation (enthusiasm, courage, persistence, creativity) to create a vision of what we want to be and then how to daily review our progress in attaining the persona we want to be. It may sound simplistic, but once the reader becomes involved in Brooke's supportive, friendly, yet demanding 'program' the book leads us through, it is difficult to imagine how we could fail, so committed is his tutelage.
Of all the 'self help' books on the market, this little volume is for this reader the most easily digested and, more importantly, the most solid formula for achieving success in finding and becoming the person we want to be. In the back of the book Brooke lists pages of quotations from Shakespeare to Gandhi, giving a bow to Don Miguel Ruiz' book 'The Four Agreements' - his closest 'competitor' in this arena. MACH II WITH YOUR HAIR ON FIRE is a book to keep on the desk, at the bedside, or anywhere it might be readily available for brush-up reading to assure the reader stays on the path that Brooke assures us will lead to success and happiness. It is terrific reading! Grady Harp, August 07

Technically informative and filled with useful adviceReview Date: 2003-01-03
I thought I knew all the handy tricks until I read Chapter 9, "Making the Home Eye Friendly." After helping my mother deal with her legal blindness for ten years, I thought I knew all the practical hints for coping with macular degeneration. Now I'm in the early stages of the disease and welcome the many new ideas I found in The Macular Degeneration Source Book. Some of my favorites are to always carry a flashlight and to put glow-in-the-dark tape on stairtreads, doorknobs--and all those flashlights.
But the book offers more than handy tips. Retinal surgeon Bert Glaser follows a logical progression starting with an explanation of what happens to the eye affected by macular degeneration, with drawings that illuminate the text. Then he describes the various types of macular degeneration. The importance of testing and getting a diagnosis from qualified doctors is emphasized. Treatments for various types of MD are discussed in an understandable style. A list of risk factors is followed by life style changes that can help reduce risk. The book does not over-promise results while offering a positive, upbeat approach throughout.
Useful features in the back of the book include a list of resources-websites, organizations, catalogs, software, and vision products-a glossary of terms, and an index.

The diagnosis of AMD can be devastating, but with information like The Macular Degeneration Source Book, patients and their families can deal with the challenge. Written by a leading macular degeneration specialist, it contains accurate medical information and lists current research.
