We borrowed this book from the Library and our 9 month old loved it so much we decided to buy it. Two months later and it
is still one of her favorites. She would bring us the book, put it on the floor, and start clapping. It's a great book that
I would recommend to anyone with young children.

My one-year old LOVES this book! She acts out what the babies are doing on every page -- putting on a "hat", making believe
to brush her hair and teeth, clapping her hands, and waving "bye-bye". She is so proud of herself! I highly recommend this
book.

My Ballykissangel books arrived on spring break from college and I was thrilled to have the time to "devour" them. The characters
are so genuine and lovable- I can't wait for the next book to continue the heartwarming journey of a rural village that has
become like family to me. Thank you to the writers for a delightful tale.

If you have seen every episode of year one, you will find nothing new. However, if you haven't taped all the shows and watched
them three times over you will enjoy going back a wee bit in time to rural Ireland--the Ireland without bombs and the IRA.
A delightful place to spend your spare time.

This is a rhyming book about the bears in the family and what they do, like sing, lick bowls, and pick plums. It provides
a nice review of the names of family relationships. It's not at all scary. It has about 80 words.

This has been my daughter's favoite book since she received it as a gift when she was 7 months old. She has stacks and stacks
of other baby board book, including all the classics like "Goodnight Moon," and this is always the one she pulls out and wants
to hear me read. She seems to love the illustrations, which are whimsical, very colorful and glossy, as well as listening
to the sweet story. The fact that the book is a little larger than what seems to be the standard board book size also seems
to appeal to her. I highly reccommend this book!

I love this pamphlet. It describes in beautiful language, from the author's soul, what it means to make decisions at an
unprogrammed meeting's business meeting.
The way we members of the Religious Society of Friends reach decisions is one of the most important contributions we have made to the establishment of the "Peaceable Kindom" here on earth.
Of course, Friends don't always acheive the process we yearn for and even agree to follow. We are human beings, after all. Yet, we have aspirations that Barry Morely has explained better than anyone else I have ever heard or read.
Some Friends feel that loving the Quaker Meeting for Business is one of the signs that you should be a member! :) Barry can tell you why!
I agree with the previous reviewer that this is well worth reading. After all, the most important "invention" that we Friends actually have created and agree to us to help us be Seekers after the Truth together, is our process, process and more process.

This is perhaps the most worthwhile pamphlet in all of Quaker Literature. It should be required reading by all new seekers.
... It describes a Quaker
'sacrament' (if you will), and the real meaning involved when a meeting seeks 'the sense of the meeting'. It is beautiful.

Technical books for the general reader must balance effectively accuracy, depth, and complexity on the one hand and readability
at several levels on the other. This book succeeds at doing that about as well as any I have ever read, and I read a lot of
books that try. The reader can use the numerous appendices to go into as much technical detail (within limits, this is an
intro) as s(he) wants while the general discussion illuminates the mechanics and brief history of radar and sonar as well
as the always-fascinating means by which bats, dolphins and whales do it better than we do. The author knows his material
cold, but in addition, he makes it extremely accessible and pleasant to read. For those who want more, he provides plenty
of pointers to plenty more. He's the kind of guy, you decide at the end, you would love to run into at the coffee shop for
more conversation.
An Approachable Technical Overview of Remote Sensing

Books on technical subjects can be broadly divided into three main categories: (i) very basic in its descriptions with many
historical and biographical snippets but with no mathematics or formulas, (ii) significantly more advanced in technical content
with formulas - a possible supplement to a textbook on the subject, and (iii) very advanced such as a textbook or a research
paper. I would place this book in the second category. The author's expertise in this field is very obvious through the clarity
with which the principles behind radar and sonar are explained. Technical notes at the back of the book, 23 of them, provide
more in-depth information for the interested reader on certain technical details. Remote sensing by bats, dolphins and whales
is also discussed. The writing style is clear, friendly, authoritative, very witty - a most pleasant feature in a technical
book, and quite accessible, although some passages need serious concentration. I learned quite a bit from reading this book
but I would benefit even more from re-reading certain sections since this subject, at this level of technical detail, is so
new to me. This book would likely of most interest to science buffs.

A Timeless Management Book

This is what I would call a timeless masterpiece. Dan Thomas creates a sense of what it takes to create a winning business
model so you can poise yourself for growth. This is a reeningeering type of book, however, it does not seem to tell you to
pair down your business to bare bones.
I had the pleasure of hearing Dan Thomas speak when I was with a division of Lucent Technologies. What he said was applied from the GM on down and that particular division although now a different name and company is still in business doing what it does as a main business with a name that is recognized in its particular industry.
Business Sense makes sense. It is a must read for those who liked books like "Who Moved My Cheese" and "Never Eat Alone."

After I have been through many consulting and strategy courses, Dan reveals a simple approach to help improve your business.
I feel the book is rather dense, so don't expect to get through it in a night. Dan says a manager have 5 freedoms that a manager/
ceo can control: 1)choosing the right business, 2) right strategy 3)right systems, 4)right structure 5)right people. After
knowing some successful consultants, this book goes further than most have taught me. Dan reveals his consulting strategies
that apparently have put his services in high demand. Powerful knowledge.
