This book is very well-written and informative, promotes critical thinking, has a very high visual impact, and is by far the most interesting and impressive sociology book I have ever seen.

This book gives a clear concept of solid-phase synthesis.
Good for beginner in this area. It also gives a lot of information including examples in some interesting application in the real synthesis.

This book has everything and more that an RN needs to pass their meds. The front has a fold out IV med interaction chart, followed by a listing of hundreds of pills with pictures of each.The first half of the book is all the drug classes, the second half is an alphabetical listing. Also, this book is slightly larger than most pocket guides and it seems to stay open and be more readable than those narrow pocket guides-besides who actually keeps their drug guide in their pocket-mine stays on the med cart. And like the other Springhouse books like the MED-SURG, it's got more info packed into it than most books twice it's size.

When the expiration date on a drug passes, the pharmacist must destroy the items that exceed their shelf life. In a clinical trial, drugs stored for use in the trial can exceed their self life and then must be destroyed. Since the late 1980s the FDA requires that stability testing be conducted to establish the self life of a drug. Products discovered to be ubnstable have been taken off the market. Therefore, stability testing is an important part of the early phase statistical analysis of a new drug. Yet in my nearly five years of experience as a clinical trials statistician in the pharmaceutical industry I was only once (and only just recently) confronted with the issue. We had a drug that started phase III but in the course of the trial some of the stored samples decame unstable and the trial was put on hold. As the manufacturer of the product we had make changes to ensure that moisture did not get into the vials to ruin the mixture. We were motivated to fix the problem quickly and get the trial restarted. However bioavailability and stability needed to be reestablished. I learned that we used very rudimentary and in accurate tools to estimate the stability from the test batches. This meant the during the trial we could only claim a minimal shelf-life and the drug could be wasted because of the need to destroy it before it "really" expired. So it was with pleasure and excitement that I bought this book.

Professor Chow has authored, co-authored and edited books on every aspect of the statistics of drug development. As usual he is very thorough in his presentation of the topic, the FDA and ICH rules and guidelines and the development of the various options for statistical analysis. This is another in the long series of publications by Dr. Chow and his colleagues. He is always at the forefront being the first or one of the first to present new statistical methods or applications to the biopharmaceutical community. A book that is a must for the bookshelf of any biopharnaceutical statistician!

This is a great book and an excellent presentation of Stability Theory for those working in the pharmaceutical industry. It is a great reference book on applied statistical methods that all professionals working in this field should have on hand. It is by far the best book on stability theory, validations, process controls,(and applied statistics in general) that I have read.

One of the best guides for students interested in a pharmacy career and getting into pharmacy school. This book is highly recommended!

Actually one of the best marketing book applied for good sales. Nothing special but everything is in. Very well presented, comprehensive, and straightforward to the point. Can actually work for any product than a medical one.
And a very nice way to present it : drawings, slides etc..
This person is a master in marketing and that's why his book is very good as well and this is why I paid the (high)price!!! the book itself is a good marketing lesson as a product, then take a look at it twice...

but the content is excellent. For an practicing organic chemist learning medicinal chemistry, I have read/browsed many books, and have settled on this one and Wermuth's "The Practice..." as my 'A-team'.

Unfortunately, the paperback binding will crack & quickly compromise the retention of the pages, but that is not the authors fault. The content is what matters & if you are an Organic Chemist & want to learn Med Chem, I would strongly suggest you start here. I would compare this to the 'Burger' of the old days, before it became an unaffordable encylclopedia.

I have seen many books on medicinal chemistry, but this book is an outstanding publication. It covers all chemistry, pharmacology, history and approach to new drug design. It gives complete information required for a scientist.

This is the best book for medicinal chemistry.
