Dr. Varnas writes a preventative health care book that's down-to-earth, and easy to understand. I also like that it's structured so you could read a few pages on a subject of your choice (water, sinus, etc.) and get a small dose of great info without having to read the whole book at once. His sense of humor also makes the book an easy read. His suggestions are not expensive, and easy to integrate into a busy life. He also simply explains the 'why' behind the suggestion. A great resource that I can pick up to get good reminders over and over.

I've been aware of Jasmuheen's work of living on light and teaching others how to do so for about 10 years. But I finally bought this book of hers and read it cover to cover. Her work and insight truly burst the scientific/nuitrition paradigm bubble we've been living in since the dawn of recorded history. I've also seen a video presentation of Jasmuheen's key note speech made to the IONS convention a few years back. At that time she'd not been eating or drinking for 8 years. She is a vibrant, energetic and dynamic person and a spell-binding speaker.

This book is excellent for all SLP's and OT's working with children and adults with DD's, sensory impairments, etc. You'll wear it out!

This is a very helpful reference book for those who take responsibility for their own health. It is easy to read, easy to find various conditions. Suggestions for diet (what TO EAT and what NOT TO EAT) as well as suppliments helpful and a choice of modalities. VERY WELL DONE.!

This text is excellent with history, citations, and informative facts about carbohydrates and diet. It helps explain why the commonly followed nutritional guidelines are flawed and how to better our diets.

The book helps me giving nutritional advice for my patients and for my own life. It was well written by a doctor/dentist.

I am an author of one of the chapter in this book. I read through other chapters of this book and found that they contain lots of good information about human aging process and treatments. We all know that not everybody will get certain types of diseases, but everybody will become old. Aging is a process that everybody will pass through. How to maintain health while we become old is the research mission of we scientists and physicians. I wish people will enjoy the most update information and discussion about aging and treatment in this book.

This book is very well organized to help you save time in the kitchen. Most of the recipes require few ingredients. The meals are good and the portion sizes are satisfying. One of the things I like most about the book is that the dishes are paired (entree, side, and dessert). I'm happy with this purchase. It's a book I will use again and again.

I found this book to be excellent. It has a no-bull approach to weightloss. It is practical and easy to use. It covers all subjects that a dieter would be concerned with. I have read most of the diet books and this one is the most easy to read and makes the most sense. I followed the instructions and have lost 3 pounds since starting this book.

It is not out of date and it still works in the year 2001!
