This therapy has been availabe for many years. It is not promoted by the pharmaceutical industries since the patents have expired on the chelation medications. I read this book after visiting the McDonagh clinic and hearing of excellent results from patients who traveled from Iowa, South Dakota, Tennessee and Florida. The book explains exactly how chelation works and why it is opposed by some who have no way to profit from it. My father was an M.D. who had good results from chelation therapy and it was literature similar to this book that got him interested in it.

This text is a summary of Mohs's experience from the early days. It gives great insight into the origin of Mohs surgery, especially the chemosurgery. It may still be the largest summary of the experience, broken into regions of the face and body. All Mohs surgeons need to read this book.

Chronic pelvic pain is perplexing to all gynecologists. The reason is that not all pelvic pain is straight forward. Cleft Craft is a 3 volume set written by Dr. Millard who developed many of the techniques used today in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. The set includes complete discussions on cleft lip, cleft palate, alveolar clefting and other more rare forms of facial clefting. It is well written, concise yet complete. Since the book was opriginally published in th e1950's some of the material is naturally outdated. However, the techniques described by Millard are still used today and his book remains an essential read for cleft lip and palate surgeons.

As someone who was faced with a new diagnosis for my daughter involving anatomical problems in her airway and palate, this book gave me all the right information I needed at the very beginning of my learning curve. I have continued to return to this book over and over as I have become more educated in the options available to my daughter and in bringing sense to what is, to me, an alien medical world.

This book also brought me two additional benefits that were a surprise. First of all, I grew to understand what to expect from those treating my daughter and realized who was the best local craniofacial team to work with.
