Regenetics Changed my Life and my Views

Review Date: 2009-02-09
When I first read about Regenetics and DNA activation through sound I did not entirely believe it could work. My degrees in Physics and Mathematics made me biased against things yet unconfirmed by mainstream science. However, because of my husband's serious illness (Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) we were pretty much willing to try anything.

I recommend this book because it opens the mind and helps you see the world in a new way. There is mounting scientific evidence that life on Earth is changing. Light frequencies coming from the sun are shifting as a result of the increases in the sun's magnetic field, among other things. The Earth's own magnetic field is changing. Conscious Healing presents interesting new conclusions for what this may all mean for our future.

My husband and I have completed 18 months of Regenetics which included Potentiation, Articulation and Elucidation. His health is restored and I'm feeling better than ever. Needless to say, my views of the world have changed considerably. I've been convinced through this very personal journey that DNA is in fact activated through sound.

This is a good read and fairly quick too. Make no mistake that it is a sales tool for the web site and the healing process available there. If you are looking for an instructional book this is not a book to buy. If you are open to some interesting research and insights into an interesting healing modality you will like what's here.
I rated it four stars because of the research references and Bibliography otherwise I would have given it a three.

There are no words to say that haven't already been said in regards to this momentous book. All I can say is the money spent was infinitely insignificant compared to the wealth offered within these trailblazing pages! Order the book, read the book, and start living life as it was meant to be lived!

If you want to understand the workings behind a man who created a very simple yet hopefully revolutionary Sate of the Art Medicine. If you like the book Future of the Body, then you will like this one. Even more so because it is so much shorter. I recommend both to anyone.

If you are familiar with the chakras, idea of experiencing your beliefs, and enlightenment, but are looking for a new kind of healing, this book wraps these ideas together in it's explanation of DNA. It presents scientific information in a readable and interesting way. It does not, however, offer techniques you can try on your own. The therapy described in the book must be performed by the author either in person or through his website.

I love this deck. This provides yet another way for you to connect with your angels. The "time to go, trustworthy guidance, and there's nothing to worry about" are some of the best cards in the deck. It really helps focus you what the divine has to say on your issue. I am really grateful she created these decks to connect with your angels. Because of her, many people feel closer to their angels. The positive imagery has helped many of my therapy clients.

I am a Christian. I thought it was against God to use any tool other than scripture and prayer to get what you need to answer life's conundrums. Then my Methodist Sunday school teacher had us study a book regarding the intuition of children (so not mainstream).

These cards, every single time I use them (pray first while holding them), give me precisely, exactly, immediately the explanation of what is going on around me that has my emotions or thoughts misdirected. I am going through what I considered a tragedy....my Angels have told me whenever I start feeling that way, that this is a "blessing in disguise." No matter what the concern, the 'big picture' will be right there in front of you.

This is a very useful way to "get" what God and His Angels are trying to tell you when you are unable to consciously do so. Highly recommended. Thank you to Ms. Virtue. DB

I love these cards they are such a beautiful thing!! It's hard to start talking to your Angels when you don't really know what to say. This was always my problem. The cards are an extremely useful tool to help me communicate with them. I've never had experience with cards or anything before and within a week of me having them I did a read for 3 other people, and it was completely accurate. =D Couldn't be any happier!!!

Not exactly what I expected.

I've been using the "Daily Guidance from Your Angels" oracle cards for about a month now, and it's amazing at how accurate the responses to my questions have been!

Doreen Virtue has done a wonderful job with this deck! The cards are clear and concise & they're beautiful too! And, if you ever pick a card that you're not sure about, she has included a small booklet with alternative explanations.

I've been using this deck in 2 ways - each morning I shuffle the cards while thinking of a question, when I feel it's time to stop shuffling I choose the top card and write down what it says in my day planner. I also do 3 card spreads, where I choose the top 3 cards to represent the immediate past, current & immediate future re: the question I'm asking.

As I said, I am amazed every day at just how accurate the guidance is - as of yet I've never had a situation where the cards I chose didn't make sense for the question at hand.

If you would like to communicate with your angels but just aren't sure how, or if you already speak with your angels but would like another avenue to do this, than this deck is for you!

I bought this book after experiencing a really rough day. I went to the bookstore to change my environment and shift my energy; this was the first book that I picked up and emanated an energy that shifted my own. I had not even opened the book yet! So I proceed to open the book and randomly choose a selection, and of course, it was exactly what I needed at that moment. Each selection is beautifully written, meditative, and thought provoking. I find reading these passages soothing, and the light colors and artwork are so precious. I've since bought numerous copies as gifts, which are always met with delight!

This is a book I read something from everyday. After I sit for a short while in the morning, with my coffee and my kittie, I speak with my angels, briefly, and ask for their message for the day. I then open the book to wherever, and that's my message.

It is extremely uplifting - and amazingly eerie, sometimes - as to how the messages address exactly what is on my mind that morning. This book has smoothed the way in a life that, for recent years, has seen much turmoil. For me, this book is very much a lifeline. And that's why I'm back here today - to order one for a friend who, even though she doesn't know it yet, is going to heal with the help of her angels.

Clearly, there is universal praise for this product... and rightly so. It's comprehensive, concise, and overall quite accurate.

I'm not trying to be overly critical by giving it four stars, but I do have a few minor gripes.

First of all, my biggest beef is that there are some inaccuracies in this book. Of course, I expect some mistakes in any book, but the inaccuracies are a little difficult to spot when the answers are given as unqualified truths. Unlike other USMLE review resources, there are no references given that would help the student check facts.

In addition, there are a fair number of poor style points that I would comment on. There are a lot of abbreviations that are actually quite distracting (e.g. "H/o", "W/u"). Also, many brand-name medications are used rather than the generic names that appear on the actual exam.

Finally, as you might expect, some of the clues are "guess what I'm thinking"-type questions. Albeit there are good teaching points in each of these clues, but this style does detract from learning.

This is the "First Aid" for Step 2.....

First thing first. I scored a 247 on Step 1. As many of you know that have taken the exam. The key is to know what to study for the exam since there is an infinite amount of information. Once you find the "tested" information you have to sit down and MEMORIZE. That is the key to these USMLE exams. For those that have trouble memorizing the necessary information, the best thing to do is to "do questions" so that way you can remember the key concepts. For Step 1 all you really need is First Aid for Step 1, Goljan audio, and Kaplan QBank + Qbook. That's it....

Now for Step 2 it is much different. First Aid is not as high yield as it is for Step 1. Even if you had First Aid for Step 2 in the exam room with unlimited time there will be information that is NOT IN THE BOOK. First Aid lives off of its Step 1 reputation.

For Step 2, I scored a 241. Which isn't spectacular BUT I studied for the exam during my interview season in January. I studied for 3 weeks. I memorized this book and did USMLE World questions. That is all you need. Most of the high yield information that is TESTED is not found in First Aid. Use your time wisely. My advice is to memorize this book, Step 2 Secrets, and do ALL of the questions (and read every answer explanation) in USMLE World. Keep in mind though there will still be questions that you have never seen but these will be fewer and far between if you use the "right" resources. Good Luck.

Highly recommended for Step 2

This book is an excellent adjunct to use in studying for Step 2 CK. By challenging you with a gut-reaction recall type format, you will actively learn and reinforce important topics and associations. It's best used for a quick review in the final days of Step 2 studying to refresh your memory of all the high yield associations.

WOW Introduction to the Mind-Body Connection

This book is a WOW! I picked it up because I love reading about medicine, but I quickly found out this book goes way beyond that! It is a fascinating read about medicine, but in a different way! It's a really great introduction to the intriguing world of energy medicine and the mind-body connection. It is Christel's own story about growing into her amazing gift as a medical intuitive and has alot of great medical stories, but it has alot of information for the reader to take away and apply to their own life - positive changes in your beliefs will affect your health and your life in a positive way.

You will love this book if you are open to alternative therapies and realize that there is a whole other side to health, more than just traditional medicine. It is an excellent read - really accessible, and I have recommended it to so many people!

When I first started reading this book I was amazed at the many similarities with my life's path.
Christel Nani relates her journey in a way that resonated with mine. Her book is easy to understand.
She lays the foundation for a simply devine way to tap into our past so that we can take a good look at what is
keeping us from following not just our talents but our deserving bliss. It all makes sense that if we are so uneasy
in doing and being what we do and who we have become that we can create our dis-ease. Having seen her in person confirmed how talented she is in "knowing" what ails us. She is all-inspiring.
Christal Nani is a true healer.

Very good book.

I too work in the medical profession in hospitals & learned about this book from one of my fellow coworkers. This book was a very good book & I really enjoyed Christel's case studies. I gave it 4.5 stars as I was hoping for more information on how to make changes in my life. This book is more a story of Christel's personal journey on becoming a medical intuitive.

After reading this book I wanted to read more of Christel Nani's book, so I got Guidance 24/7. That book focus' on how you can make changes in your life. I would highly recommend that you read Diary of a Medical Intuitive first, then read Guidance 24/7 on how to change your life. I can't wait to read Christel's newest book now.

I have read several of Caroline Myss' books & listened to her CD's. But Christel with her medical background has a very simple way of explaining things.

It's amazing that I found this book just at a time in my life where I was really questioning my connection to God. When I found this book it was so interesting and I could relate to so much of it that I couldn't put it down and I finished it in less than a weekend. Before I read this, my spiritual life seemed to suffer because I often questioned if God really loves me and cares about me. I felt very lonely, alone, and unheard. Christel explains why people feel this way and that there are ways we can treat this sort of "spiritual depression." Believe me, I have read a LOT of books by psychics, empaths, spiritual healing, Reiki, etc. A lot of stuff out there is recycled from previous authors. However, Christel's book is unique, no-nonsense, and to the point while still being very compassionate. I KNOW this is a God-send. This book has helped to give me hope and left me wanting to learn more about her healing techniques that I can practice on myself! In fact, talk about synchronicity: just as I finished reading her book, I found out she is doing a workshop next weekend less than an hour away from my home in California and this is a rare event! This is so meant to be and I am lucky to have found Christel's work.

To put it bluntly, this book has EVERYTHING you could POSSIBLY need in it. It has combinations of vitamins and supplements for everything from how to get rid of jet lag, to what dieters should take, to the particular health needs of your pet dog or cat. If you read all the way through it, I'm relatively sure that you'll never come across a situation that you won't know what to take to help yourself out. And in my mind, that's what makes this book worth every single page it's printed on.

The author is both a pharmacist and nutritionist. The work
explains many aspects of vitamins including daily allowances,
benefits for the heart and lung, potency, precautions and a host
of relevant factors every consumer should know. He explains how
enzymes facilitate the digestion of food and how Lipase splits
fat. In addition, he demonstrates why older people might need
HCL supplements due to a paucity of digestive acids. The author
devotes a full chapter to explaining a glossary of complex
vitamin jargon. He breaks down vitamin-taking into various
constituent groups; such as, pregnant women, children, runners,
senior citizens, night workers and a host of relevant
constituencies. Did you know that plain ketchup has 8% more
sugar than ice cream? Lastly, he explains how to slow the aging
process via the use of nucleic acids.

The work is a good investment in developing a vitamin regimen
to complement key components of health maintenance.

I practice Earth Spirituality but Ms. Sams' writting left me confused over how to relate to nature. For me, this book was frankly too New Agey for my tastes. Many of the writings seemed to be a rehashing of New Age Indianisms. I prefer a more original approach to Earth Spirituality than simply "Indianisms".

There are lots of life stories, one that sticks out for me is one that talks about remembering to be balanced. Following each poem/short story there's a sentence or two on the learning to take away and reflect on. Its really great - definitely a nice thing to do upon starting the day. Each entry has a connection to the earth, the Great Mystery, and often human behaviors (e.g. kindness, humility, love, qiet mind, etc) that we all can relate to and reflect upon.

Kathy Kastan's, From the Heart: A Guide to Living Well with Heart Disease,
brings awareness and understanding to women who are facing emotional challenges AND living well while in the process.

I wish this book had been available to me after my heart attack. I also live with the aftermath of 16 coronary artery stents and a quadruple bypass surgery. This book gives women with heart disease "peace of mind" and validates that you are not alone. While reading this book, you will catch yourself nodding and thinking, "This happened to me. That is where that feeling came from! Now I understand."

One of many messages emanating from this book is to take care of the mind-body-spirit connection: that it will promote healing and assist in living a healthy life. Every woman should be given this book before any heart procedure or surgery, to better understand what to expect emotionally and how to deal with their challenges.

Thank you, Kathy Kastan, for this wonderful book!

FROM THE HEART: A WOMAN'S GUIDE TO LIVING WELL WITH HEART DISEASE comes from an author who underwent emergency bypass surgery at age 42 - and who had to not only physically recover, but had to find new ways to recover emotionally. It's the first written for women to focus on the emotional repercussions of heart disease rather than just physical symptoms and recovery alone, and surveys topics ranging from regaining a strong self-image and handling fears to telling others about illness and learning to rely upon one's body once more. From gaining support to learning how to exercise without fear, FROM THE HEART is an essential reference any women facing heart disease will need, and should be a popular public library lend.

Iconic text lives up to its reputation

The 39th edition of Gray's Anatomy covers all aspects of human anatomy as well as integrating a comprehensive amount of additional information including histology, embryology, physiology, and pathology. Put together by renowned scientists and clinicians, this iconic book is a must for any medical student. This book is IT!

39th Edition of Gray's Anatomy (Susan Standring, Ed.)

Totally distinct from earlier editions is the radically different organization of this classical textbook: the human body is no longer described as containing different systems - the skeleton, the vascular system, the nervous system,...- but the body is now divided in regions. The reason for this radical change, chief editor Susan Standring (King's College, London) explains, is that in the real world, practising clinicians in their daily practice use a regional approach, rather than a systemic view. Therefore, it is understood that the new, 39th Edition of Gray's Anatomy is more adapted to the needs of surgeons, radiologists and other clinicians, than to medical students or scientists interested in the area of human anatomy. However, there is some consideration of the editors for a section `systemic overview'. So, the endocrine system, the blood (haematopoietic) and immune system are not entirely overlooked.

In particular, when regarding the master gland of the endocrine system, namely the pituitary, readers should know that this organ may be found in the `region' of the diencephalon (Section 2.1.). So, neuroanatomists may rejoice that they finally regained control over the capital region of the human body, and over all body functions regulated by this region. Unfortunately, unlike the 38th Edition, the editor of this section has decided to relapse into a terminology that was already obsolete 15 years ago. `Chromophobic' cells belong to the dark ages when new imaging techniques were still looming for their curious but ignorant discoverers. Bibliographic references are reduced to a baseline level. This would result in insufficient source material for research purposes, but, on the other hand, the references are concise enough for users that may feel comfortable with a general slowing down of scientific progress.

However, many, many advantages of the newly revised topics may be found in this 39th Edition. For those interested in the anatomy of the pelvic floor, the inner ear, or the organization of the peritoneum, Gray's Anatomy will meet their expectations. Also shortcuts to topics like assisted fertilization, preimplantation embryology are included, although it never has been easy being both at the cutting edge and also a textbook that bridges the generation gaps. Therefore, together with many, I will be looking forward to the 40th Edition.

This is an AMAZING book to say the least. I have to say, that this book is not for someone who is just starting in the medical field, as it is written in complex medical terminology. However, if you are in the medical field, than this book is a great reference. Every section of the body is broken down to the most minute detail. And the illustrations/pictures are absolutely amazing; they make learning anatomy fun and a little easier. I have to give kudos to all the authors and illustrators of this text... well done! It's also good to do exercises with ;)

Health Care Meltdown by Dr. Lebow MD

The work points to many of the negations in the current health
care delivery systems in the USA. It spends too much money and
the paperwork is burdensome, generally uninformative and
inefficient. The system needs a separation between the doctor
and the pharmaceutical industry because the needs of the general
public demand an independent attitude on the part of physicians.
Emergency rooms are utilized instead of patient clinics.
This contributes to bloated costs. The HMO co-pay can be burdensome for patients. In addition, there is a slow migration
toward the universal health care coverage in order to correct
some of these inefficiencies and distribute the resource to
persons uncovered or undercovered by the present protocols
and medical delivery systems.

As an Adjunct instructor in the Concordia University system, I have had the opportunity to encourage my MBA students to read this book for my Special Topics in Health care class. After reviewing other possible textbooks during the last 6 months, I have decided to now use this text as the basis for my 8-week adult education class. Offering ample examples and 'myths' that portray our fractured health care system of today, this author has summarily provided a springboard for ongoing conversations and possible answers for this country. Granted all, the HC system will not be corrected for some time, but an accounting will be made when the public becomes a focused participant at the table.
As health care professionals, it is our responsibility to study, learn, participate and educate others, as well as ourselves.
This will begin that process and it will be well worth your effort and consideration.
Thank you

American Health Care Dissected: Engaging and Informative

In more than 20 years teaching a course focusing on analysis of American health care history and policy, I have yet to discover a more persuasive diagnosis of our health care delivery system's ills or a more convincing case for how to cure them. Dr. Lebow brings to this examination direct experience as a practicing physician from which he draws numerous stirring personal accounts. To his clinical perspective, he adds an extraordinary command of the broader economic and political issues essential for understanding the context and causes of America's current health care crisis epitomized by the alarming number of our country's uninsured--now about 44 million and growing. The book is honest, engaging, and sure to stimulate discussion with its clear prescription for change. With lively prose and strategically placed humor, he makes complex matters understandable. His humanity and passion are the earmarks of a brilliant teacher. Regardless of how deeply you presently understand America's health care system, you can learn from this book. And regardless of your political inclinations in respect to his advocacy of a single-payer solution, you can't ignore his meticulous presentation of the facts or the relentless logic of his conclusions from them.

A good first step

I'd like to give this book 4 stars, but there are just too many holes for me to do so. Dr. Lebow presents many important points, but the book simply is not the answer to our prayers regarding the current healthcare mess.

As Dr. Lebow points out, in the health insurance industry, competition among health insurers has led to less efficiency rather than more efficiency. 10 different credentialing applications, 12 different contract types, no standardization whatsoever and an administrative mess for any doctor who doesn't have the luxury of a seasoned healthcare administrator in his office. Add to that the eligibility trouble. Multiple phone calls for every patient to check eligibility for every appointment. Worst of all, the current health insurance system provides no incentive to managed care to pay for preventive care.

These are the issues that single-payer would fix for the insured population, saving billions of dollars. Dr. Lebow is right on, though I wish he spent as much time on eligibility and insurance company hassles as he did on preventive care. He also does great work in presenting the myths of healthcare today. Many of them can't be repeated enough (like the corporate welfare given to prescription drug companies).

But I have several issues as well.

My biggest complaint is that his solution only delays the inevitable a little longer. He deals only with the healthcare funding system and has little to say about the healthcare delivery system. "Market Driven Healthcare" by Regina Herzlinger and "From Chaos to Care" by David Lawrence offer real long-term solutions to the healthcare delivery problems we face in our current environment. Unless those market principles are imposed on healthcare, single payor will only delay the final implosion of medical care. Once the financial gains from single-payor healthcare are realized and exhausted, the costs will continue to spiral out of control.

Another issue is that he gives few details in the "how" of his solutions. Focusing on prevention and public health is a good and obvious point. Everybody agrees on it, but I don't think simply saying "it will happen once a grassroots movement demands it" is sufficiently descriptive of how he sees prevention and public health becoming the standard. Who will implement it? How?

Because of these problems, Dr. Lebow does not make a convincing case to those in power that change is good for them. He persuades the persuaded brilliantly, but I can't imagine why someone who opposes single-payer would change his mind after reading this book. And those in power are whose minds must be changed if change is to come.

The way I see it, healthcare as we know it is a very young industry. Only 16 years ago, managed care was almost an unkown in the healthcare world. Now, it dominates. Unfortunately, that insurance model grew so quickly there was no way anyone could have planned it properly. Imagine how the computer industry would have destroyed itself if it weren't entirely made up of systems thinkers known for their planning ability. ISO-9000 was brilliant, as is settling on the PC as the standard. Healthcare needs, and is getting, more of that now. HIPAA and state-mandated credentialing applications perfectly demonstrate the government's role in fixing healthcare. It should be a regulator, an agent for the lowly to make sure the big guys play fair, and a standard-setter to make commercial insurance more efficient. But it's entirely too early to declare the market dead and single payer as the only way out of this mess.

Should be mandatory reading for health care providers

Health Care Meltdown: Confronting The Myths And Fixing Our Failing System by Robert H. LeBow (former Medical Director of an Idaho community health center for more than 25 years and who was paralyzed in a cycling accident shortly after completing this book) is a clarion wake up call focused upon the medical care system's rampant excesses, over billings, neglects, and quagmires that floods the American health care system to near incapacitation. Over 40,000,000 Americans have no health insurance. This places an unsupportable burden on Emergency Room Care (one the most expensive health care provider resources), and while money is in unnecessary and wasteful bureaucratic and law-suit avoidance oriented testing, far to many people simply go without the medical service they desperately need. A sharply worded criticism that also offers models for reform and improvement, Health Care Meltdown should be mandatory reading for health care providers, citizen health care activists, anyone charged with the responsibility of developing policies and guidelines for managing health care services.
