This book has been invaluable in helping me pass nursing exams in school. I know it will be a great help when it is time to take the NCLEX exam. I highly reccomend it!

This book has a great listing of everyday foods and beverages that is easy for the average person to read. The portions are realistic and easy to plan from. Many foods are listed in several forms with calories, vitamins and minerals listed clearly.

I recommend this for any average person that doesnt have the time or energy to research their diet, but desires to be clearly informed.

In A Palliative Ethic of Care: Clinical Wisdom at Life's End, Joseph J. Fins, MD, has written a timely and sage book whose readership is likely to include the clinician, the legal practioner, as well as the lay person. Dr. Fins addresses the history of palliative care in careful, measured tones, and he writes well. The book's greatest asset may be its respect for its subject, the dying, and Dr. Fins gives all concerned parties equal voice in his sensitive, yet instructive text on life's final moments. This book should be on the required reading list for everyone who has to address a loved one's (as well as their own) death.

The Brady workbook is a great adjunct to go along with the textbook. The chapters are well thought out and concise for excellent review for recertification exams. The layout with objectives, text, key points, list of words and their meanings is great.

Starting a nurse parish ministry for the church I am a parishioner at and a full-time nurse has given me a good insight as to where to begin planning and educating the pastoral committee,and myself where to start and how to focus where the needs are most prevalent for our parishioners. Anyone wanting to start a parish nursing ministry needs to read this book. It will guide you into areas that you may not have thought of. Step by step planning is outlined with ease.

Carey Kriz's book on the future of health care is right on target. We all need to take a close read and understand our role in our own health care. The role of technology can help - and we need access to our own health records. As I read this book, I thought about my own experience with the health care system - a complex web of specialists and nobody who knows how to put all the pieces together for me. Like Mr. Kriz points out, the days of a country doctor who understands and treats the individual are gone, so personalized health care needs to be reserected again in a new form! Technology is the tool to help us get there!
