I bought this book for my daughter, and now it's dog-eared and much-loved. It teaches everything from how to have inner beauty through knowing God to how to pluck your brows properly. A useful, practical, beautiful book for teenage girls.

Shirley Hughes is a great author and illustrater. She is able to capture all the sweet memories of chilhood with a great rhyms that captivate young children. I love her work and try to get my hands on all of her books!

This is the greatest cook book I have EVER seen!!! My aunt turned me on to this several months ago, when she found an old copy at a used book store. She has lost about 75 lbs. so far, and my parents have lost 20 lbs. each since they started using this cookbook. The recipes are easy, fun, tasty, and best of all..... you don't have to go to the store for a lot of extra stuff. These recipes call for everyday normal stuff you have in your pantry or fridge. The first night I got the book, I made "Twice Baked Potatoes" and one of the chicken meals. My husband said it was the best meal he had ever had! I thought that was pretty good for a low-cal, low-fat meal. Get this book!!! You'll start salivating the minute you open the book - the recipes are that good. Do yourself and your family a favor by buying this book & CD ROM (which is another story in itself) and get on a healty diet.

At about 700 large-sized pages, this exceptional book celebrates the woman's body, her nutrition & fitness, her mental health & self-awareness, her adolescence, her sexuality and her pregnancy. Woman's psychology and her life cycle are fully covered. The book has hundreds of pages on pregnancy and birth control and should be very valuable to a woman during her child-bearing years.

Nobody makes it through life without experiencing loss. Understanding the common emotions that accompany losing someone is hard to do. A book like this is a MUST HAVE!!! I highly recommend this book!!!

Let me declare my interest. I am the author of this book. I wrote it because I believe the information is important. My wife died as much from her orthodox treatments as from the cancer itself - but how could we have avoided doing the orthodox treatments? This book explains very clearly why the orthodox treatments are problematic. It also explains why many of the so-called alternative and complementary approaches make sense. The problem for many people is that 'alternative' cancer therapies have been stigmatised with a sort of new-age label. I can tell you I am not at all new-agey. All the therapies mentioned in this book are rooted in good science and/or in credible personal experience. This book contains stories of more than a dozen people who have recovered from cancer using alternative therapies. If you have cancer, or if you know someone who has cancer, then this should be one of the books you should read. This book really helped me in my second semester of the respiratory Program, I wish I'd had it in my first semester of the program! I would recommend it to any respiratory Therapy Student.

This book is so comprehensive that it talks about dealing with life, and its challenges: stress, dealing with difficult situations that happen to everyone, but are extremely magnified and overwhelimg for anyone taking care of a spouse, child, sibling, parent, or professional caregivers.

I would reccommend this book to anyone who is not living in a cave and has to cope daily with challenges. All the caregivers I know that have read this book and taken the "Powerful Tools For Caregiving" class have been rewarded and renewed permanently!
