The book New Prescription for Childhood Obesity by Dr. Billy Johnson was very informative. I was able to see the connection between what we eat and our health. It explains a lot about the health of our nation especially our children. I see so many overweight children and adults and that this epidemic makes me realize that we are slowly eating away our health.

This book gives clear and medically proven guidance for dealing with childhood obesity, but I believe that the information is also helpful for improving the health of children and adults of average weight and for adult weight management and health. It is well written, easy to follow, understand and implement. It is a practical guide to good health for children with many benefits for parents as well.

I can't agree with Dr. Johnson more than what the rest of the reviews have mentioned. The product he refers to (MonaVie) is a wonderful product for gaining a high amount of antioxindants and phytonutrients for adults and children. Not only is it good for children to curb obesity, it is also great for adults looking to get their proper daily nutrition. Taking 4 ounces daily is the equivalent to getting up to 13 servings of fruit a day. The USDA recommends getting 7-13 servings a day. Who has the time to eat that many fruits/veggies a day? Not me. It only takes 30 seconds to get your 4 ounces of MonaVie. I can't recommend it enough. For more info on MonaVie you can go to [...]/IFeelGreat.

Title: New Prescription for Childhood Obesity:
Fight Childhood Obesity with Antioxidants & Phytonutrients

Author: Billy C. Johnson M.D., Ph.D

Everyone that is aware of their surroundings must realize that childhood obesity has become an epidemic. However, few are as knowledgeable about the extremely sad, long term effects as this author, Billy C. Johnson M.D., Ph.D.
Written as a parenting guide for the 5-12 year old generation, the intention is teaching that eating less and exercising more does not work on a long term basis. Parents must teach their children the root of the problem so lifelong habits of healthy eating are established. By understanding this approach, the parents themselves adopt a healthier lifestyle, benefiting as well.
The root of the problem is the development of low-grade silent inflammation combined with decreased levels of antioxidants and phytonutrients. The result being chronic, degenerative diseases with Type 2 diabetes at the top of a growing list threatening quality of life. The multitude of traumatic diseases is not only diabetes but loss of energy and muscle, arterial plaque, poor concentration, heart disease and high blood pressure, just a few mentioned as a wake up call. Along with all of this, we are also faced with external sources such as pollution, inadequate sleep and ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
Chapter 1, is based on the philosophy that balanced nutrition can be tailored to the individual level of physical activity. Antioxidants are phytonutrients, which are chemical compounds found in non-starchy vegetables, fruits, beans and soy. They must be included in the diet for the body to be able to neutralize high levels of free radicals that cause oxidative stress, attack DNA and other healthy cells. The recommended daily serving of 7-9, falls very short in today's society. A new discovery to combat this deficiency is Mona Vie, which is a highly concentrated juice based from the Acai Berry.
This book has been meticulously written in 14 easy to understand chapters. The author, Billy C. Johnson M.D., Ph.D. leaves no stone unturned as he covers everything with clarity from food groups, to necessity of water and snacks. Planning is very important and he teaches us how to plan/shop, as well as providing a sample plan including many basic recipes.
He graduated from the University of Florida, did his residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Brooklyn and has also practiced in Virginia and Connecticut. After tragically losing his brother to heart attack secondary to diabetes he became interested in Health & Wellness. He is very active on the subject with public speaking, weekly radio program and on the Internet.
It has been an honor to learn from his book and I would highly recommend it.

Quoting from the back cover:

"About one in three American children is either overweight or obese. Childhood obesity is a crisis robbing youth of health and energy, and even causing children to die prematurely. Obesity among children, which is likely to carry over to adulthood, is also linked to a greater risk of high cholesterol, diabetes, early heart disease, and high blood pressure.

"New Prescription for Childhood Obesity provides an innovative approach to fighting childhood obesity. The traditional method for weight loss and fat reduction has been to eat less and exercise more, but this does not work over the long haul. To lose weight and keep it off requires addressing the root cause of the problem: insulin resistance and the low-grade silent inflammation that is triggered by many factors, including foods and environmental causes such as pesticides, industrial pollutants, and toxins.

"Now parents have an opportunity to change their child's eating and physical activity habits even before a weight problem develops. Complete with recipes to get you on the right track, this essential guide provides specific and simple strategies, techniques, and skills that will enable children to eat the right amount of food appropriate for their level of physical activity without dieting."

This is an excellent book, and we could all benefit, not just our children, from Dr. Johnson's theories, information and eating/exercise program. There certainly is a need in this country for information and guidance to help us fight our obesity issue. This is a well written, organized and edited book, and if your child has a weight problem, you might want to read and consider Dr. Johnson's program.

After reading his first book "We want to live" I had to have Aajonus' 2nd book. This book, "The recipe for living without disease" lists some more practical and very useful information about a healthy primal diet. Aajonus discusses some healthy food combinations and gives some valuable recipes (suited even for babies!).

As I have found out with many of the MDs and PhDs I've listed in my other review of his first book, they all advocate using a blender and a juicer. It reminds me of what Richard Schulze M.D. always said: a blender and a juicer saves lives! It's so true.

In this book Aajonus discusses what cooking does to nutrients in food, if microbes are dangerous to humans and bacterial food-poisoning etc.

I was very pleased to read that Aajonus is writing new books and that CD/DVDs will be published that show how to make recipes and use kitchen equipment etc. Anxiously waiting these arrivals...!

The best diet book around( the only one which really works)

Aajonus's first book was a little too New-Agey for my tastes. This, his 2nd book, is however OUTSTANDING. It contains numerous references to various scientific studies and reports, which I have seen referred to in New Scientist magazine among other sources. The previous book neglected this aspect to a certain extent.
The beginning and end of the book deal with the theory behind the diet, demolishing the irrational concerns of society, such as regards parasites and bacteria, while the middle part deals with recipes and the like.
All in all, I have to say, that I have tried numerous other diets out there(Palaeolithic Diet, Vegetarianism, Raw Vegan, Hay Diet,Instincto, Atkins, "balanced diet" etc.) but the Primal Diet is the only diet which actually restored my health. This book is a must-read for anyone who is interested in improving their energy levels or in curing their long-term health problems.
I would like to add that my former (very serious) health problems were only got rid of completely once I switched to a fully Raw, Palaeolithic variation of this Primal Diet:- I had to eliminate raw veggie juice and all raw dairy from my diet(like many RPDers I have a very strong food-intolerance/allergy towards raw dairy), reduce drastically consumption of raw honey, raw fruit, and raw (solid) veg, to minimal amounts, and eat mainly (raw) organ- meats(especially high-fat ones like bone-marrow/suet/tongue etc.), glands and fatty muscle-meats in place of overly lean muscle-meats. Combining this modification with all other aspects of the Primal Diet, such as "high-meat" etc., helped cure a number of long-term health problems. I also found that doing IF(Intermittent Fasting) helped greatly to improve energy levels.

The only diet that works.

Seriously.Forget about the recepies. You'll never make them anyway, beside the basic ones(shakes, moisterizing drink).Once in raw diet, you'll eat your meal mostly plain.Get We Want 2 Live too.Lots of info. You'll need to read it over and over 10-20 times in order to stick. This book changed my life.I can't say enough about it.I saw him in person too.Great man!God bless him!
Prior to this diet I did evrything there is.You name it!Macrobiotic,vegeterian,Atkin's,lacto,etc...Never felt good. A year and a half on raw meat and fish,I feel different person. Thanks AV.

I ordered the book about a year an a half ago. Prior to receiving the book, I had been diagnosed with colitis, which I had been suffering from for about a year, which included bleeding, pain diarrhea and interrupted sleep. The medication prescribed worked initially, but ceased to work after the next flare-up, 2 months later. I followed the diet for about a week, at which time my symptoms subsided. I've been normal ever since. I can't say that I've followed the diet whole-heartedly. I eat what would be considered a "normal" diet by most, with the incorporation of the diet plan outlined in the book, which includes a lot of fresh fruits and vegatables. I can honestly say that I haven't had any indication of a flare-up. Some might say that I'm in remission, but from everything I've read, most people only stay in remission up to a year with medication only. I believe the information David shares has saved me from an incredible amount of physical and emotional pain. He does a fantastic job of explaining the cause and the cure in a simple to understand manner. At one time, I looked at eating raw fruits and vegetables as a chore. I now see them as pleasurable medicine for my body. I know that it's added years to my life. I realize that I might be the exception to the rule as far as the short length of time my body took to heal, but I'm sure that I would still be suffering if I hadn't gotten this book. I am now gradually transitioning to a vegan lifestyle. I tell everyone about your book.

I ordered this book for my mother who has been suffering from colitis for 25 years. She is able to really apply the diet and advice in this book to her daily lifestyle. I have been a vegan for years and it has been hard to get her to stay consistent with any advice I have given her regarding her condition. This book is literally a life saver. It has given her an alternative to having her intestine removed. I even ordered a second book to give to someone who may be interested in an alternative to conventional medicine for this type of condition.

Dr. Klein's book has given my family hope and better than that: results. My four-year-old daughter, who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of two, is enjoying radiant health without drugs or supplements of any kind. I too have experienced miraculous healing of eczema on his plan and know that it can help anyone wanting to improve his/her health. I'm deeply grateful for his passion for raw foods and their healing power.

My son Byron (17 year old diagnosed with Crohns June 2006) has just confided in me that this time last year he wanted to commit suicide. At that time he was confined to bed with painful fissures (anal tears), mouth ulcers, stomach cramps, diarrhoea and bowel incontinence, hot & cold sweats and a host of other miserable complaints. He had already endured months of illness and hospitalization and despite drug treatments was no better. The doctors had abandoned us for an extended Xmas/New Year break and an increase in Prednisone dose did nothing to ease symptoms. Then your Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's book arrived. We started the diet straight away and in 3 days the pain from the fissures was gone and he was up and moving around.

David, we have since proved every single word of your book to be true. Byron's recovery went exactly as you described it would. We followed the steps carefully, reducing drugs as we went, we made mistakes but corrected them within 3 days of returning to the diet and we pressed on. We know your work has saved Byron from a life of hell. Today, one year after receiving your book, he is entirely drug free and has been for 5 months. He is 62kg (up from 45kg at diagnosis). He is an active young man looking and feeling great and as a fabulous sidekick benefit, now has a really cool Vegan girlfriend. He lives by the diet and finds it easy, we spend less on good food than we did on the SAD diet and we now spend absolutely nothing on drugs, supplements or consultations. The doctor called Byron's excellent condition "clinical remission", which we confidently told him will last for around 75 years!!!!! Byron and I believe you have provided us with the "cure". Treatments in the 6 months prior to receiving your book cost around AUS$15,000. Your regimen was the cost of the book and one consult fee to meet you (a meeting I am eternally grateful for and was pre-ordained after a surprise opportunity to travel to California last year). We owe you so much and we thank you so much. Please add our story to your list of successes. I am happy to have my email address posted on your site as a contact for those still reading your "Are You Skeptical" link and would be pleased to share our story and discuss.

We are a grain milling family. We mill our grains and make all baked goods using freshly milled grains. I was looking for a book that would help me to mill and bake low fat, high fiber type foods for weight loss. I have always believed that Low carb dieting is not realistic, nor is it livable as a lifestyle for us. However, the desire to lose weight automatically makes me think I have to "go without" the living, vitamin filled baked goods I make for my family.
This book is so full of great recipes, especially heart healthy breads and baked goods, which is what my family thrives on! This is all stuff I can eat and still lose weight. This is a great resource as a whole grain "cookbook" or for someone like me, who is looking to trim down a bit and yet still eat freshly milled whole grains.

Worth a second helping!

This is the only cookbook in 30+ years of cooking that I have literally used to death. I am online today buying my second copy of "Set for Life" It's interresting to note that this book has been in print for almost 20 years, but the fitness principles - don't diet! Exercise regularly! Cut fats and sugars! - still apply today! Jane Merrill not only explains the proper nutritional guidelines, she shows with her great recipes that eating right can be a breeze! The whole wheat breads are all delicious and easy. The blender pancakes have been a staple and we love the alternative pancake syrups, sauces and toppings. Taco soup has also become a regular at our house! There are not very many seafood recipes, but in Idaho, we don't see a lot of seafood. Many of the recipes reflect a western background (Ranchero beans, sloppy joes, and many uses for Idaho potatoes!) If you want a taste of down-home cooking, I highly recommend this book.

If you are looking for healthy recipes for everyday items that many people eat often, this is the cookbook for you.
If you want the best homemade bread recipe ever, this book's Set-Point bread recipe is the one for you.
If you are looking for a healthier way to make favorite desserts, this book is for you.
If you are looking for realistic, functional alternatives and substitutes that will help you be healthier, this is the book for you.
In addition to good recipes, this book also contains suggestions for lifestyle changes and a schedule and set of lists to jumpstart those changes.
This is not an Italian cookbook, or a French cookbook. The majority of the recipes truly are for more everyday things, like basic entrees, baked goods, desserts, breakfasts and such.
A very useful addition to the person or family that is wanting to make healthy changes in their eating habits and even lifestyle.

This is not a book about dieting. It is a book about living. It is a realistic, timeless approach to exercise and eating. Fads come and go, set-for-life will stand the test of time. The recipes, though whole grained based, are very mainstream and easy to make. Unless I want to grind my own wheat (which is actually a lot of fun), I can purchase most the ingrediants at a normal grocery store. I have also learned to quickly recognize recipes from other sources that adhere to the set-point lifestyle, or that can easily be adjusted. The chapter on breads, rolls and muffins has literally changed my life. I did not grow up with fresh home-made bread. My kids will. The authors teach you step-by-step how to make large batches so that you can freeze some of the dough. The frozen dough is so easy to pull out of the freezer and bake. I believe if people only realized how delicious bread could be, and how enjoyable it is to make, all those wimpy grocery store bread companies would be out of business. By adhering to the guidlines set forth in this book, I have sacrificed nothing and gained much. Thank you Jane Merrill and Karen Sunderland for sharing your wisdom and recipes in this book.

You'll think better if you eat the right foods and fatty acids. Michael Scmidt tells you which ones to choose to make your brain work better.

There are extensive chapter notes and a good index.

It is too soon to tell about the weight, but I feel better and that says a great deal. The book is easy to read and has wonderful non-prescription information packed inside. It has information that I have read in other places, but being more up to date with vitamin issues helped me to learn more. There are several good books for diabetics, and several more for people interested in a more natural diet. This is one of the few books, perhaps the only current book, specifically focused on prediabetes. That's important for people like me who found themselves to be prediabetic with no idea of what that word meant, and no outward signs that diabetes was a real threat. The book is smoothly written, clearly organized, and educational without being pedantic or academic. It's also very easy to integrate with diets like South Beach, the Abs Diet, and the slow-and-natural approach Michael Pollan advocates in In Defense of Food. If you're already trying to live a healthier lifestyle, this book will help you easily modify your life to accommodate your concerns about prediabetes. If you're just starting to learn about prediabetes and healthier options, this book is the place to begin. The authors claim that within just a couple of days of implementing changes you'll feel significantly better. I found that to be absolutely true and three months later it remains true. I would have paid $10,000 or more for that just three months ago, so the book has been a steal.

I found the information in the book okay...pretty mainstream. Knowing you have to cut calories to loose weight is known worldwide fact.... Finding the motivation is truly another issue. This book guides you in eating in 1/3 portions/food groups on your plate and how to balance out your food throughout the day. I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn to eat better...but as far as loosing weight...not so sure.

I needed some advice and ideas for cutting calories from my diet while trying to lose weight for an upcoming event. I've been following Lisa's suggestions and meal plans and it has really helped -- one of the best things is that she gives recipes and meal suggestions that are easy and quick to make, so I'm more willing to follow them...and I still feel completely satisfied throughout the day even on fewer calories. Another thing that I like is her suggestions for better takeout food, specific to cuisine, if you are eating out -- very helpful!

Life Changing Plan

One thing that I must say about this book is that you have to really be ready to change your diet in order to truly see the benefits. With that being said, once you are ready to commit to it, you will without a doubt reap the benefits of this plan. I was amazed by how easy it was to follow. I loved how she dumbed it down for me and just gave me options to choose for my breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks from a list as opposed to count calories or carbs or anything else for that matter. I've only been doing it for a few weeks, but I have more energy when I workout, I sleep better, and I've seen enough positive results in such a shorttime to keep me faithful to the plan. One of the things that surprised me the most was how it curbed my cravings for fast food and the other things that have sabotaged my efforts in the past. If you're truly ready for something to change your diet and your way of life, I highly recommend this book.

Obesity in America is of epidemic proportions. This fact is easily affirmed with a quick look on a crowded street. Research shows not only are more people overweight or obese, the overweight keep piling on the pounds. Sadly, this phenomenon is not just an adult problem. In the book SuperSized Kids How To Rescue Your Child From The Obesity Threat, Walt Larimore, M.D., and Sherri Flynt explore the medical consequences of obesity in today's youth and offer their medical experiences, both personal and clinical, as they attempt to tackle this worldwide crisis. Obesity does not discriminate. In fact, as this book so adeptly explains, obesity affects all persons, individually and as a society. The negative health impact is globally catastrophic in addition to financially devastating. Larimore and Flynt, with the use of reality-based case in points, attempt to explain the ravages this disease presents while offering thier medical expertise to assure us this trend can be reversed. With simple medical terminology and easy to follow lifestyle changes, these dedicated professionals make eradicating childhood obesity seem like a real possibility. While exposing probable causes of obesity, the authors are quick to point out modern luxuries and conveniences as the likeliest culprits. Except, instead of assigning blame to society and culture alone, they lay the responsibility and recovery at the feet of the individual. If the purpose of this book is to explain what obesity is, what it does, and how to prevent it, that goal was certainly attained. Larimore and Flynt give the reader every reason to be concerned and become proactive with the weight, current and future health of our next generation.

SuperSized Kids How To Rescue Your Child From The Obesity Threat is one of many books tackling the issue of childhood obesity available today. Written to appeal to parents and caregivers, it sometimes uses over the top scare tactics to get the reader's attention. Although easy to read, the layout is a bit distracting with the pages having sidebars of Recipe For Success, Fifty Ways to SuperSize Your Kids, and/or Food For Thought. Using real life stories to emphasize the subject matter is usually a positive tool used by authors. This book employs too many. Parents who have children struggling with weight want answers and solutions, not necessarily a support group of unknowns. They already know they belong to an ever growing population and if they are reading this book, they are making strides to escape from it. From a clinical viewpoint, this books supplies plenty of facts and figures. What it doesn't do, is make them interesting. With so many other books available with the same subject matter, I suggest looking for another.

This book has been an extremely useful resource for my family. "Food for Thought" and "Recipe for Success" highlight boxes made this book very easy reading to skim through and eye-opening stories about real people made it a book I read from cover to cover. I refer to the corresponding web site regularly. It is a real asset for my family's use of the book's eight-week plan to reduce our weight.

I was able to read this book before it came out to the public and do the program layed out in the back. I have to say, it is OUTSTANDING! This book was my last resort before giving up all together. My husband, son and I are all way overwieght and have been on the diet rollercoaster for years. I really was scared for my son, being only 6 years old, I felt it was up to me to get things under control. This book is not like anything you will ever read when it comes to diets. It dosent tell you to stop everything and eat just grass! It is laid out to where you do things a little at a time, like the first week all you just reduce the the amount of fast food you would normaly get, along with switching from a large plates to a small one. I am proud to say that by the end of the 8 week, we as a family lost 28 pounds, dont eat red meat, or drink caffeine at all, and have reduced our TV time, weeat as a family and we are much more active! If you want to save your childs life, and the heart ache of being overwieght or you want to improve your own life through better habits, All I can Say is GET THIS BOOK!! It will make a world of difference.

This book is one of the best books I have purchased concerning diet and healthy living. I was expecting a book that I most likely would have to sift thru to get a few important facts from. Instead, I discovered a very well written and documented book full of useful facts. The author has medical back ground and references information from medical studies and science. Love this book and hope many more read it. I have always believed that eating whole foods was best for me. Now I have more information too support my beliefs.

I've read a lot of health books from supplementation to eating raw but this is my favorite. This book is the 1st book I recommend all my clients to read. The information is very basic, accurate and in a simple format. The book is not product based but health based which gives a wonderful foundation to those wanting information to consider when desiring a lifestyle change based on knowledge and conviction. A must have in any library!! A wonderful gift too.

More than a Diet - A Lifelong Self Improvement Tool

So far, I recommend it highly. It's working for me, I feel awesome and I've only been using this for two weeks. Very meaty info, yet easy to read and understand. the most interesting health book I've ever read. Personally, I am less concerned about weight loss than overall health, but this book appealed to me because of the integration of Chinese Medicine and Western Science, and the Meta-type concept convinced me I could live a healthier lifestyle, specifically tailored to my body and personality, even if I don't need to lose weight. "Complementary" medicine is growing in popularity but no one else has ever clearly explained concepts like Yin and Yang, for example, in ways we can understand through science. Dr. Elizabeth Dane very clearly and in a friendly way, explains how Yin and Yang (Chinese) are aligned with our nervous system and body energies (Western science). I started slow with the book, on the healthy eating and exercises, and then I add more ideas from the book in phases. I go back to it daily, understanding my Meta-type specifics, picking up new ways of relaxing and managing stress, modifying recipes from magazines like Cooking Light with my Meta-type foods. What I don't need is another book filled of charts of calories/fiber/fat that some lab puts out for every single body as "ideal" that's impossible that I have to memorize. Yuck. I've seen all different body typing studies, but none that is as comprehensive as this. This one includes mental, spiritual and all other experiences of health besides eating less to lose weight. I recommend it highly.

A diet book that makes sense (and I've tried them all!)

I was amazed at how wonderfully the author was able to integrate eastern and western medicine in this unusual diet book. Why is it a great diet book? Because it doesn't tell you just how to lose weight -- it gives you a weight management plan for life that flows directly from its healthy lifestyle recommendations.

As someone who put on and lost close to 1,000 lbs over a 30-year period, using a variety of temporarily successful fad diets, and then overate again, I'm in a position to say how this one differs from other diet books.

This book enabled me to pin down my own metabolic type. The author calls it "Meta-type," and by that term she means not just how quickly your body breaks down food, but the entire way your body, emotions, and personaility work. This makes sense because eastern medicine -- unlike western -- doesn't try to separate the body from the mind (and emotions).

While this is not a simple fix (I've sure had enough of those!), I found myself learning a great deal about how my body, my emotions, and my stress level have kept me from maintaining a stable weight. What I most liked about the book is that it explains -- using solid science from endocrinology -- why the diet that works for my friend fails to work for me. The book helped me recognize how often my worst periods of weight gain correlated with periods of stress, and it provided me with many tools to keep on a healthy diet plan even when I'm under stress.

I strongly recommend buying this book to anyone who's tried Adkins, the Zone, and other "one size fits all" diet books -- and still cannot maintain their desired weight level.

Transformative Book!

Wow! What a book! This book is an astonishing work. Not only does the author cover all that is necessary, she actually taught me to create an eating plan that works right for me - for my body, for who I am. Talk about customized! I felt like I'd spent hours getting a personal consultation from her by the time I'd read the book. The information is worth the effort. Her website supplemented what I learned in the text and I find myself feeling better all the time! (And looking healthier, too!)

A Perfect Blend of Chinese Medicine and Western Science

People who cannot see past the broad, quick-fix diets of our generation may react skeptically, even harshly to the methods outlined in Dr. Elizabeth Dane's book, "Your Body, Your Diet." Even more naïve are those who still want to believe that we are not affected by what we put in our bodies. Nothing could be further from the truth. What is also true, and is most often overlooked, is that who we ARE often defines what we WANT to put in our bodies. Our Meta-type determines our needs and our cravings, good and bad. This ideology is the very fiber of Dr. Dane's methods. By understanding our unique self, we take the greatest leap toward health and happiness.

There's a reason why diet "gurus" can pop out a new book every six months and have it sell-chances are their last book didn't work for you and you're left still searching for a solution. There's also a reason Dr. Elizabeth Dane has put out only ONE book in over 25 years of practice as a clinical nutritionist and O.M.D. (Oriental Medical Doctor)-because this book is the only one you will need. It's a perfect blend of Chinese Medicine and Western Science, based on Dr. Dane's original, frontline research-real work she's done with real people for over two decades.

The problem with most "quick fix" diets it that they don't require any real change in lifestyle. They offer just a few new recipes and cutting out some snacks, and more exercise, of course-just re-hashing the obvious things we've been told for years. But because diets such as these don't require much change, they don't affect much real change either.

Dr. Dane's book succeeds because of an approach that's targeted to the individual-it's not a "one-size-fits-all" or "diet-of-the-month." Her plan may be harder to adjust to at first, and can initially appear very time consuming. But then, millions of Americans have wasted lots of time reading through new diet book after new diet book over the years. And as with anything, once a routine is developed, these changes become a part of daily life-and, best of all, Dr. Dane's results are permanent.

Elizabeth Dane is a genius! I can't believe how much her book and philosophy has helped me. I have dropped over 20 pounds since I got her book and my energy level has increased more than I ever dreamed it could. I've tried so many ways to lose weight and increase my energy and what Elizabeth has written is magic. Dr. Dane's knowledge of what works is simply amazing! You'll agree.
