However if this book does not conceptually make sense to you initialy, then please read the introduction (its all there!!). Don't become sad or closed minded!

If you are expecting beauty, hairstyling ideas, or a nice coffeetable book, you will be disappointed. The photos are not visually appealing and don't seem to have any artistic intent, though some do have the dark lurkings (without the genius of lighting) of the back-room B&W nude photos by Mapplethorpe. Aside from a young Kate Moss, these young faces exhibit marked sun damage and acne scars; perhaps these were "before" photos for a dermatologist's office. The hair cuts and styles are crude (perhaps intentionally), and with the amplified pits and valleys in the skin they leave the reader wondering what Guido's intention was in publishing this, as it hardly flatters his talent or esthetic sensibility.

This is such a cute book that promotes a positive self-esteem in girls. I started reading it to my daughter while I was pregnant with her. It's one of our favorite books to read together.

I was so excited to order this book for my daughter. I have YET to receive it. I was emailed by Amazon that I was quoted the wrong price for this book. However, this vender did not give me an alternative and I am still waiting for the refund.:{

This text made an excellent companion to my MBA Marketing Research class. The authors presented the (sometimes complex) information in a clear and precise manner, and there was no lack of real-world examples to back up the theory. I continue to use this title as a reference at work, and do not hesitate to recommend it to other graduate students and those who seek a more sophisticated introduction to marketing research.

I feel sorry for any student who is required to use this book as a text. It is by far the worst text I have used in my five years of college. Wait until you get to the flower pot analogy! It makes no sense at all, it fits in with the rest of the book.

After reading this poorly written tome I am still no closer to knowing anything about who the real Mick Ronson was.
While the Authors seem to have a good knowledge of Mick and his life I was always left feeling that they where not going to give us anything other than an outline. Apart from a brief interview with Dale Buffin ( drummer in Mott the Hoople) where we see an inkling of Ronson's personality this book really lacks any bite,it is all just too polite and as I said poorly written. We get no sense of anticipation about what is going to happen next and no sense of what I call the need to read.Mick Ronson deserves a better book than this.
All in all this is yet another rock book which fails to Rock.

This is an absolutely amazing book - not least because it's the only one out there devoted to Mick Ronson, an amazing guitarist and - as is made abundantly clear in the book - an amazing person as well. You get a sense of his kindness, warmth, humility, and brilliance. A beautiful person. It's full of stories, recollections, recording details, very comprehensive discography, and more. Anyone interested in Mick will find it a treasure trove of information and a really enjoyable read. Anyone interested in the people he's worked with - Bowie, Ian Hunter, Lou Reed, and a host of other artists - will also find much to enjoy. Can't say enough good about the book. Deserves more than 5 stars.

As an introduction for Marketing, this book is great. If purchased new, the book has access to online tools and interaction. It is laid out well, easy to read and full of examples that relate to and explain the vocabulary well.

This book is a wonderful tale about a boy and his turtle fighting through bad weather to make it to the North Pole to see Santa Claus and get him his wish list before its too late. Who am I kidding? That would be stupid. This is an amazingly interesting book that makes it very easy to learn Marketing. I would reccommend it to anyone takign Marketing or wishing to learn on their own.

Bad News: I ordered this MKTG 2.0 for my SDSU Marketing Class back in August, 2008. Two weeks go by saying this order has not shipped. My class started I need the book to study ASAP...yet Amazon.com can't ship the book yet. I expected the damn book by now! I decided to cancel my order and was FORCED to buy this book @ SDSU Bookstore. Amazon.com, please excelerate your shipping practices!

Good news: The price on Amazon.com is cheaper than SDSU and KB Books in San Diego, CA - Also NO CA SALES TAX! HAHAHAH!

A must read for anyone concerned about how to properly manage hair and scalp to prevent baldness and maintain healthy hair.

This short treatise on the causes of and remedies for thinning hair ranks at the top of my list of all-time worthless and pretentious bunk. In short, the author holds that thinning hair is caused by combing your locks the wrong way. Too much and in the wrong direction, and it falls out. Forget about other causes: like malnutrition, emotional stress, hormonal imbalance, heredity, environmental toxicity, aging, etc. Just brush it backwards and watch your sink fill with loose hairs. Don't waste your time and money on this bald and toothless argument wearing a false and flowery academic wig.

I have ordered 5 books on one setting. I have received 4 of them in 2 different shipments, but the last one is lost out there somewhere.(I was told that it would arrive before 23/5/07) I tried to track down where my order is but failed to locate it, any help that you guys can offer?

Cosmetic surgery laser books are a dime a dozen. This does not apply to this book. Its marvelous.

Although this book is quite expensive, I think it's prettyhelpful. It has some useful tips that have helped me. However, it's alittle boring and excessive in some places...

This children's book describes the most important day of the year in a small Guatemalan village, Santiago Sacatepequez. This small village is known worldwide for making beautiful barrieletes, (the Guatamalan word for kites) for Day of the Dead. People come to celebrate this holiday from all around the world to see the kites flown on Día de los Muertos. This book uses photographs and text to outline how these kites are made, and how they are so important to both Día de los Muertos and the community of Mayan-descendants that make them. A sad note at the end of the book notes that the photographs that comprise the book were taken in the 1970s, before a tragic civil war that resulted in many Mayan deaths, but that the tradition of making paper kites out of papel de china (colored tissue paper) still lives on in contemporary times.

A nice little book of braiding and twisting styles. Most are easy to learn, and the illustrations are pretty good. I had a problem seeing the completed hairstyle because the photos were black and white. There are quite a few Afro-American styles that looked nice and seemed easy to accomplish. The book is a paperback and a little on the small side, probably 4x6 inches. Simple, and easy instructions.
