Beauty Books

Absolutely wonderful but sadly very rare. Written faithfully to episodes of the marvellous Beauty and the Beast tv series from the late eighties. I will treasure it.

A wonderful fairytale for my 4 year-old daughter who is fascinated with all Disney heroines and princesses. It is a great addition to her collection of Disney read alongs. The read-along tape often keeps her entertained as much as if I were reading to her.

Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack is outstanding. We bought it for our four year old daughter after seeing the Broadway production in Boston. She absolutely loves it. She consistently plays it on her toy tape recorder. It is also the most requested tape while riding in the car. The soundtrack has the quality and clarity that the stage show possessed. It even contains the narration and some of the speaking parts. This soundtrack is a must for anybody who loves Beauty and the Beast.

I was delighted by this first season episode guide and highly reccommend it to fans of the TV series. It includes several large B&W photos, as well as interviews and bio info on cast and creators of the show. If you are a fan like me you must have this in your collection!

The story you know and love, by "Marie LePrince de Beaumont," with afterword by Jean Cocteau. The book is illustrated by Hilary Knight, (who also illustrated the "Eloise" children's books written by Kay Thompson). Illustrations are in a sort of Art Nouveau style, but have a very 1960s look, too. There are 15 full-color illustrations in this book. Printed in Italy. Large print.

Jeanne Marie Leprince de Beaumont was a French novelist who lived from 1711 - 1780. Her version of the traditional fairy tale is actually an abridgement of an earlier work (1740) by Madame Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. De Beaumont's version was first published in 1756.

Jean Cocteau is significant because he directed the French movie of Beauty and the Beast (La Belle et la B?te) which was made in 1946.

Whether you read Hambly for her fiction or her fantasy, you can trust her books will always be good. This one is great. You should read it.

I have always been facinated with Howard Hughes the entrepeneur, the visionaire, the inventor. After reading this book, I am more impressed with his charitable nature and his simple, uncomplicated caring for the rest of his fellow humans. What an incredible man!!

I found this book to be very captivating. If escape is what you're looking for , then here you'll find it. Kennedy has a brilliant way of taking you places with her words that few other's are capable of. In this book, she balances between a clean Christian story, and a romantic and sensual plot that is second to none!
