Beauty Books

I had over 250 books on health, nutrition, and fitness. I threw them all out except two, this and "What Would Jesus Eat?" THis book provides great advice and is just wonderful to read and reference. I love it! Dr. Aesoph has a great writing style and the book is very well structured. With the other book I mentioned, I used this information to lose 200 pounds and vitalize my health.
I highly recommend this to anyone!

Tammy has assembled an amazing collection of advice on beauty, health, clothing, manners...and soul issues. She knows that a woman's beauty isn't just the outside but what glows from the inner life. For those of us who didn't grow up very savvy about cosmetics and beauty treatments, she makes that part of a woman's life more easily understood (so that's the style glasses that goes with my face!). This would be a great book to buy and take to the beauty shop to leave for other patrons to browse. It's a thousand notches above the celebrity magazines usually found in such places.

Book by M. J. Saffon. Detailed exercises given, with lots
of photos. Easy to find the exact exercise you want to deal
with whatever 'problem' area you want to work on. Book also includes information on how to cleanse your skin & how to take care of it. Also gives instructions for an "Instant Hollywood Face Lift" that uses clear tape.

This book is fabulous. It has everything on fashion in the 1920s. My daughter was doing a project on 1920s fashion and she found this book very helpful.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is trying to improve their marriage (or any other close, personal relationship) no matter how good or bad the relationship is at the time.

The book is short, easy to read, and positive. It contains 30 exercises that can each be completed in half an hour or less. These powerful and effective exercises are designed to be done individually and work even if your spouse does not do them at all.

The book showed me how to focus on practical ways that I could take control of a situation that felt completely out of control by focusing on my attitudes, behaviors, and thoughts. Even though I thought I had done everything I could do the exercises helped me make some personal breakthroughs that allowed me to make real improvements in our marriage by only changing my own approach to it. Even though I was already familiar with most of the principals in the book and had done some of the exercises before as part of other self improvement programs, I found that doing them again in the context of the marriage I was in was invaluable.

I experienced real improvement after just the first two days. This book gave me more than hope that there was a solution out there, it gave me real tools to move into a better marriage.

If you only read one book on how to save your marriage, I would recommend this one.

This is an easy read. The book is filled with helpful, practical and relevant principles for life. As a husband, father and homeowner, I found the book to be very relevant and helpful. The bonus tips at the end of each chapter are worth the price of the book. Highly recommended.

I'm a watercolorist and a constant dieter. With all the talk of low carbs, I almost forgot the importance of fruits and vegetables to health and weight control until I found this book! Artist Mindy Weisel and her daughers present a very well balanced -- but beautiful approach -- to weight loss. I loved the recipes and the special skin care treatments at the end of each day. Color is an inspiring way to taste all the fruits and vegetables of summer! I lost weight slowly but steadily and felt better and better on The 7-Day Color Diet.

Accent Beauty, is a wonderful book. It's a great way to reward yourself without 'breaking' the bank. It also makes an ideal gift for anyone and any ocassion. It is easy to read and delightful for teens and young adults of all ages. Not too long ago, books that were written especially for black women were almost non-existent. Accent Beauty was, is and will remain a symbol of those who dared to walk, talk, dress, exhude and place the accent on the phrase, "Black IS Beautiful!" I hope Ms. Johnson writes another book. I'm waiting to read it!!!!
