Healing with Energy!!!Review Date: 2008-04-09
This book is AWESOME !Review Date: 2008-04-09
Grateful for this fountain of wisdomReview Date: 2008-03-09
Grateful for the practical techniques making every healing session more powerful and creative.
I have studied Light, magic and healing with Starr Fuentes before, and this book making it easier for me to take the spiritual teachings and downloads and manifest them as a healer on the physical plane.
My favorite teachings in this book is the work with the four elements, and being re-minded to take myself out of the way so in full presence the source can heal through our physical vessel.

A Remarkable BookReview Date: 2008-01-16
I also used this book to ease my own arthritic joint pain on my left hand and amazingly, it worked on that too! It is so very difficult for a healer to self heal, but with HEALING WITH ENERGY it is much earier to do so.

Another spiritual masterpiece by DoloresReview Date: 2007-07-10
If you were looking for a follow-up to the Shining Paths...Review Date: 2004-12-13
The Song of SilenceReview Date: 2003-07-11
I recommend this book as well for the beginning student as for the advanced student on the path of magic; Dolores is one of the greatest teachers of our time who is truly able to 'tap into the Universe' herself; she is original and inspiring.
She has the skill to make abstract ideas and images very accessible. Her writing style is very personal, when you read her book it is almost like she is sitting in your home and telling you her story, and in the mean time she seduces you to take on a gigantic amount of Work. But you know what... you will love it.
Compassionate and healingReview Date: 2003-07-05
It provides the reader with clear instructions on how to work with the letters. A beautifully written prayer begins each chapter, setting the scene for her ideas about and analysis of each letter. A clear picture of each letter is included. Her instructions for how to use each letter in meditation, as well as a ritual specifically written for each letter, are all included.
In her introduction, Ashcroft-Nowicki sets out a course of study for the entire alphabet. Students can do as much with these instructions as they wish. As one follows along in the book, the idea of how to heal the self of past hurts and sadness is clearly built up. This is a powerful, compassionate process, reflecting the personality of the author of the book, and of course even more reflecting the true nature of the letters themselves.
I have known the author for many years and want to disclose this to be honest in this review. However, long before I met her I had read some of her books, and the way her writing spoke to me--the way she presents ideas--was what drew me to meet her eventually. But even if I had never met her, I would be writing an identical opinion of the book. If you have any interest in these letters, which form the basis of one of the world's great religions and also contribute so much to the Western Mystery Tradition, read this book.
An Illuminating experienceReview Date: 2003-06-20
Having said that I was totally "blown away" on first reading through "Illuminations". So much so that I have put aside all my other books (I normally have about 4 or 5 on the go at anyone time) and restarted it to use it in the way it is meant to be used - as deep meditative study. I will not attempt to spoil your adventure by describing the contents, but will only catechise you to go out and buy this book.
You will not regret it.
Comment by Gareth Knight:
"This may not be the Qabalism of the library guru or of
the ivory tower esotericist, but it is a sleeves-rolled-up, no-nonsense approach to practical occult development, that at
the same time maintains the essential sense of reverence to the divine power that the alphabet of the secret wisdom represents."
Comment
by Stanley Cohen:
"Her (Dolores) work is to be applauded as it is crucial to our humanity that we understand His ways from
within ourselves. I hope that this book enables each reader to become more aware of those eternal fundamental truths that
lie within his or her innermost being."

Reiki Cards......a must for the dedicated practitionerReview Date: 2006-08-09
My deepest apologies to Frans and Bronwen, but with todays "Fast Food Approach and Commercializtion of Reiki"......I was affraid you had sold-out or gone crazy.....lol.....I am sure you understand......
But true to Frans and Bronwen's love of Reiki, and the techniques that have somehow fallen away from most teachings of Reiki, and keeping it true to its origins...... the cards are a wonderful educational tool for ones self improvement a clear and easy to understand self-meditation, healing, clearing and cleansing techniques. Although it is still advisable to study, or take classes when available, to gain a fuller understand of the techniques and the spiritual aspects.
As true leaders and educators in Reiki, they have seperated the Traditional and Non-Traditional (new age inspired) techniques.
My sincere hope is that the cards are only used as they were intended.....a self improvement , healing and learning tool.
Keeping Reiki True to its origings
Blessed Be

A wonderful tool for self healingReview Date: 2006-11-15
The booklet gives very clear thoughts on how the cards can be used by someone who wants to work energetically and spiritually on themselves.
There are 45 cards and they cover a wide range of well chosen and clearly explained techniques including simple meditations, hand healing and practices to help us work with the energy that all living things have.
They are designed to be chosen one at once - this is the intuition bit - and then the chosen card is worked with for a number of days.
For someone learning Reiki these cards could be used as a valuable tool to strengthen their energy work and connection, giving confidence and adding breadth and depth to their practice.
For someone teaching Reiki they are a great resource for Reiki Shares. Group work where the students each pick a card to work with is fun. Each of the techniques can be tried by the group. Then each student can work with the technique they have chosen until the next meeting. This causes a lot of sharing and discussion about all sorts of Reiki and spirituality related topics. It also gives the students a solid practice in between meetings.
For someone who has not taken a Reiki class the cards can be used to start exploring self healing and this can progress at their own pace. Working with these cards before a class would give the student an excellent grounding to base their Reiki study on.

What a wonderful tool!Review Date: 2006-11-16
The deck is wonderfully illustrated and each exercise is simple and easy to follow, the explanations are clear and so far I am finding the exercises highly beneficial!
For those who do practice Reiki the deck is an ideal tool for forming a routine that is varied and interesting, you could pick one card a day to add to your energy work or maybe one card and work on the tool for a week and see what develops. Reiki shares would benefit from this, maybe everyone could pick a seperate card and work on it then tell the group how they found the exercise or the group could all work on the same card together. For teachers, maybe you could give a student the choice to pick a card and work on it until you meet up at your next class where they could tell you how they found it.
As you can see the deck has numerous uses and that has to be one of its best elements, you can use the tools in as many different was as you can think up!
Lets just hope that Frans and Bronwen Stiene keep researching on behalf of the reiki community and continue to provide us with the high standard of books and tools that we are used to seeing from them.......eagerly awaiting the next!

Valuable Reading for Aikidoka, Regretfully Poor Binding.Review Date: 1999-12-18
Unfortunately, I must in honesty say that Destiny Publishers has failed in their effort to provide a lasting medium for the words of William Gleason. My paperback copy of this book disintegrated into a handful of loose pages before I was halfway finished. It is truly a testament to the inspirational worth of this book to me personally, that I overcame my impatience and finished it despite this.
Still, I would rate this a "must read" for anyone seriously interested in Aikido - regretfully, I cannot lend you my copy.

A Genuinely Valuable Addition to the Qigong LiteratureReview Date: 2006-01-28
It is clear from the very beginning that this is someone who "walks the talk." Not only does it ring true, but there is also something else that speaks to the authenticity of the book: I was taught many of the exercises by a qigong Master in Nanjing, China, in 1991. And to my knowledge, they have never been published anywhere else.
The book is a fascinating narrative, as well as a set of practices. It does not attempt to provide details of some of the very interesting research that is being done into qigong, so it will not convince a sceptic. Unless he or she will give it a try!
Enjoyable and empowering!
A true gem waiting to be discovered. Review Date: 2005-09-15
Finally someone has communicated, in terms we can understand, - and literally FEEL - how to connect with this seemingly mysterious force called "qi" (pronounced "chee" - life force energy) and how to establish a life-long relationship with it through a gentle daily practice. While there is much to read about and reflect on in content, what this book does so well, with each chapter, is paint a picture of what "qi" is and what it feels like through the sensitivity of this master. Beyond any visual image or mental concept that might be conjured up, this picture is a feeling - the very essence of something subtle yet powerful, something ever-changing, vibrant and alive - as life itself. This is not a picture easily painted but Katherine Orr does it with grace - her writing the very embodiment of this art form itself.
Yes, the easy-to-follow movements in the book are pleasurable and centering (and even easier to follow with the companion DVD), however, what I found most profound about the practices - which are like fluid moving meditations - is their ability to take me beyond mind, to both calm and lift the spirit, to transport and transform. There are so many wonderful and powerful truths presented in this book - read it, experience it for yourself and you will feel yourself tapping in to qi - and to a whole "new," yet ever-present, reality.

Excellent Overview and GuideReview Date: 2007-07-23
Excellent Manual for Novice and Master Alike!!Review Date: 2005-11-25
"The Chakra Handbook" contains all the information that a reader could possibly need at a glance: the color, sound, symbolism, location, mental-emotional-spiritual, as well as crystal & gem coorespondances; it even provides short and effective visualizations! Even though I have been practicing for nearly 10 years, I still turn to my handy "Chakra Handbook" first if I need a refresher on a particular association, or other bit of crucial information.
All of my students who buy this book write back to me absolutely thrilled with its contents!
I highly recommend this book to anyone with an interest in Eastern theory, alternative healing, natural health, or spirituality in general.
Excellent guide to the subtle bodies and chakra healingReview Date: 2003-03-06
The astrological associations are dealt with and various therapies for cleansing and activating the chakras are covered in great detail. These include sound, colour, gemstone, and aroma therapies plus colour meditation and different forms of yoga. In addition, there are chapters on chakra breathing, reflex zone massage and physical exercises for releasing blocked energies. The appendix includes tables on the charkas and their associated factors like symbols, colours, elements, hormones, musical tones and aromas.
The text is enlivened with many black and white figures, illustrations and tables, and the book concludes with a short bibliography. The Chakra-handbook is the most comprehensive work on the subject that I have encountered, providing practical information in a simple, easily understood manner. I highly recommend it to practitioners of esoteric healing and to all readers who are interested in familiarising themselves with their own energy bodies for a more fulfilling and abundant life.

Wise, compassionate lessons more useable than Caroline MyssReview Date: 2002-07-21
As a student of Energetic and Spiritual Healing I have studied many versions of work on the chakras. Although I have attended training and studied the works of Caroline Myss (who seems to be the favourite at the moment) I have to say that for thorough information on the chakras and methods of practically working with them, I prefer Anodea's work (books and audios).

Detailed, well illustrated and understandableReview Date: 2004-09-13
The first half of the book gives a concise review of the basics of chinese energy work and esoteric Taoism. It is laid out in a matter of fact way without any fantasizing or superstitious sillyness.
The second half of the book is a methodical training manual for a powerful chi gung form. Regular practice, even without a teacher, yields results to the capacity of the student. This may be the best way to really learn to experience the flow and feeling of "chi" if you don't have access to a master guide to help.
Highly recommended.
Wild About Wild GooseReview Date: 2000-07-18
First English Text on Wild Goose Style by Lineal Student....Review Date: 2003-03-08
Every necessary topic is covered in this volume, including history (photos of Grandmaster Yan Mei Jun are included), philosophy (this is a Taoist school), Theory (very detailed, many diagrams with explanations), and of course the COMPLETE 64 movement Wild Goose form.
A note on the instructional photographs in this volume: every technique is illustrated by several photographs. The pictures do an excellent job of communicating direction, movement, posture, et cetera. Yu also takes the time with more complex techniques to show common mistakes practitioners should avoid. This is probably one of the best books on physical chi practice out there. I found it to be thorough but not cluttered. Every piece of information fit, and the author's descriptions and explanations were easlily understood in the context of traditional belief and practice.
