This book is terrible. Poorly written, poorly conceived. Please don't waste your money or your time.
Zero stars.
I trusted the publishers--who seem in general to have very good taste. I highly recommend all of Antal Szerb's books.

This book was a BIG disappointment. The quality was poor. It had lots of pages that just duplicated information presented
on previous pages. The marketing information was VERY basic. There were no ideas presented that specifically pertained to
Reiki. Most Reiki practioners are probably already doing many of the things the author suggests (business card, flyers, ads,
info sessions). You would be better off purchasing a book written by someone who has years of experience and expertise in
MARKETING. I learned my lesson. In the future, I will purchase Reiki books written by Reiki practioners and MARKETING books
written by MARKETING professionals. To make this review helpful, I will recommend Harry Beckwith's book, Selling the Invisible.
Afterall, Reiki is "INVISIBLE"!

The WORST book I ever read

The effective information in this book could be reduced to 3 pages.
The book is full of typos and gramatical errors. It jumps to random subjects at random times. It lacks any kind of organization. It lacks any documentation to its qutations, stories, testimonials and statements of fact with the exception of a few web references and a very small reading list at the end.
It's not uncommon to see passages like "A local newspaper reports...", "Someone once said ...", "A paper said..."
It reads like a C paper from a junior High english class.
The author does Rife a disservice by daring to print such a mass of random data. It even includes an erratta sheet correcting a false statement which is repeated throughout the book but not corrected elsewhere.
Nothing in this book is reliable. Little is of much use. One entire chaper is a made up story - it says so. The final chapter, where you think you might actually learn something, entitled "Construction Basics" starts with "The following is an intentionally vague overview..."

Mr. Farly does no one a service with this book. Get "The Cancer Cure that Worked" by Barry Lynes instead.

This guy Mantiak Chia is amazing; he's kind of "Chopra Taoist" with dozen of books. I acknowledge him as a real Taoist and
Tai Chi Master. He's for real, with a very strong background in internal martial arts and taoism (Iron Shirt Chi Kung is EXCELLENT)BUT
most of his new books are kind of "New Age bla bla bla". If you want to know the Real Thing about Tai Chi Chuan and Baguazhang
as Real Martial Arts, and strong Chi Kung, I strongly suggest to be in touch with Erle Montaigue. He's the ONLY known internal
Master who is not after your money and you would NEVER face him on streets.

This is a rambling, incoherent book that offers little insight about how real people can help their kids through the teen
years. Examples: Chapter Nineteen, "Choice" of suport system. "The choice of a support system is very important. Enrolling
my children into the Waldorf and Montessori school systems allowed me to learn a new way of looking at life." Wow, good for
her. The chapter then goes on for paragraph after paragraph about all the confidence boosting decisions she's made in her
life. I'm really happy she felt good about herself when she learned to golf at age 40, but wait, isn't this book about teens
mattering? Ooops, guess not.

Negative energy started rising while I was reading this book. Halftway through I have to stop because I felt my throat chakra stuffed.
Anyone has some knowledge of Tibetan culture should know Tibetan language is totally different from Chinese. "Wei Chi" is definately not a name for a Tibetan some 5000 years old. "Wei Chi" is not even a name for Chinese if you know how Chinese name works. Not necessarily all one-sylable words can make out to mean Chinese, and not necessarily all Chinese words can be chosen for naming. The book also at some place mentioned that Wei Chi was incarnated of some one from India 5000 year ago. This brought even more confusion.
It is true that we do not know the true origin of Reiki, but that doesn't mean we have to pay US$9.99 for a bowl of oriental chop-suey.
This is definately not a book for Reiki beginners or someone who just started exploring the world of Reiki. The one star is for Reiki teachers who can use this for contrast teaching.
I suggest the writers to do more study on the oreintal culture, especially Chinese, Tibetan, and Hindu, and of course buddhism which ties the three countries. I would also suggest the writers to study Reiki further. Some of the misconcption about Reiki mentioned in the book is not true Reiki, why a 5000-year soul who claimed to be the creater of Reiki symbols would have such human misconception?
