This cassette of chants by Harish Johari is lovely. There are no musical accompaniments and feature only his gravelly baritone. Indeed, not much else is required. He has an extremely pleasing voice and within a few minutes of listening to a side of the cassette, a calm envelopes the listener and one begins to feel uplifted. This cassette will prove particularly helpful when the listener would like to quiet the frenetic pace of thoughts, but is unable to do so because of present circumstance.

The cassette consists of two chants - one on each side - repeated for approximately half an hour.
You will not regret buying it. It will provide you with great satisfaction.

This is one of those very few books that is able to give a solid, concrete introduction to a very complicated subject matter that a beginner can grasp but at the same time manages to give pointers and insights that will benefit very seasoned and experienced practioners. It is a very practical and user friendly book devoid of the sometimes confusing jargon and terminolgy often found in similar books. It should be of interest to tai chi and chi gung practioners as well as other martial artists and anyone interested in improving their health. Highly recommended.

this book is not only information but also explains the how to. if you have a background in massage or bodywork you can incorporate many of the techniques immediately and understand what you are doing.

Series 2 is the continuation of A Course in Light, that brings you through the experience of the Astral Etheric layer of your consciousness. The astral/etheric energy is the energy that is connected to the magnetic aura - however only one aspect of our aura is captured on film (Aura Photos) which is related to our current state of mind, emotion & perceptions. To observe the aura you will notice an ever evolving and changing signature that is directly affected by the mind aspect. Outside of this layer are other energy signatures that are more closely related to your spiritual state of being - this is what i call the spiritual aura/body and is the level at which we activate our chakra centers with A Course in Light. To truly perceive each other in our highest form, as beings of light, requires that we are able to still our own being to see beyond the emotions & mental energy by centering within the light of our higher self. This is a beautifully written book. The knowledge and understanding of crystals is very evident. The book details ways in which the reader can utilize and embrace crystals for personal transformation, healing and details how everyone can create a balanced state of energy in order to manifest their dreams into reality. This is a lovely informative book !

Beautifully illustrated with drawings and real people in the different exercise positions. Good explanations of the postures and how to perform them. If you are a Dahn Yoga member this book will help you to understand better how to perform the exercises and the benefits derived from each exercise too. If you are not a Dahn Yoga member and are looking to understand this type of exercise program and the benefits this book will really help you too.

My only suggestion would be that this book would be better if it was made in a spiral bound edition, so that you could open it and lay it flat. But you could always have it made into a spiral book at your local printer (like Kinkos) for a few dollars.

This book is the most complete and comprehensive source of information on Damanhur that I have come across. A must read for any person interested in knowing about this community in detail. What's more, it is in English which is ideal for English speaking people interested in Damanhur, because currently English info on this community is relatively limited.

Having recently lived at Damanhur for one month, and also considering moving there, I was interested in known as much as possible about the community on many levels. Speaking almost no Italian I found it hard to get detailed information on Damanhur from the people there. Not because they are not helpful (quite the opposite) but simply because there are so many people, spread out over a wide area, and each informed person deals with different aspects of the community, and many don't speak a lot of English. Simply put, getting a clear picture of Damanhur (the people, the history, the way of life, etc. etc.) was proving slow to say the least. After one month I knew little more than I had already obtained from Damanhur info on the Internet.

This book came to the rescue. Big time.

It covers a broad range of topics related to life at Damanhur. Such as the artwork, the temples, their social structure, how it came to be, the founder, their spiritual views, their rituals, their economic structure, the Seven Ways (spiritual paths for those living in Damanhur), and many other topics.

I found this book to be both thorough in its exploration and very objective. The author has conducted many interviews and part or full transcriptions of many of these are included in the book. The book also has 8 full page colour photos and many black and white photos throughout.

If you are interested in knowing more about Damanhur in detail then this is the book to buy and read. ALso, beyond just learning more about Damanhur, this book is a must read for any person interested in Intentional Community. Perhaps you wish to live in one or start one? Damanhur is most certainly one of the most successful and longest standing community projects I know of in the world and therefore has a lot to offer in terms of how to go about establish a functional and long-term community.
