Reiki Books

There is a lot of wisdom in this book and I do not doubt Dr. Sha's abilities but I do feel concerned about the servitiude, bowing and homage required by his people. I quote the words of Patricia Cori in her book "The Cosmos of Soul" channeled from the Sirian High Council. "From the metaphysical aspect, we view the knees as your point of obedience, resignation, fear, and servitude, and we assure you that a loving God would not encourage these energies within you. Why then, we ask, are you kneeling....?"

This book is a great treasure. The aspect I like most is that there are many practical and easy-to-do healing as well as rejuvernating techniques that we can apply everytime everywhere. Simple as it seems; however, the results are truly amazing:

About two weeks ago, the students in my dormitory had a party at night. They made noise that made it difficult to sleep. I then started applying on technique given in the book by inviting the souls of these students and singing the song Love, Peace, and Harmony. After chanting silently few minutes, the students became much more quiet. I am very grateful to have a sound sleep that night.

The Soul Order wisdom is also very powerful. If I had a bit not so comfortable feeling I just ask the Soul Order to help me. Amazingly, I feel much better in a matter of minutes.

In summary, I would highly encourage you to purchase this book for yourselve and anyone that you love. You can make yourself and others by such a decision.

The power of soul is the power to heal and transform all our lives. When we open ourselves to the divine, we can receive great gifts. In return, we are giving the ability to provide service to others.

Power of the Soul contains a variety of attunements or downloads as the author calls them. These tools can be used for self healing and transformation. They can also be used for the greater good.

As the book says, healing is a process. It takes time and there is a progression in the way healing works. It all starts at the soul level.

I found this audiobook to be almost impossible to listen to. While I am a fan of all introspective types of books that make one contemplate our existence, I found this one to be almost laughable. The reader's accent is very difficult to understand for one. But even so, the idea of soul "downloads" seemed ludicrous to me, along with many of the other concepts that this person claims are being transmitted through him from some higher power. I truly do not understand all of the 5 star ratings this book got; I have to believe that the author has some kind of following that I don't understand. I've never written a review before, but found myself compelled to write about this one. I was so totally disappointed in the purchase. Or maybe I just don't get it.

This is terrible book that is poorly written and full of repetition. I don't know how this got on your recommendation list. I am an avid reader of spiritual books and this book certainly doesn't measure up technically or in content.

I am suspicious that there was some kind of corruption involved that such a low quality book got on a recommendation list. And I feel cheated since I purchased the book based upon this recommendation.

It is with mixed feelings that I write this- The world DOES need a soul movement - and Dr. Sha's teachings are based on some basic truths and provide empowering tools that can provide benefit...

But, I'm just not sure it needs the ultra-organized commercialized dogma of the Dr.Sha "Mission":

First of all, similar to his previous books, don't be duped by the "best seller" status or 5 star ratings:

1) members of the Mission contribute thousands of dollars in lieu of `blessings' from Master Sha as a part of a `book campaign' - these funds are used directly by Master Sha's institute to internally buy books from retailers 2 or 3 at a time to falsely and unethically stage the book's popularity (Google "Dr Sha book campaign" if you don't believe me)
2) members of the Mission are urged to write positive reviews about Master Sha's books, and get discounts for it...thus all the prosaic 5 star reviews.

It's not really that they want to sell lots of books - they want to attract more members to the Mission- i.e. to join the Sunday Blessings and the Retreats....which is where the real money is made. It's not that unlike this story: google "Did dirty tricks create a best-seller"

Sure, the members deeply believe that they are promoting truth (indeed, other religions have done much worse in the name of God)...but personally, I don't find these methods to be all that `saintly'(it might even be karmic)... if there are real truths in the book and the Mission it would sell itself on its own merit like most best sellers do.

And what `services' does Master Sha offer at his blessings and retreats? Well, Master Sha believes that he is a "Channel" of the Divine, and he (and only he) has been given special powers. So he (and only he) can offer you- via the "Dr Sha dot com" channel (check it out for yourself):
- Divine Protection against every imaginable hazard
- clear your Karma for $2000. just like that - no followup or practice or nothing...even Dr, Sha calls it a "short cut"
- Transplants for diseased organs
- Body Soul Transplant for $5000 (not explicitly listed in the web site, but it is a prerequisite, among others, to be come a Master Teacher Healer)
- Etc.
(actually, you can usually get the blessings for less because there is always a last minute special to appeal to the "shoppers")

What is a Body Soul Transplant? You current soul leaves you and a new soul (a saint) chooses you. Its sad that some people are so down they feel they need a brand new soul....and I guess all the poor folks have little chance at becoming a saint...how exclusive.

By the way, for the higher services, you aren't told the cost of these until you apply first, in which Dr. Sha receives Divine guidance in whether he should accept you. Imagine trying to say no after the Divine supposedly accepted you (but of course, these are "priceless treasures").

But that's just the tip of the iceberg...the later chapters of his books speak of the higher Soul Transformations etc. The "highest" downloads for the `chosen' ones are offered only at the "invitation only" retreats (i.e. for those who have `passed' the previous courses)...

Dr Sha's Sunday blessings are as follows:
He offers a free blessing (download). Then his top assistants (the "professionals" on "dr sha dot com" who have gone through the full Soul transformation and have received all the highest downloads so that their souls reside in their highest chakra and they can see with their third eye- paid for either with $ or Universal Service(tm) to the Mission) describe what they saw. Then all the people who have registered get their downloads. That's it.

Yes, the downloads might feel empowering, but inevitably you are left wanting more...if the top assistants can really see with their third eye, wouldn't you want that too? Well you can get there by getting the downloads, becoming indoctrinated through the courses and practice practice practice (the practice e.g. chanting, empowering statements etc can make you feel good) - till you believe it (or some would say become deluded?)

So inevitably, most are drawn to take the courses and to become a Universal Servant (requires you to volunteer time to the non-profit Institute that does all the `work' - whereas payments go to Dr Zhi Gang Sha LLC.). The courses all link together and coax you higher and higher, with the light at the end of the tunnel that eventually you might be able to charge for your services, like the "Professionals" on the web site - it's the classic pyramid marketing scheme.

But here is the hard part for me: people DO feel better... faith in the empowerments can help heal. But any one will feel better if they spend time getting out of their thinking brain and doing some chanting, setting good intentions, and having faith that they are empowered to make choices to make their lives better. And the collective energy at (any) group retreats is very powerful and healing. Why not rejoice in that - it might be the piece some people really need...

But when that collective energy at the retreat is highest, and people are feeling their best, that is when Dr. Sha `suggests' that his downloads can make you even better....which is made so easily done by sticking your personal barcode on a form (& voila, your credit card is charged). It's so effective that retreat registrants have to sign a legal disclaimer saying that all though the downloads are `priceless', they must spend `within their means". From my experience, few of the faithful do, unless you call credit card bills and liquidation of savings as `within your means". (many retreat attendees spend 10's of thousands)

Seems like Dr. Sha is selling water to people standing in a river. It's a shame that our consumerist society thinks we can `buy' everything. Its part of the reason we need a true soul movement.

Members of the Mission have made a huge leap of faith to jump on these tracks. But the light at the end of the tunnel might just be an oncoming train. After investing so much, it might take an even bigger leap of faith to get off...

Could you use a little divine guidance? Do you have questions about your life purpose? Would you like to know how to better use your talents? Would you like to give service the divine?

Soul Communication guides the reader step by step to open up a channel of communication with the divine. Using a variety of meditations and visualizations, the author shows how to prepare the body and then retrieve attunements or downloads as he calls them. Then, he provides important information about how to go about building upon this foundation.

The one thing that really stuck out for me about the author's work is his detail to gratitude. So often, we are taught to ask for guidance in a variety of different ways but we aren't encouraged to say thank you.

Soul Communication: Opening Your Spiritual Channels for Success and Fulfillment by Zhi Gang Sha is a book that teaches you how to communicate with your soul the souls of others and even the souls of animals. The author teaches a consciousness of healing not only of body but the mind, spirit and even the heart. The author teaches you how to communicate with angels and directly with the Divine.
If you are still searching for spiritual enlightenment May I suggest you read my book as well.

Something is wrong when someone tries to convince you that you need thousands of dollars of work by a spiritual intermediary in order for your business, relationship, health and pet to be well all the while telling you that you can do it yourself.

When Dr. Sha gives "free" group healing via phone, the sessions last for a few hours. Less than one hour into it, Dr. Sha's most expensive package is being heavily promoted. Less expensive options appear to be ignored.

Dr. Sha has an extensive marketing campaign to sell books and "healing". Do a Google search using the search term "dr sha book campaign" and click on the first link (Tao Bums) to read more on Dr. Sha's marketing. This also contains info on how the Dr. Sha machine gets Amazon to delete critical reviews.

This book is no different from any of the others Sha has written -- they all seek to get desperate people to spend thousands of dollars to be "healed" or "cleansed".

I have no issue with people charging for their services. Everyone has to earn a living. Sha charges a few hundred to several thousand dollars for things like (I quote): Karma Cleansing - Personal - $1000; Karma Cleansing - Ancestral, Mothers' Side - $1500; Karma Cleansing - Pet - $500, and the list goes on.

He has a campaign right now for his next book comes out in early June (Divine Soul Songs). He offers the "cleanses" in exchange for people taking the money they would have spent on cleanses and using it to buy the number of books that would equal that cost, and then give them out to people. In other words, Sha gets you to spend your money to promote his book. This information is at his website.

Bottom line -- there are so many people who share their knowledge for reasonable amounts of money there is no reason to believe that "Dr. Sha" has something you need that you can't get elsewhere. IMO, Sha is the opposite of what he wants people to believe. I'll leave it at that.

The book has certain value and would be way better without commercialization and the exclusivity (also bunch of fake reviews here don't add credibility either).
The instructions on soul communication and messages interpretation are sound and I'd rate about 80% real (e.g. you need to filter out about 20% of the material).
Overall the book is harmless and positive (deserves 4 starts but marked down because of the fake reviews)

I have been on the spiritual path for a little over 10 years and this book adds a new awareness to my inner spiritual journey. Thanks...it is a wonderful book.

I had studied Barbara Brennan's "Light" books years ago. Donna Eden made the information so simple and direct, it immediately changed my outlook on quite a few of my life's issues. The results were dramatic and I'm still reading this book on a daily basis to confirm and enhance these changes. I've even talked friends and family into ordering their own copies. This is the most impressive book that I've had the pleasure of reading in many years.

Bottom Line: Buy it
This book is FANTASTIC. Why? Well, because it is written for those who want to take their health into a more alternative direction, but are at a loss maybe what to do. In a word, self empowerment.
It explains kinesiology, and how you can muscle test with a partner to uncover what's going on in your body (and you don't need to go to medical school).
Plus, it's loaded with energy exercises you can do. From working with magnets, to the chakras, to clearing out each organ's neurolymphatics, clearing and tracing the meridians, to spiritual exercises when you need help realigning your energy, to a dental chart and what tooth corresponds to what organ, and the list goes on. This has more exercises littered through the pages than any other book I've ever come across.
I reference this book a lot, and highly recommend it, would also recommend the Touch for Health book by Thie.

The energy exercises in this book are easy and once you learn them, you can do most of the them without anyone even knowing. I was able to learn them by reading and looking at the pictures but when I saw the video, it was even more helpful. I highly recommend this book. Donna Eden shares wonderful stories of patients and even her own journey about how she got started. This book has encouraged me to seek an education in Touch for Health. The only downside for the lay person would be the meridians. If you haven't studied acupuncture, you will have difficulty trying to follow/find the meridians. It will definitely take some practice and memorization. Most of the exercises can be done alone or with a partner. It's fun to practice on others and see how changes occur after energy testing. Most of the people I taught have experienced immediate changes and felt lighter or more alert. It was interesting to witness first-hand someone who is stressed tell you that they feel a difference in their body, just by tapping on an area of the body and breathing.

I originally read this book when it came out about 10 years ago. I found it interesting, but didn't do the exercises. However, it stayed in the back of my mind, and I knew that someday I wanted to take a class from Donna. I recently had the opportunity to do so, and now I'm hooked on energy medicine.

When you see Donna in person, you realize that she is her own best advertisement for what she teaches. She radiates vitality, health, and joy, and you just know that it is possible for you to feel this way as well.

I am now practicing my 5 minute routine twice a day, and am working with an energy medicine practitioner to fine tune my energy. As someone who has suffered for years with adrenal fatigue, I'm amazed at how my energy level is improving. I'm actually coming home from work with energy to spare, instead of feeling absolutely wiped out. That in itself is a miracle.

Also, anyone who works with the public knows how exhausting some people can be. Some of my customers and coworkers are "energy vampires", and I would get totally wiped out around them. Thanks to Donna, I now use routines to protect myself from undesirable drains on my energy, and I am feeling so much better. I lock myself in the bathroom for a bit of "Expel the Venom" and "Zip Up", and I'm good as new.

I highly recommend this book, along with the Energy Medicine Kit. In 5 minutes a day, you can start to turn your life around. Thanks, Donna!

I had very bad neck pains due to stress. Doctors prescribed muscle relaxants, but after doing Chi Kung neck exercises and the exercises, I have finally found relief. I truly believe these Chi Kung exercises work. Even my doctor testified to these exercises.

I thought it was wonderful. So easy to understand and follow the movements; along with lovely personal ancedotes and helpful nutritional information in the text.

I usually don't write reviews about the books I bought, but I felt that I should do it about this one after reading the amazing review from the "avid reader".

I have the book, I have done the exercises, and from my experience, I can tell you that they work, very easilly. In fact, I felt to my surprise the movement of chi in my body, the first time I did the first exercise. What else can you want from a book that actually delivers what his writer promises?
I have the book and also the videos from the same author. In those you can hear several persons reporting the "miracle cures" that ocurred with them, that this "almost" costumer complains about.
You know that is something that puzzles me: how can a person criticize a book that he doesn't know (he doesn't bought it, and as so he didn't invest time reading it,and doing the exercises)? How can a person judges a work "from the table of contents"?
If any of you is decided to buy the book and invest your time in these exercises I guarantee you'll be positively susprised.

One last thing: English is not the only language in this world, and when someone write a review in a foreign language usually makes mistakes. That is natural fact. I would like to see this gentleman trying to do a review in a foreign language without errors.

I am in awe of this man who calls himself Luk Chun Bond, it could be James Bond for all we know, who is a true master of the martial arts that not many can even begin to realise just what it takes to become one. Just read his book, The First 16 Secrets of Chi, and you will have a idea of what it means to sacrifice your life to what you believe in, no matter what field of endeavour you attempt to achieve. And to think he once shared part of his art for free, for years and years to whomever and whatever, no questions ask, just come and be healthy and happy, unheard of in this age of money, money and more money. Read the book first, then you will have a small idea of what this "man" is all about. By the way I had my book autographed which to me is priceless.

And all of them from first-time reviewers, many of whom seem to be struggling with english and making the identical mistakes, and each of them writing reviews of roughly the same length, and most of them reporting miracle cures for some ailment of other??? Puh-leeze. Instant healing just does NOT happen with Qigong. It's not supposed to.

The story available in the "Look Inside" link on this website is ridiculous. Did Deng Ming Dao write this book as a ghost writer?

If you want a reputable, reliable Qigong book, look to Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming or Roger Jahnke. These very excellent, well-established, highly esteemed authors don't have as many reviews combined as the unknown Luk Chun Bond has for this one book! Believe me, that reflects more on Bond than on them.

The excersises in this particular book, judging from the table of contents, may be good, but the insecurity demonstrated by the bogus reviews here and the make-believe story in the introduction cast a poor light on the book from the get-go. If the "sixteen secrets" are just sixteen basic Qigong excercises and some diet tips, then where's the secret?

And to think, I *almost* ordered it.

This reiki book is excellent whether you have been doing reiki for a long time or a short time. I have only been using reiki for 2 months. Steve Murray's DVD's and books made it possible for me to use reiki with confidence. His programs really work! His mission statement says it all. He makes reiki available and affordable for all.

In the past people marketed Transcendental Meditation (TM) to make large sums of money. The concept of meditation was good but using it to bilk large sums of money from others was just wrong. Reiki is at a crossroads. People must decide if it is to be used just as a money making scheme or for the betterment of mankind. The concept of Reiki works. It has helped many people. But like TM some see Reiki as a way to make large sums of money off others. Steve Murray has taken Reiki and made it available to everyone at a fair price. His books and tapes work. Bravo Steve!

Among a few Reiki books that I purchased lately, Mr. Murray's book really surprised me because it was full of "technical" information but so easy to understand. I then purchased more of his books, DVDs and CD. I was skeptical about the DVD attunement but it works well for me. I'm using it almost every other day and can feel my Reiki energy flows stronger than before. I'm grateful for these programs and now a Reiki Master certified through his program.

I have recommended Mr. Murray's programs to my friends who suffer from health problems or stress.

What can I say about Steve Murray and his work... I have been a Reiki practitioner for over a decade, and I can tell you that Steve's books and DVDs are among my most treasured possessions on my book case. I see his work benefiting both existing Reiki practitioners and those just looking to get started.

Steve's books are like GOLD, as they are actually more comprehensive than the materials provided by most Reiki masters to their students. I am sure that many Reiki Masters must be upset with Steve, as he divulges information that most Reiki Masters believe to be secret, including all the symbols up to Master Level, and the attunement processes. Most Reiki books do not include this information, and have been very disappointing to me.

After buying his first book, I decided, after reading the reviews, I needed to own the others. I currently have all 5 Reiki guides and the Reiki myths book. And, of course, the package would not be complete without the DVDs.

I would say, though, that although the first book is excellent, it is not enough for me. I needed the Visual of the DVDs to bring it all home. So, I don't think that you can buy a single book, read it, and walk away a Reiki Master. Each of his books and DVDs, however, complements the others. With the combination of the Books, DVDs, studying and practice, you CAN BECOME A REIKI MASTER.

What's awesome about the DVDs is that you can take the attunements over and over again. As someone who was attuned in person by a Reiki Master over a Decade ago, I can attest to the DVD attunements as being every bit as effective as in person.

My only criticism is that the whole package should be sold as a complete set, as once you get started, you will want the whole set anyway. However, I guess that most will not want to plunk down that money (even though it is completely reasonable in the scheme of things) without first experiencing the quality of it with the first book.

If you are interested in Reiki, and don't want to waste your time and money with disappointments, just get this material, and you will not regret it.

I own all of Steve's Reiki books and Reiki Attunement DVDs and have found the attunements to be powerful and effective and the companion books (Reiki the Ultimate Guide, Vol. 1-4) to be comprehensive and well written. The chakra information in this book is especially helpful. I commend Steve for making a powerful healing tool available to so many people.

This is a very practical and enlightening little kit - it looks innocent enough but after using these practices when I felt sluggish or yucky and also on my husband who suffers from Spring allergies - I am amazed - we always feel better and I am starting to get deeper into it - I now want to do a weekend with Donna - she is adorable and the work is a must for everyone - be patience and just do as many positions that you can and whenever you can.

For the price, this kit is an incredible deal. It's really the perfect way to start learning about energy and energy medicine. This is going to sound weird to some, but after massaging some lymphatic points as instructed in Donna's video, it seemed like my stomach was flatter the next day. Maybe just a coincidence, but at any rate, this is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. Highly recommend it!

Donna Eden is a leading light in the world of energy healing, and this kit is an excellent introduction to her body of work. I purchased this kit approximately a year ago and just recommended it to a friend. The DVD alone is worth the purchase price, as you will have the opportunity to watch Donna demonstrating the exercises. This is invaluable if you, like me, learn best by seeing concepts in action. The flash cards are useful as well, as you can keep some or all of them with you during the day to ensure that you are performing the exercises correctly. Doing the 5-step energy routine daily will surely make a difference in the way you feel physically, mentally and spiritually.

Although I haven't had any success in substantiaing Donna's energy testing techniques, and this is very disappointing, I can whole-heartedly attest to the value of the practices that she recommends. I have learned other accupressure-related systems and such, but nothing compares to the relief and opening that I feel when consistently following her simple programs. This introductory kit explains many of her most valuable exercises. I was particulary amazed by using the enclosed crystal. I felt the energy in my body reacting as I spun the crystal over different chakras. That was simple interesting, though. It's her basic energy routines that really help me. Regardless of whether you feel energy in your body like me, you will definately feel the relief if you practice her techniques. She sees energy visually, and therefore, has been able to accurately see what is most helpful to aid in balancing the things that your personal stress is throwing out of alignment. This kit is a great value, and an unbelievable bargain for the price.

This is a beautifully presented book. The illustrations are second to none and the first part on human anatomy just couldn't be done any better. But as for the last two thirds of the book, this stuff about energy, ying, yang, new age and the like, it's all too much for me. I shouldn't have agreed to review this book. But that being said, if you're willing to look past traditional thinking, then there's a lot here for you investigate. I've had the book for almost three months and I've gone back to it several times, just to check out this stuff I don't believe in and won't believe in. It's all very interesting and there is a lot of stuff to think about here, that's for sure.

If you're itching to learn all of the various spiritual ways of healing, look no further. The book starts out as kind of a primer on Energy and Healing then in Part II it turns into a primer on Human anatomy. Then with excellent writing and better than excellent illustrations, we get into the meat of the book in Parts III, IV, V and VI, which all deal with energy in healing, from Auric Fields to Acupuncture Points to Chakra, it's all here and so much more. This is a book that'll take awhile to digest, but it's a learning experience. It's exciting and fun too.

Cyndi Dale says on the first page of her introduction that this book will make good healers into great ones. I don't know about that. Great healers are great healers, they don't need this book. That being said there is a lot of info here about different kinds of "healing methods", most of which are interesting as all get out, but I'm not a believer.

The illustrations are excellent and even though I disagree with about eighty percent of the stuff between these pages, the book is very well written, very interesting and done with a ton of class. I've had the book for a couple months now, have peaked at every single page, read most of it and just because I don't agree with it is no reason for me not to give it five stars, because this is certainly a five star effort, no matter what you believe in. This is a worthy addition to any library.

The variety and breadth of knowledge contained within this book is simply astonishing. I've been a student of energetic practices for over 20 years and have never seen anything like this.

Oh sure, every once in awhile I come across a "energy systems of the world" or some such title in a book store. And after a quick skimming of pages, find the same old introductory information - the Traditional Chinese Medicine meridian system, Kundalini and the Chakras, Reflexology, etc. And yes, this book certainly has that. However, it also has information that to my knowledge, has never before been published in the modern world. Where else can one find a detailed analysis of the Incan energy system? Or the Cherokee energy system? This is the only place I have seen them, and for someone who is fascinated by energetic practices, such rare and unique information makes this book an absolute must have.

The impressive content within this book alone is worth 5 stars. But the author provides so much more than pretty pictures and simplistic introductions. This is a highly comprehensive overview of energetic medicine, designed to help bridge the gap between the allopathic and wholistic methods, written in a way that is equally accessible to both medical professionals as well as laymen.

Whether as a reference guide for students and practitioners, or a virtually all-encompassing introduction for medical professionals, this is the most complete resource I have ever seen. I can't recommend it enough.

This is a bible for healers. Its a book you wont want to lend to friends. Once you have it in your hands you dont want to put it down. Great referance book, pure brilliance

Steve Murray's "False Belief's " reiki book was the best reiki book I have read. I had read many others, from other authors, first and they were not complete. The "False Beliefs", book takes away all the garbage information out there and takes the secrecy & mystery out of reiki. I felt comfortable being attuned to reiki after reading Murray's books. I highly recommend it !

I became a 2nd level Reiki healer about 11 years ago and never got sick until I quit practicing a few years ago. Recently I was diagnosed with a health issue so I decided to be in control of my own health again and restarted to practice Reiki.

Among a few Reiki books that I purchased lately, Mr. Murray's book really surprised me because it was full of "technical" information but so easy to understand. I then purchased more of his books, DVDs and CD. I was skeptical about the DVD attunement but it works well for me. I'm using it almost every other day and can feel my Reiki energy flows stronger than before. I'm grateful for these programs and now a Reiki Master certified through his program.

I have recommended Mr. Murray's programs to my friends who suffer from health problems or stress.

What can I say about Steve Murray and his work... I have been a Reiki practitioner for over a decade, and I can tell you that Steve's books and DVDs are among my most treasured possessions on my book case. I see his work benefiting both existing Reiki practitioners and those just looking to get started.

This False Beliefs Book is expecially important to own, because, in exposing the mis-conceptions, what's left is truth. While some will be upset with this book, the truth shall set you free.

Steve's books are like GOLD, as they are actually more comprehensive than the materials provided by most Reiki masters to their students. I am sure that many Reiki Masters must be upset with Steve, as he divulges information that most Reiki Masters believe to be secret, including all the symbols up to Master Level, and the attunement processes. Most Reiki books do not include this information, and have been very disappointing to me.



After buying his first book, I decided, after reading the reviews, I needed to own the others. I currently have all 5 Reiki guides and the Reiki myths book. And, of course, the package would not be complete without the DVDs.



I would say, though, that although the first book is excellent, it is not enough for me. I needed the Visual of the DVDs to bring it all home. So, I don't think that you can buy a single book, read it, and walk away a Reiki Master. Each of his books and DVDs, however, complements the others. With the combination of the Books, DVDs, studying and practice, you CAN BECOME A REIKI MASTER.



What's awesome about the DVDs is that you can take the attunements over and over again. As someone who was attuned in person by a Reiki Master over a Decade ago, I can attest to the DVD attunements as being every bit as effective as in person.



My only criticism is that the whole package should be sold as a complete set, as once you get started, you will want the whole set anyway. However, I guess that most will not want to plunk down that money (even though it is completely reasonable in the scheme of things) without first experiencing the quality of it with the first book.



If you are interested in Reiki, and don't want to waste your time and money with disappointments, just get this material, and you will not regret it.

Great book for any Reiki student or practitioner--not a technical or "how-to" book, but think of it a book of Reiki "FAQs". Clear and concise, this book is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding about this method of healing. I commend Steve for making this knowledge accessible to so many people.

I like Steve Murray's books and DVD's because they are written by a man who truly believes in Reiki and what Reiki can do for everyone. Steve's introduction is quite honest and I know of others who share this philosophy and dedication to making Reiki affordable to people.

What these books and DVD's can give you is a working knowledge of how to draw the symbols and the process of attunements both receiving and giving. The pictures are very easy to follow and detail hand positions and how and where to draw the symbols for passing on attunements. As for the complaints for not having the traditional hand placements he clearly states the philosophy behind his reasons to give treatment to specific places of the body and why. This made sense to me and as I know every practitioner is not the same. Getting the traditional placements online is easy.

I also felt the attunement dvd's or video's Steve Murray has available are amazing. They are wonderful, life altering, and being absolutely blessed experience. Reiki is for everyone willing to learn and he provides it. Thanks for not coloring inside the lines.

I use this as review book. I have had 2 Reiki classes with someone trained by Mrs. Takata.

After I took my first and second degree Reiki. I felt overloaded with information. I was having a bit of self-doubt during my daily practice and wanted some additional support. I went to the bookstore and was disappointed by the amount of books that claim to be able to teach reiki in a book. I was looking for guidance, not learning symbols and attuements from a book.

Then I came across Pamela Miles's book and I was instantly drawn to it. It is sincere and honest. I read it whenever I feel self-doubt in my daily practice and my hands will instantly become activated and I can feel energy run through my body. It's an inspiration to all reiki practitioners.

The book "Reiki: A Comprehensive Guide" describes the history and benefits of Reiki but it does not teach how to do it. I did not find any drawing showing the placement of hands or any definite procedure. It mentions that courses are offered in order to learn Reiki. If you want to really learn how Reiki is done, you need to get another book.

In my opinion, a lot of care went into making this book very easy to understand and encompasses all the essentials about Reiki.

What I liked best about Pamela Miles view of Reiki is that self-practice/awareness comes first and then Reiki becomes a lifetime journey not an overnight event.
