I read this book in one evening. For anyone sick of dieting and starving themselves, food combining is the way to go. This book is actually about cleansing your body in a two day regimen, but gives insight to a healhful way of eating.

A glimpse of the missing link between body, mind and spirit

If you ever wonder how come some people attract certain sickness/disease while others are just fine under the same circumstance or treatment, this book will definitely tell you something beyond the 'obvious'.
If you believe that you are more than just your physical body, this book can open a brand new horizon in knowing your Self through your body.
Our body is an amazingly intelligent vehicle with ingenious design that effectively carry us around the physical realm for a divine purpose. Many of you, like me, may have very often heard of body, mind and spirit. However, most of us probably have very little clue about what exactly they are about and doubt about the relevance of such 'trinity' to an average Joe.
Thanks to Dr Page's friendly guide, you will navigate through the unchartered territories of the deep root of most commomly found illnesses. Being a medical doctor, she shared technical knowledge with the readers like an old friend telling stories. Those seemingly intimidating medical jargons soon lost their spell to me. With simple illustrations and real life examples, she brings her points across effectively.
I came to know the book through a correspondence course in holistic nutrition study. This book is one of the text books. I immediately fell in love with it and use it as my bible to track down my own deep root issues through observing my own bodily symptoms. It works for me all the time. I also help my friends to 'decode' their symptoms.
I can't help but believe that our body is constantly beaming useful signals to our conscious mind to direct us in making decision that heals. However, we are mostly ignorant about these signals and failed to recognize the real meaning beneath the physical symptoms.
Frontiers of Health is like a roadmap or user manual in terms of understanding our divinely designed body. If you ever feel like you are missing some vital information about the body, mind and spirit link, here is your answer.

A wonderful reference book, for those who wish to work towards true healing and wholeness on all levels, mind body and spirit.
This Book helped me to understand the Chakra System clearly and concisely. With the use of diagrams and easy to understand text I've been enlightened to an energy system which reflects the true essence of any being.
As a former suffer of M.E. I've been able to understand why my body was in dis-ease and with work and a lot of journeying I've learnt how to balance my life to honour my greater self.
Thank You Christine - this book at times has been my bible.

Communication Soul-ution is impactful, straight forward and a compelling resource for growth. So much so that I have given 3 copies to friends. 2 are enjoying it and one quite frankly hasn't picked it up. And he has the most to gain from the insight. No surprise, but I keep trying.
Written in a manner that touches both the intellect and the soul in a conversational tone, I will continue to send others to this wonderful addition in my life.

In doing my health seminars, it is very hard to get individuals to come. Once they are at the seminar and I present material like what is found in "The Gospel of Health, they are very suprised. I would say that at least 80% of the general public will have improved health if they follow some very basic guide-lines when it comes to diet and lifestyle. My own health was greatly improved by following basic good diet habits. I thought my health problems where all related to old age and had no idea that making simple changes in diet would feel so good. Almost anyone who has a need to improve their health can do it by purchasing this book and follow the recommendations. Even major health issues can be reversed with out drugs by following recommendations in this book.

Having about 20 years of study and practice in various healing systems, I recommend this book as a practical and comprehensive tool for the study of Reiki and life energy. It will be of interest to newcomers for the history and basic techniques of Reiki. It will be instructive to practitioners and teachers through the case histories and integration with chakra energetics model. The knowledge presented is in the tradition of the original method which provides energy balancing at all levels-physical,mental,emotional, spiritual. This book illustrates the on-going development of Reiki as a growing complentary modality in the healing arts. John Harvey Gray is one of the original US Masters and has dedicated his life to sharing and teaching Reiki through classes and the establishment of Reiki wellness centers.
The Real Skinny on Reiki

This author studied under Takata. He will give you information not available in other books. Most of the books on Reiki are either repetitive of what's been written, or are the author's own theories. This book is neither. For anyone who has been attuned and is interested in Reiki's History, this book is a highly recommended sourcebook.
Note that the author disagrees with Modern Reiki Masters in that he states that personal, in person, attunements from an authentic Reiki Master who has ALSO been attuned in person from another Reiki Master (the lineage) is the only way to go, to be attuned to real, pure Reiki.
MRM's will argue that you can get attuned from a video, from the Internet, or even attune yourself (the usual babble and claims.). Nonsense. Something may happen, but It ain't Reiki.
If I'd pick a half-dozen books on Reiki that I would consider essential, this book would be about #3. Learn about Takata and Reiki from someone who was there during her peak years.

I am pretty young and healthy but if I continue my ways I will experience dis-ease. This book is a quick read and helped me learn how to tell the differnece between a healing crisis and a disease crisis. Over the past 3 yers I have been learing how healing works, what it takes and realize there will probably be unpleasant symptoms while I heal. Read this book for a kick in the direction of healing and not treating symptoms.

Informative book that explains why you seem to feel worse (temporarily) when you're attempting to improve your health by implementing positive diet/nutrition, exercise and life-style changes. The book is a little gem on a subject that, IMHO, has received little attention. Recommend text as a "heads up" for anyone anticipating a switch to a healthier lifestyle.

This book is great! It explains complex terminology in simple terms, and it advises natural, unprocessed, whole foods eating. I am a holistic health counselor, so I was very happy to read that the author recommends organic, local, and whole foods. This book would be great for anyone who would like to stop getting sick, have more energy, and learn more about nutrition.

Just after reading the first couple of chapters, I started eating healthier! This book has a great wealth of information on how to choose, cook, and eat healthier foods. I especially found the lists of food brands that were more natural and organic very helpful when I went to the market. There are some good recipes in here too. Give it a try! You'll never look at food the same way again!

This book answered all the questions I had about ginseng. I highly recommend it to anybody who is health oriented. Too many people have the tendancy to use herbs and supplements however without realizing that too much or not enough can affect your health in a negative way. If you are serious about taking ginseng, it is very important to know how to use ginseng or you will be sorry!

This book not only offers a great overview of ginseng research, but Bergner goes out of his way to explain how to purchase ginseng, other tonic herbs, and Chinese patent medicines. In fact, there is a chapter on explaining constitutional medicine
and the terms "excess" and "deficiency." Wow! So helpful to us folks who are unfamiliar with these concepts.
Bergner's stories of people who have suffered early aging effects from taking too much ginseng over many years is absolutely fascinating and informative.

I am not into gardening of any kind (I've killed catuses, for pete's sake) and was having a heck of a time finding a book about herbal remedies that didn't spend most of its pages telling me how to pick, grow and pickle (so to speak) my own herbs. This is a marvelous book for someone who wants sound (not faddish) advice on herbal remedies. It has one section where each herb/plant is listed, with recommended use, side effects, safety issues, etc. The next section lists ailments, recommended "herbal prescriptions" (treatments that have been studied "scientifically"), "other herbal considerations" (treatments that haven't had a lot of scientific study, but have demonstrated traditional or anecdotal efficacy), nutritial supplement considerations, and lifestyle considerations. Where it makes a difference, Dr. Brown tells you what form of the herb is best. And great tidbits like how chamomile may be difficult (not dangerous) for someone allergic to ragweed (daisy family), because chamomile is in the same family. This is a very well written, well thought-out book. The only reason someone might not give it five stars is that it doesn't cover as many herbs as in other books. But then, many herbs have little if ANY scientific data, and that was one of the author's considerations for inclusion in this book. Highly recommended.
