Homeopathy Books

This is the finest homeopathic dictionary I have ever seen. The book is comprehensive, accurate, and interesting. Yasgur has certainly made a name for himself among homeopathic writers and publishers. You should have this one in your collection.

Having misplaced my copy of Yasgur's, I'm reminded again of how essential this book is for the lay student and practitioner. Medical terminology is defined and explained, illuminating the works of Kent, McLeod, and other medical practitioners. The unavailabilty of used books is testimony of how valuable the book is.

I thought this book was going to be boring, but it wasn't t all! The author, Romy Fox, has written a sort of "Girlfriends' Guide to Back Pain" (although it's good for guys too), in which she gives you lots of standard (but good) advice on body positioning, exercise, proper lifting techniques, etc. But she also gives great info on reflexology, acupuncture, rolfing, reiki, homeopathy, magnets, DLPA and stress relief. I really liked this book and found it easy and fun to read. If your back hurts, here's a good place to start to solve your problem.

PMS is a tough subject to understand because it's got so many causes and effects, but this book lays it all out as clear as can be. Its practical, down-to-earth suggestions for banishing monthly woes should be helpful to just about any woman. I thought it was terrific!

This book is easy to read as it is in note form. The conditions are outlined alphabetically. The book outlines the homeopathic, acupressure, nutrition, and herbal treatment for each of the conditions listed. In my opinion, it can be used by either the lay person or a professional. Easy to use and easy to read. Thanks Dr. Hassman, we needed somethng like this.

The themes covered in this book are universal. It helps you make connections between physical and emotional illness and will open eyes to individual problems. If you are a homeopath or use flower essences, it groups psychological problems and points out relationships. However, I would caution you to use flower essences before homeopathic treatment, rather than concurrently. The energetic resonance may not match as well as the words that seem to speak of the same problem. Then too, it is difficult to know where positive results are coming from when therapies are mixed.

This book simplifies the study of Aromatherapy, with information straight-to-the-point that clearly explains how useful can essential oils be. In an A to Z format, the author details the characteristics of more than 50 essential oils, giving special tips for what it addresses, what does it helps promote and some safety information, such as oils that might irritate skin if applied directly. The book also includes Lifestyle tips for different needs such as for traveling, during the menstruation, at the office, in relationships, for the spirit, and many others. The author gives highlights about ways to use the essential oils and how many drops should be used. Seems like every detail about basic aromatherapy is covered in this book. Excellent resource of information when looking for a new oil.

So, your serious about studying homoeopathy? Well, after the Organon and Chronic Diseases, this book should be your next step in learning the philosophy behind this unique system of medicine.
This is an essential book which every practicising homoeopath will return to again and again throughout their practice. If possible, I would recommend you buy the editions printed in the United States or the UK as these will last longer and the investment will be worth it.

James Tyler Kent is one of the best known homoeopaths in the modern world and the reading of his work is essential (in this student's opinion), but it is a guide only to the philosophy, as stated in the preface. It should be read in conjunction with the Organon and used as a study guide. Being clearer than the Organon, it will help steer you in the right direction.

This book helped me so much, in trying to find out why my cat was pulling her fur out. We, along with our Vet, had tried everything, and nothing seemed to work. A friend recommended I try Dr. Bach`s Rescue Remedy, that is used to calm people and pets. I tried it, and then bought this book from Amazon.com. I found answers I needed, in this book, and went to their web site to send an email, asking if they had a remedy for cats pulling out their fur. They recommended two remedies, which I ordered. My cat has finally stopped pulling out her fur, and seems much more happy now! This is a very helpful book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has cats.

Stefan Ball, of the Dr. Edward Bach Centre and Bach Foundation has come up with a unique approach to understanding and using the Bach Flower Remedies with this book, one that looks beyond the descriptions of what the individual flowers do and how to choose and use them (scores of books are available that do this already, some with him as author, no less). The focus here, as one can gather from the subtitle, is on personal and spiritual development and growth. I am not usually one who even considers reading so-called "self-help" books, but since I am heavily involved with the Bach system, including training to become a practitioner, I already had an interest in that part of the subject. This book does cover in detail, in chapters alternating with more philosophical ones, what each of the 38 Bach Flower Remedies do, but even here, there are more in-depth descriptions and different ways of looking at the Remedies, using many thoughtful examples (some from the author's own life experiences), than usually appear in these books. Every other chapter covers topics such as intuition, peak experiences, simplicity and finding one's life purpose not only as they relate to using the Bach system, but also how they have been discussed throughout history by philosphers, authors and scientists. This sounds like it could get rather heavy pretty quickly, but Ball keeps the tone light and the style of writing almost conversational so that the book is very easy and quick to read while conveying a wealth of useful information that makes you think about your own life. For someone already using the Bach Flowers, Bloom offers fascinating, fresh insight into using them for a deeper purpose, beyond, say, "merely" taking them for relieving depression. For someone new to Bach Flowers, it provides a wonderful starting point, complete with all the basic information as well as an underlying theme that can be tapped into when the time is right. Seventy years on, Bach Flowers continue to help people change their own lives. Bloom brings forward this message in a comfortable, inspiring fashion which is destined to make it a classic.

This book written by one of the masters of homoeopathy deserves
greater appreciation. Boenninghausen great physician that he
was, saved many from needless suffering and death. That is the book's recommendation, it does not require anthing further in the way of praise.
