I borrowed this book from the library to address my ongoing medical issues, PNAR, PCOS, Diabetes,Anemia, and more. I followed the advice in the book concerning Naturopaty and supplements for my problems. I now feel better than I have in years. I have medical and prescription coverage, but the medicines the doctors gave somewhat helped with symptoms, just barely. After just one day of taking the suggested supplements for my conditions, I felt relief. No Joke. I thank god for this book, particularly it's naturopathic recommendations. I've been telling all my friends about this book.

This is a good book for superficial knowledge. It compares the different methods of treating the same disease. Could have been better.

If you have a cat or cats and you would like to learn more about the use of homeopathy in treating cats, this book is for you! Written by someone who was a great leader in the use of homeopathy with animals, there is no book written by any American author that can remotely compare with this one! I run a small, private feline sanctuary and this book has probably saved me THOUSANDS of dollars in vet bills.

This is a very detailed book for homeopathic remedies for cats. Each remedy is well described, but if you're serious about homeopathy you'll need a competent Materia Medica.

Moreover, the layout of the book follows an allopathic index, meaning by dis-ease and not by symptom. It may be useful to the novice but has nothing to do with classical homeopathy. I'd suggest you get Don Hamilton's book instead.

Unless you have already used homeopathy on yourself, I'd advise against using this book. Explore homeopathy in depth before using these on you cat.

This book has been very helpful in learning more about homeopathy and how to treat myself and my family. It is written on a level that makes it easy to understand, even if you don't know much about homeopathy. It's also spiral-bound, which makes it nice for reference reading. This author was recommended to me by my chiropractor.

I have been using homeopathy for over 10 years. This book covers a decent amount for a beginner, but it is very difficult to find something with no index. And it does not list something as common as sleeplessness, as all of my other books do. As with anything, I guess it is good to have more than one reference on a subject.

This is the BIBLE on alternative health care. I have 3 very old pets (Sheltie 15+ and cats 17+, 13+) and this has made all the difference in their old age being enjoyable for us all. I am fortunate to live in the Los Angeles area with a plethora of specialists in alternative health care for animals. That said, you get out of something what you put in and animals require proactive, educated owners.

This book allowed me, a novice when I bought it, to learn about other types of healthcare and, with a simple instructions, try homeopathy, chiropracty and acupuncture to treat my pets.

I love how the chapters are broken down by condition with specific cross references to different types of treatment per condition. There are very helpful warnings for every condition indicating when you can try to assist healing on your own or when you MUST take the pet in for doctor's treatment. The section explaining flower essences was a mind opener. I have seen the wonderful results first hand time and time again.

I can honestly say this book has allowed me to work with the best doctors available and help my pets resolve the many health crises that arise as pets age. I can't recommend this book strongly enough and insist all my friends who get dogs buy it and Dr. Pitcairns Natural Health book. Win-win.

Questions from the Heart: Answers to 100 Questions About Chelation Therapy, a Safe Alternative to Bypass Surgery

My husband recently had a heart attact. I believe all patients should be well informed and not just let their doctors make all the decisions. This book answered a lot of questions I had about Chelation Theraby, where you receive 3 to 4 hour treatments for about 30 plus treatments, afterwards maintenance treatments are needed. Chelation removes the HEAVY METALS from arteries and cells, thus making the arteries more flexible and less likely to need the dangerous and ofter useless angioplasty and bypass surgury. I personally asked out Cardiologist about it. The reply was "it hasn't been proven". The book explaines this ruthless and uncaring attitude by the Cardiac Doctors, who prefer to kill their patients with dangerous and often unnecessary surgery when Chelation (unproved by a large double blind study and blocked by large pharmacutical companies die to their lack of profit in it) could be given a try at saving the life of a loved one. It explains that people need to assist Chelation Theraps and be willing to help themselves and make lifstyle changes. It also recommends against use of against oral chelation pills you can buy in the Health Food Store as anything but a maintenance assistant. After reading the answers to these questions, I have purschased a larger book on Chelation Therapy to read so I can assist my husband to live a longer and better live as the book made a lot of sense to me. It also warned me about the dangers of taking too much calcimum by itself, as it is a good artery hardener, so levels of suppliments are necessary to know and monitor. I do not think my insurance company pays for Chelation Therapy, so I am investigating to find a company who believes in helping the sick patient and just not in supporting the Cardiac Surgury Industry and the Pharmecticutical Companies to get riches. I want my husband to get better, not sicker by unnecessary surgury and then just having to have it done again in a few years. Recommend buying this book as it will open your eyen to a bit of what actually goes on and is available that your trusted Cardiac Doctor just doesn'd care to tell you about or is more afraid of being laughed at by other Cardiac Doctors and the Backward AMA than he is at saving your life. Recommend you immediately read this book, spead to your Cardiac Doctor about Chelation, and if he and your Insurance laughs at you or poo poos the idea, recomend you highly consider changing both Cardiac Specialists and Insurance Companies. I have written to Dr. Whittakers publishing company, Phillips - see his website, and received a list of doctors who preform Chelation in the Detroit Area. Not I am looking into what Insurance Companies will cover or partially Cover this process and how to find a recommending doctor, since I have lost my trust and faith in the current doctors after my husbands angioplasty when he just agreed and it was done before I was even notified! You have to educate yourself on everything concerning you own specific health proplem or doctors will actually kill you with the wrong medication and unnecessary surgury. Read the Statistics on how many people die each year from taking their prescription medications exactly as they are supposed to. Read how people die of unnecessary surgury because surgeons are trained to operate and are taught it is the way to go. Small books like 100 Questions about Chelation Therapy answer basic questions and can lead you to buying larger more instructive books and then may lead you to doing investigative work in changing Cardiac doctors and Insurance Companies, like it started me doing, because I see a more non-invasive, and much better way to go than surgury and your doctor is just not going to let you know about this option, and if you bring it up, he is just going to say it has not been proven. However remember, it is your live and heart and arteries we are talking about here and not his. It is just better to be informed and then you are better able to make your own decisions and write your Insurance companies and let then know you want this type of thing covered for the benefit of heart patients of the future. Book is well written with a nice introduction and preface. The questions are simple and the answers are easy to understand by the layman. Recommend reading it or at least request your local library if they could not buy a copy for their shelves.

I still had my doubts about the safety and use of Chelation therapy as an alternative to curing heart problems related to blockages. I was not convinced and the book did little to educate me a tyo why i could trust the procedures.

I have heard of great results by people who have gone this route - and I do not doubt that people have gotten better - but I am not sure that is was because of the use of this therapy.

I think bypass surgery is brutal and hurts rathers than cures or heals. I am just not yet inn agreement with this book - but I could be wrong and it may be wonderful - I just have my doubts.

My interest in homeopathy began after reading a short discussion of it in something called the Whole Earth Catalog in 1972. I studied it on my own even before you could find many books on the subject. 20 years later I went to school for it for 3 years. That being said I have always found homeopathy a frustrating discipline to the point where even after all the studies I never did practice it. My results using it were just too hit-and-miss for me to feel comfortable treating other people. Consequently, it's been something I've confined to treating myself and close family members. I love the theory of it, and I know it works, but good luck finding the right remedy at the right potency even with computers and a library full of books.
What I've always wished for with homeopathy was a simpler system and particularly one free of repertorization, which I regard as homeopathy's weak point. Then I ran across your book on Autopathy. I ordered it immediately and read it in one evening. First, I'll just say it's a great book on homeopathy in general. It gets to the heart of what homeopathy is and why it works in a way I had never heard expressed before. Even after all these years I still learned some new things about homeopathy. It changed my perspectives on the philosophy and also what it is we are trying to accomplish with it. In many ways I gained a new respect for homeopathy from reading your book.
All that being said, I have not actually tried Autopathy yet. I am hoping that it is not just another brilliant theory that yields little when applied clinically but I have great hopes for it all the same. If it works, it will be what I've been searching for for the last 30+ years. I know that's a lot to ask from this humble offspring of the great Hahnemannian system but after reading this book I'm again both optimistic and revitalized. Thank you for your insights and this new approach.

This book is a great practical guide to using the Bach Flower remedies. The author delves into the emotional aspects of using the remedies and gives many useful tips and tools for working with them. The author includes specific guidance for various disturbances, like "Breaking Habits, Success Formula, Travel Formula, PMS Formula, Insomnia Formula, Releasing Relationships Formula", etc. An invaluable resource on the subject.

If you are into learning about and using natural home remedies, then this is the book to have as a reference guide on your self. It has sections on homeopathy, herbalism, flower remedies, aromatherapy, vitamins and nutritional therapies. This is not a boring book by any means. It's packed full of very useful information and is beautifully illustrated.

Very simply written. Author rather than concentrating on medicinal details, gives remedies for the situations outlining the physical, mental & emotional symptoms. Useful addition to anyone intending to use Homeopathy.

One of the reasons people say Homeopathy doesn't work and is all placebo effect is they don't follow the instructions. while you take homeopathy, you should avoid coffee(Any caffine), perfumes. Also you are not supposed to take any food/drink before & after for at least 30 min. THere are many others & if you don't follow these, obviously it won't have any effect.

The book is very descriptive in explaining homeopathic remedies and their application. I could find a lot of information in this book that I needed to answer qestions regarding the practice of homeopathy.
